1. ഒടുവില് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വചനം നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് എത്തിയതുപോലെ വേഗം വ്യാപിച്ചു മഹത്വപ്പെടുവാനും

1. Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you;

2. വല്ലാത്തവരും ദുഷ്ടരുമായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടാനും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; വിശ്വാസം എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

2. and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have faith.

3. കര്ത്താവോ വിശ്വസ്തന് ; അവന് നിങ്ങളെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടന്റെ കയ്യില് അകപ്പെടാതവണ്ണം കാത്തുകൊള്ളും.

3. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you, and guard you from the evil one.

4. We have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you both do and will do the things we command.

5. May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.

6. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങളോടു പ്രാപിച്ച പ്രമാണം വിട്ടു ക്രമംകെട്ടു നടക്കുന്ന ഏതു സഹോദരനോടും അകന്നുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു.

6. Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks in rebellion, and not after the tradition which they received from us.

7. ഞങ്ങള് അനുകരിക്കേണ്ടിയതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു നിങ്ങള് തന്നേ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ. ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ക്രമം കെട്ടു നടന്നിട്ടില്ല,

7. For you know how you ought to imitate us. For we didn't behave ourselves rebelliously among you,

8. ആരുടെയും ആഹാരം വെറുതെ അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല; നിങ്ങളില് ആര്ക്കും ഭാരമായിത്തീരരുതു എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞങ്ങള് അദ്ധ്വാനത്തോടും പ്രയാസത്തോടും കൂടെ രാപ്പകല് വേലചെയ്തു പോന്നതു

8. neither did we eat bread from anyone's hand without paying for it, but in labor and travail worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you;

9. അധികാരമില്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടല്ല, അനുകരിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഞങ്ങളെ മാതൃകയാക്കിത്തരേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ.

9. not because we don't have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you, that you should imitate us.

10. വേലചെയ്വാന് മനസ്സില്ലാത്തവന് തിന്നുകയുമരുതു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

10. For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.'

11. നിങ്ങളില് ചിലര് ഒട്ടും വേല ചെയ്യാതെ പരകാര്യം നോക്കി ക്രമംകെട്ടു നടക്കുന്നു എന്നു കേള്ക്കുന്നു.

11. For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies.

12. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരോടുസാവധാനത്തോടു വേല ചെയ്തു അഹോവൃത്തി കഴിക്കേണം എന്നു കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവില് ഞങ്ങള് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

12. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

13. നിങ്ങളോ, സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതില് തളര്ന്നു പോകരുതു.

13. But you , brothers, don't be weary in doing well.

14. ഈ ലേഖനത്തിലുള്ള ഞങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു അനുസരിക്കാത്തവന് നാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനോടുള്ള സംസര്ഗ്ഗം വിട്ടു അവനെ വേറുതിരിപ്പിന് .

14. If any man doesn't obey our word in this letter, note that man, that you have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.

15. എങ്കിലും ശത്രു എന്നു വിചാരിക്കാതെ സഹോദരന് എന്നുവെച്ചു അവനെ ബുദ്ധിയുപദേശിക്കയത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

15. Don't count him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

16. സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ കര്ത്താവായവന് താന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും സകലവിധത്തിലും സമാധാനം നലകുമാറാകട്ടെ; കര്ത്താവു നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

16. Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.

17. പൌലൊസായ എന്റെ കയ്യാല് വന്ദനം; സകല ലേഖനത്തിലും ഇതുതന്നേ അടയാളം; ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് എഴുതുന്നു.

17. The greeting of me, Paul, with my own hand, which is the sign in every letter: this is how I write.
