1. വല്ല ഊനമോ വിരൂപതയോ ഉള്ള കാളയെ എങ്കിലും ആടിനെ എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കരുതു; അതു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

1. Thou shalt not sacrifice unto the LORD thy God an ox, or a sheep, wherein is a blemish, or any evil�favouredness: for that is an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ഏതൊരു പട്ടണത്തിലെങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു അവന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിക്കയും

2. If there be found in the midst of thee, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that doeth that which is evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant,

3. ഞാന് കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെയോ സൂര്യചന്ദ്രന്മാരെയോ ആകാശത്തിലെ ശേഷം സൈന്യത്തെയോ ചെന്നു സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്ത പുരുഷനെയാകട്ടെ സ്ത്രീയെയാകട്ടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് കണ്ടുപിടിക്കയും

3. and hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;

4. അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിനക്കു അറിവുകിട്ടുകയും ചെയ്താല് നീ നല്ലവണ്ണം ശോധനകഴിച്ചു അങ്ങനെയുള്ള മ്ളേച്ഛത യിസ്രായേലില് നടന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു വാസ്തവവും കാര്യം യഥാര്ത്ഥവും എന്നു കണ്ടാല്

4. and it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, then shalt thou inquire diligently, and, behold, if it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel;

5. ആ ദുഷ്ടകാര്യം ചെയ്ത പുരുഷനെയോ സ്ത്രീയെയോ പട്ടണവാതിലിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം.

5. then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have done this evil thing, unto thy gates, even the man or the woman; and thou shalt stone them with stones, that they die.

6. മരണയോഗ്യനായവനെ കൊല്ലുന്നതു രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ സാക്ഷികളുടെ വാമൊഴിമേല് ആയിരിക്കേണം; ഏകസാക്ഷിയുടെ വാമൊഴിമേല് അവനെ കൊല്ലരുതു.

6. At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is to die be put to death; at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

7. അവനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യം സാക്ഷികളുടെയും പിന്നെ സര്വ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും കൈ അവന്റെമേല് ചെല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

7. The hand of the witnesses shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.

8. നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് കുലപാതകമാകട്ടെ വസ്തുസംബന്ധമായ വ്യവഹാരമാകട്ടെ അടികലശലാകട്ടെ ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ള ആവലാധികാര്യങ്ങളില് വല്ലതും വിധിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു പ്രയാസം ഉണ്ടായാല് നീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു പോകേണം.

8. If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;

9. ലേവ്യരായ പുരേഹിതന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കലും അന്നുള്ള ന്യായാധിപന്റെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു ചോദിക്കേണം; അവര് നിനക്കു വിധി പറഞ്ഞുതരും. നിലക്കുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്റെയോ ന്യായാധിപന്റെയോ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെ ആരെങ്കിലും അഹങ്കാരം കാണിച്ചാല് അവന് മരിക്കേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം. രാജാവിനെ എന്റെമേല് ആക്കുമെന്നു പറയുമ്പോള്ാലം ഒക്കെയും അതു വായിക്കയും വേണം.

9. and thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days: and thou shalt inquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:
