1. അന്ത്യകാലത്തു ദുര്ഘടസമയങ്ങള് വരും എന്നറിക.

1. But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come.

2. മനുഷ്യര് സ്വസ്നേഹികളും വമ്പു പറയുന്നവരും അഹങ്കാരികളും ദൂഷകന്മാരും അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവരും നന്ദികെട്ടവരും അശുദ്ധരും

2. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3. വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവരും ഇണങ്ങാത്തവരും ഏഷണിക്കാരും അജിതേന്ദ്രിയന്മാരും ഉഗ്രന്മാരും

3. without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,

4. സല്ഗുണദ്വേഷികളും ദ്രോഹികളും ധാര്ഷ്ട്യക്കാരും നിഗളികളുമായി

4. traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;

5. ദൈവപ്രീയമില്ലാതെ ഭോഗപ്രിയരായി ഭക്തിയുടെ വേഷം ധരിച്ചു അതിന്റെ ശക്തി ത്യജിക്കുന്നവരുമായിരിക്കും. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ വിട്ടൊഴിയുക.

5. holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also.

6. വീടുകളില് നൂണുകടക്കയും പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു നാനാ മോഹങ്ങള്ക്കും അധീനരായി എപ്പോഴും പഠിച്ചിട്ടും ഒരിക്കലും സത്യത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് കഴിയാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളെ സ്വാധീനമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര് ഈ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവര് ആകുന്നു;

6. For of these are those who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

8. Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these also oppose the truth; men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.

10. But you did follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, steadfastness,

13. നീയോ ഇന്നവരോടു പഠിച്ചു എന്നു ഔര്ക്കുംകയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താല് നിന്നെ രക്ഷെക്കു ജ്ഞാനിയാക്കുവാന് മതിയായ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ ബാല്യംമുതല് അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു

13. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

14. നീ പഠിച്ചും നിശ്ചയം പ്രാപിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നതില് നിലനില്ക്ക.

14. But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.

15. എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തും ദൈവശ്വാസീയമാകയാല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മനുഷ്യന് സകല സല്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കും വക പ്രാപിച്ചു തികഞ്ഞവന് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു

15. From infancy, you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.

16. ഉപദേശത്തിന്നും ശാസനത്തിന്നും ഗുണീകരണത്തിന്നും നീതിയിലെ അഭ്യാസത്തിന്നും പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു.

16. Every writing inspired by God is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction which is in righteousness,
