1. സഹോദരന്റെ കാളയോ ആടോ തെറ്റി ഉഴലുന്നതു നീ കണ്ടാല് അതിനെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയാതെ സഹോദരന്റെ അടുക്കല് എത്തിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണം.

1. 'If you see your brother's bull or sheep walking away, do not pretend that you do not see them. Be sure to return them to your brother.

2. സഹോദരന് നിനക്കു സമീപസ്ഥനല്ല, നീ അവനെ അറികയുമില്ല എന്നുവരികില് അതിനെ നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം; സഹോദരന് അതിനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു വരുംവരെ അതു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ അവന്നു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

2. If your brother is not home, or if you do not know who he is, then bring the animal to your house. Keep it there until your brother looks for it. Then return it to him.

3. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവന്റെ കഴുതയുടെയും വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെയും സഹോദരന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു കാണാതെ പോയിട്ടു നീ കണ്ടെത്തിയ ഏതൊരു വസ്തുവിന്റെയും കാര്യത്തില് ചെയ്യേണം; നീ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയേണ്ടതല്ല.

3. Do the same with his donkey, or his coat, or anything lost by your brother. If you find what he has lost, you must help him.

4. സഹോദരന്റെ കഴുതയോ കാളയോ വഴിയില് വീണുകിടക്കുന്നതു നീ കണ്ടാല് വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകളയാതെ അതിനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിപ്പാന് അവനെ സഹായിക്കേണം.

4. If you see your brother's donkey or his ox fallen down by the road, do not pretend that you do not see them. Be sure to help him lift them up again.

5. പുരുഷന്റെ വസ്ത്രം സ്ത്രീയും സ്ത്രീയുടൈ വസ്ത്രം പുരുഷനും ധരിക്കരുതു; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നവരൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

5. 'A woman must not wear men's clothing. And a man must not put on women's clothing. For the Lord your God hates whoever does these things.

6. മരത്തിന്മേലെങ്കിലും നിലത്തെങ്കിലും കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോ മുട്ടകളോ ഉള്ള ഒരു പക്ഷിക്കൂടു നീ വഴിയില്വെച്ചു കണ്ടാല് തള്ള കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളിന്മേലോ മുട്ടകളിന്മേലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നീ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ തള്ളയെ പിടിക്കരുതു.

6. 'You might find a bird's nest by the road, in a tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs. If you find the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not take the mother with the young.

7. നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിപ്പാനും ദീര്ഘായുസ്സുണ്ടാകുവാനും തള്ളയെ വിട്ടുകളയേണം; കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ എടുത്തുകൊള്ളാം.

7. Be sure to let the mother go. But you may take the young for yourself. Then it will go well with you, and you will live long.

8. ഒരു പുതിയ വീടു പണിതാല് നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്മുകളില്നിന്നു വല്ലവനും വീണിട്ടു വീട്ടിന്മേല് രക്തപാതകം വരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അതിന്നു കൈമതില് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

8. 'When you build a new house, you should put a short wall around your roof. Then no one will fall from it and bring the guilt of blood upon your house.

9. നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തില് വേറൊരു വക വിത്തും ഇടരുതു; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല് നീ ഇട്ട വിത്തിന്റെ വിളവും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനുഭവവും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരംവകെക്കു ചേര്ന്നുപോകും.

9. 'Do not plant among your vines another kind of seed. All that grows from what you have planted will be unclean.

10. കാളയെയും കഴുതയെയും ഒന്നിച്ചു പൂട്ടി ഉഴരുതു.

10. Do not plow with a bull and a donkey together.

11. ആട്ടുരോമവും ചണയും കൂടിക്കലര്ന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കരുതു.

11. Do not wear clothing made of both wool and linen together.

12. നീ പുതെക്കുന്ന മേലാടയുടെ നാലു കോണിലും പൊടിപ്പുണ്ടാക്കേണം.

12. Make tassels to put on the four corners of the clothing you use to cover yourself.

13. ഒരു പുരുഷന് ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നശേഷം അവളെ വെറുത്തു

13. 'If a man takes a wife and goes in to her and decides he does not like her,

14. ഞാന് ഈ സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നാറെ അവളില് കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെ മേല് നാണക്കേടു ചുമത്തി അപവാദം പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കിയാല്

14. and says that she did sinful acts and puts her to shame before others and says, 'I took this woman, but when I came near her, I found that she had been with another man,'

15. യുവതിയുടെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര് അവളുടെ കന്യകാലക്ഷണങ്ങളെടുത്തു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

15. then the girl's father and mother should bring what is needed to prove she has not been with another man to the leaders of the city at the gate.

16. യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന് മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുഞാന് എന്റെ മകളെ ഈ പുരുഷന്നു ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുത്തു; എന്നാല് അവന്നു അവളോടു അനിഷ്ടമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. The girl's father will say to the leaders, 'I gave my daughter to this man for a wife. But he turned against her.

17. ഞാന് നിന്റെ മകളില് കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവളുടെമേല് നാണക്കേടു ചുമത്തുന്നു; എന്നാല് എന്റെ മകളുടെ കന്യകാലക്ഷണങ്ങള് ഇതാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പില് ആ വസ്ത്രം വിടര്ക്കേണം.

17. He said she has done sinful acts, saying, 'I found that your daughter has been with another man.' But I brought what will prove that my daughter has not been with another man.' And they will spread the clothing in front of the leaders of the city.

18. അപ്പോള് പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാര് ആ പുരുഷനെ പിടിച്ചു ശിക്ഷിക്കേണം.

18. Then the leaders of that city will take the man and punish him.

19. അവന് യിസ്രായേലില് ഒരു കന്യകയുടെമേല് അപവാദം പറഞ്ഞുണ്ടാക്കിയതിനാല് അവര് അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശു പിഴ ചെയ്യിച്ചു യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം; അവള് അവന്നു തന്നേ ഭാര്യയായിരിക്കേണം; അവന്നു തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊരിക്കലും അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ.

19. They will make him pay a hundred pieces of silver and give it to the girl's father, because he has put to shame the name of an Israelite girl who has not had a man. She will still be his wife. He cannot divorce her as long as he lives.

20. എന്നാല് യുവതിയില് കന്യകാലക്ഷണം കണ്ടില്ല എന്നുള്ള വാക്കു സത്യം ആയിരുന്നാല്

20. But if it is true that the girl was found to have had another man,

21. അവര് യുവതിയെ അവളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടുവാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവള് യിസ്രായേലില് വഷളത്വം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില്വെച്ചു വേശ്യാദോഷം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു അവളുടെ പട്ടണക്കാര് അവളെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

21. then they will bring the girl to the door of her father's house. There the men of her city will kill her with stones, because she has done a foolish act in Israel by acting in her father's house like a woman who sells the use of her body. So you will get rid of the sin from among you.

22. ഒരു പുരുഷന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ ഒരുത്തന് ശയിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടാല് സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ച പുരുഷനും സ്ത്രീയും ഇരുവരും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

22. 'If a man is found lying with a married woman, then both of them must die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman. So you will get rid of the sin from Israel.

23. വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന കന്യകയായ ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തന് പട്ടണത്തില്വെച്ചു കണ്ടു അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ചാല്

23. 'If a girl who has never had a man is promised in marriage to a man, another man might find her in the city and lie with her.

24. യുവതി പട്ടണത്തില് ആയിരുന്നിട്ടും നിലവിളിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടും പുരുഷന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ ഭാര്യെക്കു പോരായ്ക വരുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങള് അവരെ ഇരുവരെയും പട്ടണവാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു കൊല്ലേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

24. Then you must bring them both to the gate of that city and kill them with stones. Put the girl to death because she did not cry for help in the city, and the man because he has sinned against his neighbor's wife. So you will get rid of the sin from among you.

25. എന്നാല് വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തന് വയലില് വെച്ചു കണ്ടു ബലാല്ക്കാരംചെയ്തു അവളോടു കൂടെ ശയിച്ചാല് പുരുഷന് മാത്രം മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

25. But if the man finds a girl in the field who is promised in marriage, and makes her lie with him, then only the man who lies with her will die.

26. യുവതിയോടോ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യരുതു; അവള്ക്കു മരണയോഗ്യമായ പാപമില്ല. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ നേരെ കയര്ത്തു അവനെ കൊല്ലുന്നതുപോലെയത്രേ ഈ കാര്യം.

26. Do nothing to the girl. There is no sin in the girl bad enough for her to be put to death. It is as if a man goes against his neighbor and kills him.

27. വയലില്വെച്ചല്ലോ അവന് അവളെ കണ്ടെത്തിയതു; യുവതി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവളെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആള് ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.

27. When he found her in the field, the girl promised in marriage cried out. But there was no one to save her.

28. വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിയാത്ത കന്യകയായ ഒരു യുവതിയെ ഒരുത്തന് കണ്ടു അവളെ പിടിച്ചു അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കയും അവരെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

28. 'If a man finds a girl who has never had a man and is not promised in marriage, and takes her and lies with her, and they are found,

29. അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ച പുരുഷന് യുവതിയുടെ അപ്പന്നു അമ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശു കൊടുക്കേണം; അവള് അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയാകയും വേണം. അവന് അവള്ക്കു പോരായ്കവരുത്തിയല്ലോ; അവന്നു തന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊരിക്കലും അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ.

29. then the man who lay with her must give fifty pieces of silver to the girl's father. And she will become his wife, because he has put her to shame. He cannot divorce her as long as he lives.

30. അപ്പന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ ആരും പരിഗ്രഹിക്കരുതു; അപ്പന്റെ വസ്ത്രം നീക്കുകയും അരുതു.
