1. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തെയും, ജീവികള്ക്കും മരിച്ചവര്ക്കും ന്യായവിസ്താരം നടത്തുവാനുള്ള ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെയും സാക്ഷിവെച്ചു അവന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയും രാജ്യവും ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്തു കല്പിക്കുന്നതു;

1. I solemnly charge [you] in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

2. വചനം പ്രസംഗിക്ക; സമയത്തിലും അസമയത്തിലും ഒരുങ്ങിനില്ക്ക; സകല ദീര്ഘക്ഷമയോടും ഉപദേശത്തോടുംകൂടെ ശാസിക്ക; തര്ജ്ജനം ചെയ്ക; പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്ക.

2. preach the word; be ready in season [and] out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.

3. അവര് പത്ഥ്യോപദേശം പൊറുക്കാതെ കര്ണ്ണരസമാകുമാറു സ്വന്ത മോഹങ്ങള്ക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരെ പെരുക്കുകയും

3. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but [wanting] to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,

4. സത്യത്തിന്നു ചെവികൊടുക്കാതെ കെട്ടുകഥ കേള്പ്പാന് തിരികയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കാലം വരും.

4. and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

5. നീയോ സകലത്തിലും നിര്മ്മദന് ആയിരിക്ക; കഷ്ടം സഹിക്ക; സുവിശേഷകന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിചെയ്ക; നിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷ നിറപടിയായി നിവര്ത്തിക്ക.

5. But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

6. ഞാനോ ഇപ്പോള്തന്നേ പാനീയയാഗമായി ഒഴിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; എന്റെ നിര്യാണകാലവും അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come.

7. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;

8. in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

9. Make every effort to come to me soon;

10. ദേമാസ് ഈ ലോകത്തെ സ്നേഹിച്ചിട്ടു എന്നെ വിട്ടു തെസ്സലൊനീക്കയിലേക്കു പോയി. ക്രേസ്കേസ് ഗലാതെക്കും തീതൊസ് ദല്മാത്യെക്കും പോയി;

10. for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica; Crescens [has gone] to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

11. ലൂക്കൊസ് മാത്രമേ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ളൂ; മക്കൊസ് എനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കായി ഉപയോഗമുള്ളവന് ആകയാല് അവനെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വരിക.

11. Only Luke is with me. Pick up Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.

13. When you come bring the cloak which I left at Troas with Carpus, and the books, especially the parchments.

21. ശീതകാലത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ വരുവാന് ശ്രമിക്ക. യൂബൂലൊസും പൂദെസും ലീനൊസും ക്ളൌദിയയും സഹോദരന്മാര് എല്ലാവരും നിനക്കു വന്ദനം ചൊല്ലുന്നു.

21. Make every effort to come before winter. Eubulus greets you, also Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brethren.
