1. ആകയാല് പ്രിയമക്കള് എന്നപോലെ ദൈവത്തെ അനുകരിപ്പിന് .

1. Be ye therefore folowers of God, as deare chyldren:

2. ക്രിസ്തുവും നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്നെത്താന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായ വഴിപാടും യാഗവുമായി അര്പ്പിച്ചതു പോലെ സ്നേഹത്തില് നടപ്പിന്
പുറപ്പാടു് 29:18, സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 40:6

2. And walke ye in loue, euen as Christe hath loued vs, and hath geuen hym selfe for vs an offering and a sacrifice of a sweete smellyng sauour to God.

3. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പും യാതൊരു അശുദ്ധിയും അത്യാഗ്രഹവും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പേര് പറകപോലും അരുതു;

3. But fornication, and all vncleannesse, or couetousnesse, let it not be once named among you, as it becommeth saintes:

4. അങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും ഉചിതം. ചീത്തത്തരം, പൊട്ടച്ചൊല്, കളിവാക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ചേര്ച്ചയല്ലാത്തവ ഒന്നും അരുതു; സ്തോത്രമത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

4. Neither fylthynesse, neither foolyshe talkyng, neither iestyng, which are not comely: but rather, geuyng of thankes.

5. ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരന് , അശുദ്ധന് , വിഗ്രഹാരാധിയായ ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹി ഇവര്ക്കും ആര്ക്കും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും രാജ്യത്തില് അവകാശമില്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

5. For this ye knowe, that no whoremonger, neither vncleane person, nor couetous person, which is a worshipper of images, hath any inheritaunce in the kyngdome of Christe, and of God.

6. വ്യര്ത്ഥവാക്കുകളാല് ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; ഈ വക നിമിത്തമല്ലോ ദൈവകോപം അനുസരണം കെട്ടവരുടെ മേല് വരുന്നു.

6. Let no man deceaue you with vayne wordes: For, because of such thynges commeth the wrath of God vppon the chyldren of disobedience.

7. നിങ്ങള് അവരുടെ കൂട്ടാളികള് ആകരുതു.

7. Be not ye therefore companions of them.

8. മുമ്പെ നിങ്ങള് ഇരുളായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ കര്ത്താവില് വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു.

8. For ye were sometimes darknesse: but nowe are ye lyght in the Lorde. Walke as chyldren of lyght.

9. കര്ത്താവിന്നു പ്രസാദമായതു എന്തെന്നു പരിശോധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വെളിച്ചത്തിലുള്ളവരായി നടന്നുകൊള്വിന് .

9. For the fruite of the spirite (is) in all goodnesse, and righteousnesse, & trueth,

10. സകല സല്ഗുണവും നീതിയും സത്യവുമല്ലോ വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ ഫലം.

10. Approuyng what is acceptable vnto the Lorde.

11. ഇരുട്ടിന്റെ നിഷ്ഫലപ്രവൃത്തികളില് കൂട്ടാളികള് ആകരുതു; അവയെ ശാസിക്ക അത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

11. And haue no felowship with the vnfruitefull workes of darknesse, but rather euen rebuke them.

12. അവര് ഗൂഢമായി ചെയ്യുന്നതു പറവാന് പോലും ലജ്ജയാകുന്നു.

12. For it is shame euen to name those thynges whiche are done of them in secrete.

13. അവയെ ശാസിക്കുമ്പോഴോ സകലത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു വെളിച്ചത്താല് ബോധം വരും; ബോധം വരുന്നതെല്ലാം വെളിച്ചം പോലെ തെളിവല്ലോ.

13. But all thynges, when they are rebuked of the lyght, are manifest: For all that which do make manifest, is lyght.

14. അതുകൊണ്ടു“ഉറങ്ങുന്നവനേ, ഉണര്ന്നു മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക; എന്നാല് ക്രിസ്തു നിന്റെ മേല് പ്രകാശിക്കും” എന്നു ചൊല്ലുന്നു.

14. Wherefore he sayth: Awake thou that sleepest, and stande vp from the dead, and Christe shall geue thee lyght.

15. ആകയാല് സൂക്ഷമത്തോടെ, അജ്ഞാനികളായിട്ടല്ല ജ്ഞാനികളായിട്ടത്രേ നടപ്പാന് നോക്കുവിന് .

15. Take heede therfore howe ye walke circumspectlye: not as vnwyse, but as wyse,

16. ഇതു ദുഷ്കാലമാകയാല് സമയം തക്കത്തില് ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

16. Redeemyng the time, because ye dayes are euyll.

17. ബുദ്ധിഹീനരാകാതെ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ഇന്നതെന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

17. Wherfore be ye not vnwise, but vnderstandyng what the wyll of the Lord is.

18. വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു മത്തരാകാരുതു; അതിനാല് ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു ഉണ്ടാകുമല്ലോ. ആത്മാവു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി സങ്കീര്ത്തനങ്ങളാലും

18. And be not drunke with wine, wherin is excesse: but be fylled with the spirite,

19. സ്തുതികളാലും ആത്മിക ഗീതങ്ങളാലും തമ്മില് സംസാരിച്ചും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് കര്ത്താവിന്നു പാടിയും കീര്ത്തനം ചെയ്തും

19. Speaking vnto your selues in psalmes and hymnes, and spirituall songues, syngyng and makyng melodie to the Lorde in your heartes:

20. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്നു എല്ലായ്പോഴും എല്ലാറ്റിന്നു വേണ്ടിയും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തുകൊള്വിന് .

20. Geuing thankes alwayes for all thinges vnto God and the father, in ye name of our Lorde Iesus Christe,

21. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ഭയത്തില് അന്യോന്യം കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിപ്പിന് .

21. Submittyng your selues one to another in the feare of God.

22. ഭാര്യമാരേ, കര്ത്താവിന്നു എന്നപോലെ സ്വന്ത ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങുവിന് .
ഉല്പത്തി 3:16

22. Wyues, submit your selues vnto your owne husbandes, as vnto the Lorde:

23. ക്രിസ്തു ശരീരത്തിന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവായി സഭെക്കു തലയാകുന്നതുപോലെ ഭര്ത്താവു ഭാര്യകൂ തലയാകുന്നു.

23. For the husbande is the head of the wyfe, euen as Christe is the head of the Church: & he is the sauiour of the bodie.

24. എന്നാല് സഭ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതു പോലെ ഭാര്യമാരും ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര്ക്കും സകലത്തിലും കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിക്കേണം.

24. But as the Church is subiect to Christ, lykewyse the wyues to their owne husbandes in all thynges.

25. ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാരേ, ക്രിസ്തുവും സഭയെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിന് .

25. Ye husbandes loue your wyues, euen as Christe also loued the Churche, and gaue hym selfe for it,

26. അവന് അവളെ വചനത്തോടുകൂടിയ ജലസ്നാനത്താല് വെടിപ്പാക്കി വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

26. To sanctifie it, clensyng [it] in the fountayne of water in the worde,

27. കറ, ചുളുക്കം മുതലായതു ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതെ സഭയെ ശുദ്ധയും നിഷ്കളങ്കയുമായി തനിക്കു തന്നേ തേജസ്സോടെ മുന്നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നെത്താന് അവള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

27. To make it vnto hym selfe a glorious Churche, not hauyng spot or wrinckle, or any such thyng: but that it should be holy, and without blame.

28. അവ്വണ്ണം ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാരും തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ സ്വന്ത ശരീരങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു. ഭാര്യയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവന് തന്നെത്താന് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

28. So ought men to loue their wyues, as their owne bodies. He that loueth his wyfe, loueth hym selfe.

29. ആരും തന്റെ ജഡത്തെ ഒരുനാളും പകെച്ചിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ; ക്രിസ്തുവും സഭയെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു പോലെ അതിനെ പോറ്റി പുലര്ത്തുകയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.

29. For no man euer yet hated his owne flesshe: but norissheth & cherissheth it, euen as the Lorde the Churche.

30. നാം അവന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അവയവങ്ങളല്ലോ.

30. For we are members of his body, of his flesshe, and of his bones.

31. അതു നിമിത്തം ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായിത്തീരും .
ഉല്പത്തി 2:24

31. For this cause shall a man leaue father and mother, and shalbe ioyned vnto his wyfe, and two shalbe made one flesshe.

32. ഈ മര്മ്മം വലിയതു; ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും സഭയെയും ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചത്രേ പറയുന്നതു. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ തന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം. ഭാര്യയോ ഭര്ത്താവിനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

32. This is a great secrete: but I speake of Christe and of the Churche.
