1. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൃപ ലഭിച്ചതു വ്യര്ത്ഥമായിത്തീരരുതു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് സഹപ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരായി നിങ്ങളെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

1. As co-workers, however, we also beseech, that, not in vain, the favour of God, ye welcome;

2. “പ്രസാദകാലത്തു ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളി; രക്ഷാദിവസത്തില് ഞാന് നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചു” എന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുവല്ലോ. ഇപ്പോള് ആകുന്നു സുപ്രസാദകാലം; ഇപ്പോള് ആകുന്നു രക്ഷാദിവസം .

2. For he saith In an approved season, have I hearkened unto thee, and, in a day of salvation, have succoured thee; Lo! now, a well-approved season, Lo! now, a day of salvation:

3. ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കു ആക്ഷേപം വരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് ഒന്നിലും ഇടര്ച്ചെക്കു ഹേതു കൊടുക്കാതെ സകലത്തിലും ഞങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ

3. Giving, no single, occasion of stumbling, in anything, that the ministry be not blamed;

4. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരായി കാണിക്കുന്നു; ബഹുസഹിഷ്ണുത, കഷ്ടം, ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു, സങ്കടം , തല്ലു,

4. But, in everything, commending ourselves as God's ministers, in much endurance, in tribulations, in necessities, in straits,

5. തടവു, കലഹം, അദ്ധ്വാനം, ഉറക്കിളെപ്പു, പട്ടിണി, നിര്മ്മലത, പരിജ്ഞാനം,

5. in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in toilings, in watchings, in fastings,

6. ദീര്ഘക്ഷമ, ദയ, പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു, നിര്വ്യാജസ്നേഹം, സത്യവചനം , ദൈവശക്തി

6. in sanctity, in knowledge, in long-suffering, in graciousness, in Holy Spirit,

7. എന്നിവയിലും ഇടത്തും വലത്തും നീതിയുടെ ആയുധങ്ങള് ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു

7. in love unfeigned, in discourse of truth, in power of God; through the weapons of righteousness on the right hand and left,

8. മാനാപമാനങ്ങളും ദുഷ്കീര്ത്തിസല്ക്കീര്ത്തികളും അനുഭവിച്ചും ചതിയന്മാരെന്നിട്ടും സത്യവാന്മാര്,

8. through glory and dishonour, through bad report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true,

9. ആരും അറിയാത്തവരെന്നിട്ടും എല്ലാവരും നല്ലവണ്ണം അറിയുന്നവര്, മരിക്കുന്നവരെന്നിട്ടും ഇതാ, ഞങ്ങള് ജീവിക്കുന്നു; ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെന്നിട്ടും കൊല്ലപ്പെടാത്തവര്;

11. Our mouth, is opened unto you, O Corinthians! our heart, hath become enlarged:

12. Ye are not straitened in us, but are straitened in your hearts' affections;

13. ഇതിന്നു പ്രതിഫലമായി നിങ്ങളും വിശാലതയുള്ളവരായിരിപ്പിന് എന്നു ഞാന് മക്കളോടു എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

13. Howbeit, by way of the like recompense as, unto children, I speak, be enlarged, even, ye.

14. നിങ്ങള് അവിശ്വാസികളോടു ഇണയല്ലാപ്പിണ കൂടരുതു; നീതിക്കും അധര്മ്മത്തിന്നും തമ്മില് എന്തോരു ചേര്ച്ച? വെളിച്ചത്തിന്നു ഇരുളോടു എന്തോരു കൂട്ടായ്മ?

14. Be not getting diversely yoked with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship hath light with darkness?

15. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നും ബെലീയാലിന്നും തമ്മില് എന്തു പൊരുത്തം? അല്ല, വിശ്വാസിക്കു അവിശ്വാസിയുമായി എന്തു ഔഹരി?

15. And what concord hath Christ with Beliar? Or what part hath a believer with an unbeliever?

16. ദൈവാലയത്തിന്നു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടു എന്തു യോജ്യത? നാം ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയമല്ലോ. “ഞാന് അവരില് വസിക്കയും അവരുടെ ഇടയില് നടക്കയും ചെയ്യും; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ദൈവവും അവര് എനിക്കു ജനവും ആകും” എന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ. അതുകൊണ്ടു “അവരുടെനടുവില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു വേര്പ്പെട്ടിരിപ്പിന് എന്നു കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; അശുദ്ധമായതു ഒന്നും തൊടരുതു; എന്നാല് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു
