1. ഇനി സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള നമ്മുടെ സമാഗമനവും സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു

1. We beseech(beseek) you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesu Christ, and in that we shall assemble unto him,

2. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാള് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുവെച്ചു നിങ്ങള് വല്ല ആത്മാവിനോലോ വചനത്താലോ ഞങ്ങള് എഴുതി എന്ന ഭാവത്തിലുള്ള ലേഖനത്താലോ സുബോധംവിട്ടു വേഗത്തില് ഇളകുകയും ഞെട്ടിപ്പോകയുമരുതു.

2. that ye be not suddenly moved from your mind, and be not troubled, neither by spirit, neither by words, nor yet by letter, which should seem to come from us, as though the day of Christ were at hand.

3. ആരും ഏതുവിധേനയും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; ആദ്യമേ വിശ്വാസത്യാഗം സംഭവിക്കയും നാശയോഗ്യനും അധര്മ്മമൂര്ത്തിയുമായവന് വെളിപ്പെടുകയും വേണം.

3. Let no man deceive you by any means, for the Lord cometh not, except there come a departing first, and that that sinful man(man of sin) be opened, the son of perdition

4. അവന് ദൈവാലയത്തില് ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം എന്നു നടിച്ചു, ദൈവം എന്നോ പൂജാവിഷയം എന്നോ പേരുള്ള സകലത്തിന്നും മീതെ തന്നെത്താന് ഉയര്ത്തുന്ന എതിരാളി അത്രേ.

4. which is an adversary, and is exalted above all that is called god, or that is worshipped:(called God or Gods service) so that he shall sit(sitteth as God) in the temple of god, and shew himself as(boasteth himself to be) god.(so that he shall sit as God in temple of god)

5. നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ ഞാന് ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഔര്ക്കുംന്നില്ലയോ?

5. Remember ye not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6. അവന് സമയത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ വെളിപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇപ്പോള് നടക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

6. And now ye know what withholdeth: even that he might be uttered at his time.

7. അധര്മ്മത്തിന്റെ മര്മ്മം ഇപ്പോഴേ വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടു; ഇതുവരെ തടുക്കുന്നവന് വഴിയില്നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപോക മാത്രം വേണം.

7. For already the mystery of iniquity worketh. Only he that holdeth, let him now hold, until it(hit) be taken out of the way,(For the mystery of that iniquity doeth he all ready work which only looketh, till he which now only letteth be taken out of the way)

8. അപ്പോള് അധര്മ്മമൂര്ത്തി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും; അവനെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു തന്റെ വായിലെ ശ്വാസത്താല് ഒടുക്കി തന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയുടെ പ്രഭാവത്താല് നശിപ്പിക്കും.

8. and then shall that wicked be uttered, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the appearance of his coming,

9. അധര്മ്മമൂര്ത്തിയുടെ പ്രത്യക്ഷത നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നവര്ക്കും സാത്താന്റെ വ്യാപാരശക്തിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം വ്യാജമായ സകലശക്തിയോടും അടയാളങ്ങളോടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളോടും അനീതിയുടെ സകല വഞ്ചനയോടും കൂടെ ആയിരിക്കും;

9. even him whose coming is by(after) the working of Satan, with all lying power, signs, and wonders:

10. അവര് രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം സത്യത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു കൈക്കൊള്ളായ്കയാല് തന്നേ അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കും.

10. and in all deceivableness of unrighteousness, among them that perish: because they received not the love of the truth,(trueth) that they might have been saved.

11. സത്യത്തെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ അനീതിയില് രസിക്കുന്ന ഏവര്ക്കും ന്യായവിധി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു

11. And therefore God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe lies:

12. ദൈവം അവര്ക്കും ഭോഷകു വിശ്വസിക്കുമാറു വ്യാജത്തിന്റെ വ്യാപാരശക്തി അയക്കുന്നു.

12. that all they might be damned which believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

13. ഞങ്ങളോ, കര്ത്താവിന്നു പ്രിയരായ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ ആദിമുതല് ആത്മാവിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധീകരണത്തിലും സത്യത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിലും രക്ഷെക്കായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തെ എപ്പോഴും സ്തുതിപ്പാന് കടമ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. (But) We are bound to give thanks alway to God for you brethren beloved of the Lord, for because that God hath from the beginning chosen you to health,(salvation) thorow sanctifying of the spirit; And thorow believing the truth:(trueth)

14. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മഹത്വം പ്രാപിപ്പാനല്ലോ അവന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്താല് നിങ്ങളെ രക്ഷെക്കു വിളിച്ചതു.

14. whereunto he called you by our gospel,(gospell) to obtain the glory that cometh of our Lord Jesu Christ.

15. ആകയാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് ഉറെച്ചുനിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് വാക്കിനാലോ ലേഖനത്താലോ ഉപദേശിച്ചുതന്ന പ്രമാണങ്ങളെ മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

15. Therefore brethren stand fast and keep the ordinations,(ordinances) which ye have learned: whether it were by our preaching, or by our pistel:(by epistle)

16. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുതാനും നമ്മെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു നിത്യാശ്വാസവും നല്ല പ്രത്യാശയും കൃപയാലെ നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവവും

16. Our Lord Jesu Christ himself, and God our father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation, and good hope thorow grace,

17. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു എല്ലാ നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുമാറാകട്ടെ.

17. comfort your hearts, and establish you in all saying,(doctrine) and good doing.
