1. സഹോദരപ്രീതി നിലനില്ക്കട്ടെ, അതിഥിസല്ക്കാരം മറക്കരുതു.

1. Let brotherly love continue.

2. അതിനാല് ചിലര് അറിയാതെ ദൈവദൂതന്മാരെ സല്കരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

2. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

3. Remember those who are in bonds as though you were bound with them, and thse who suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

4. Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

5. Let your manner of living be without covetousness, and be content with such things as ye have. For He hath said, 'I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee';

6. ആകയാല് “കര്ത്താവു എനിക്കു തുണ; ഞാന് പേടിക്കയില്ല; മനുഷ്യന് എന്നോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യും” എന്നു നമുക്കു ധൈര്യ്യത്തോടെ പറയാം.

6. so that we may boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.'

7. Remember those who have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the Word of God. Follow their faith, considering the outcome of their manner of living.

9. വിവിധവും അന്യവുമായ ഉപദേശങ്ങളാല് ആരും നിങ്ങളെ വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകരുതു; ആചരിച്ചുപോന്നവര്ക്കും പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്ത ഭോജനനിയമങ്ങളാലല്ല, കൃപയാല് തന്നേ ഹൃദയം ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

9. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace, not with meats which have not profited those who have been occupied therewith.

10. കൂടാരത്തില് ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അഹോവൃത്തി കഴിപ്പാന് അവകാശമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു യാഗപീഠം നമുക്കുണ്ടു.

10. We have an altar from which they have no right to eat, who serve the tabernacle.

11. മഹാപുരോഹിതന് പാപപരിഹാരമായി രക്തം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ ഉടല് പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയുന്നു.

11. For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp.

12. അങ്ങനെ യേശുവും സ്വന്തരക്തത്താല് ജനത്തെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നഗരവാതിലിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചു.

12. Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

13. ആകയാല് നാം അവന്റെ നിന്ദ ചുമന്നുകൊണ്ടു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുക.

16. നന്മചെയ്വാനും കൂട്ടായ്മ കാണിപ്പാനും മറക്കരുതു. ഈവക യാഗത്തിലല്ലോ ദൈവം പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നതു.

16. But to do good and to communicate forget not, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

17. നിങ്ങളെ നടത്തുന്നവരെ അനുസരിച്ചു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിപ്പിന് ; അവര് കണകൂ ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവരാകയാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാക്കള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ജാഗരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതു അവര് ഞരങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടല്ല സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ചെയ്വാന് ഇടവരുത്തുവിന് ; അല്ലാഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു നന്നല്ല.

17. Obey those who have the rule over you and submit yourselves, for they keep watch over your souls as ones who must give an account, that they may do it with joy and not with grief, for that is unprofitable for you.

18. Pray for us, for we trust we have a good conscience in all things, willing to live honestly.

19. എന്നെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേഗത്തില് വണ്ടും കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാന് വിശേഷാല് അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

19. But I beseech you the more earnestly to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

20. Now the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

21. make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

22. And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation, for I have written this letter unto you with few words.

23. സഹോദരനായ തിമോഥെയോസ് തടവില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി എന്നു അറിവിന് . അവന് വേഗത്തില് വന്നാല് ഞാന് അവനുമായി നിങ്ങളെ വന്നുകാണും.

23. Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty, with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

24. നിങ്ങളെ നടത്തുന്നവര്ക്കും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും വന്ദനം ചൊല്ലുവിന് . ഇതല്യക്കാര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വന്ദനം ചൊല്ലുന്നു.

24. Salute all those who have the rule over you, and all the saints. Those from Italy salute you.
