1. അന്ത്യകാലത്തു ദുര്ഘടസമയങ്ങള് വരും എന്നറിക.

1. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.

2. മനുഷ്യര് സ്വസ്നേഹികളും വമ്പു പറയുന്നവരും അഹങ്കാരികളും ദൂഷകന്മാരും അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവരും നന്ദികെട്ടവരും അശുദ്ധരും

2. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, arrogant, blasphemous, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, impious,

3. വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവരും ഇണങ്ങാത്തവരും ഏഷണിക്കാരും അജിതേന്ദ്രിയന്മാരും ഉഗ്രന്മാരും

3. devoid of natural affection, irreconcilable, slanderous, without self-control, savage, no lovers of good,

4. സല്ഗുണദ്വേഷികളും ദ്രോഹികളും ധാര്ഷ്ട്യക്കാരും നിഗളികളുമായി

4. traitors, reckless, beclouded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,

5. ദൈവപ്രീയമില്ലാതെ ഭോഗപ്രിയരായി ഭക്തിയുടെ വേഷം ധരിച്ചു അതിന്റെ ശക്തി ത്യജിക്കുന്നവരുമായിരിക്കും. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ വിട്ടൊഴിയുക.

5. having a form of piety, but repudiating the power of it. Now turn away from these men,

6. വീടുകളില് നൂണുകടക്കയും പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു നാനാ മോഹങ്ങള്ക്കും അധീനരായി എപ്പോഴും പഠിച്ചിട്ടും ഒരിക്കലും സത്യത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് കഴിയാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളെ സ്വാധീനമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര് ഈ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവര് ആകുന്നു;

6. for from these are those who creep into houses, and take captive petty women laden with sins, being led away by various impulses,

7. യന്നേസും യംബ്രേസും മോശെയോടു എതിര്ത്തുനിന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ ഇവരും സത്യത്തോടു മറുത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു; ദുര്ബ്ബുദ്ധികളും വിശ്വാസം സംബന്ധിച്ചുകൊള്ളരുതാത്തവരുമത്രേ.

7. ever learning and never able to come to knowledge of truth.

8. അവര് അധികം മുഴുക്കയില്ല; മേല്പറഞ്ഞവരുടെ ബുദ്ധികേടു എല്ലാവര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെട്ടതുപോലെ ഇവരുടെ ബുദ്ധികേടും വെളിപ്പെടും.

8. And by which way Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also do these oppose the truth. Men corrupted in mind, worthless about the faith.

9. But they will not advance in much more, for their folly will be evident to all men, as also that of those men came to be.

10. അന്ത്യൊക്യയിലും ഇക്കൊന്യയിലും ലൂസ്ത്രയിലും എനിക്കു സംഭവിച്ച ഉപദ്രവവും കഷ്ടാനുഭവവും കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എന്തെല്ലാം ഉപദ്രവം സഹിച്ചു; അതിലെല്ലാറ്റില് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവു എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

10. But thou have closely followed my doctrine, conduct, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,

11. എന്നാല് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ഭക്തിയോടെ ജീവിപ്പാന് മനസ്സുള്ളവര്ക്കും എല്ലാം ഉപദ്രവം ഉണ്ടാകും.

11. persecutions, sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra. I endured such persecutions, and the Lord rescued me out of them all.

12. ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യരും മായാവികളും വഞ്ചിച്ചും വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു മേലക്കുമേല് ദോഷത്തില് മുതിര്ന്നു വരും.

12. And also all those who want to live devoutly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

13. നീയോ ഇന്നവരോടു പഠിച്ചു എന്നു ഔര്ക്കുംകയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താല് നിന്നെ രക്ഷെക്കു ജ്ഞാനിയാക്കുവാന് മതിയായ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ ബാല്യംമുതല് അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു

13. But evil men and impostors will go forward to worse, leading astray and being led astray.

14. നീ പഠിച്ചും നിശ്ചയം പ്രാപിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നതില് നിലനില്ക്ക.

14. But continue thou in what thou learned and were convinced of, knowing from whom thou learned them.

15. എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തും ദൈവശ്വാസീയമാകയാല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മനുഷ്യന് സകല സല്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കും വക പ്രാപിച്ചു തികഞ്ഞവന് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു

15. And that from a babe thou have known the sacred writings, which are able to make thee wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

16. ഉപദേശത്തിന്നും ശാസനത്തിന്നും ഗുണീകരണത്തിന്നും നീതിയിലെ അഭ്യാസത്തിന്നും പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു.

16. Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for instruction, for reproof, for correction, for discipline in righteousness,
