1. അവന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിപ്പാനുള്ള വാഗ്ദത്തം ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കയാല് നിങ്ങളില് ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും അതു ലഭിക്കാതെപോയി എന്നു വരാതിരിപ്പാന് നാം ഭയപ്പെടുക.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 95:11

1. Let us fear therefore lest any of us forsaking the promise of entering into his rest, should seem to come behind.

2. അവരെപ്പോലെ നാമും ഒരു സദ്വര്ത്തമാനം കേട്ടവര് ആകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും കേട്ടവരില് വിശ്വാസമായി പരിണമിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു കേട്ട വചനം അവര്ക്കും ഉപകാരമായി വന്നില്ല.

2. For unto us was it declared, as well as unto them. But it profited not(preaching helped not) them that they heard the word, because they which heard it coupled it not with faith.(believed it not)

3. വിശ്വസിച്ചവരായ നാമല്ലോ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു; ലോകസ്ഥാപനത്തിങ്കല് പ്രവൃത്തികള് തീര്ന്നുപോയശേഷവും“അവര് എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ കോപത്തില് സത്യം ചെയ്തു” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

3. (But) We which have believed, do enter into his rest, as contrary wise(contrariwise) he said to the other: as I have sworn in my wrath, they shall not enter into my rest. And that spake he verily long after that the works were made, from(and) the foundation of the world laid.(works from the beginning of the world were made)

4. ഏഴാം നാളില് ദൈവം തന്റെ സകല പ്രവൃത്തികളില്നിന്നു നിവൃത്തനായി” എന്നു ഏഴാം നാളിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരേടത്തു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day, on this wise: And God did rest(rested on) the seventh day from all his works.

5. “എന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് അവര് പ്രവേശിക്കയില്ല” എന്നു ഇവിടെ പിന്നെയും അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

5. And in this place again: They shall not come into my rest.

6. അതുകൊണ്ടു ചിലര് അതില് പ്രവേശിപ്പാന് ഇട ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കയാലും മുമ്പെ സദ്വര്ത്തമാനം കേട്ടവര് അനുസരണക്കേടുനിമിത്തം പ്രവേശിക്കാതെ പോകയാലും

6. Seeing therefore it followeth that some must enter thereinto, and they to whom it was first preached, entered not therein for unbelief's sake.

7. ഇത്ര കാലത്തിന്റെ ശേഷം ദാവീദ് മുഖാന്തരം“ഇന്നു അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കരുതു” എന്നു മുമ്പെ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ “ഇന്നു” എന്നൊരു ദിവസം പിന്നെയും നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്നു.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 95:7-8

7. Again he appointeth in David a certain present day after so long a time, saying as it is rehearsed: this day if ye hear his voice, be not hard hearted.

8. യോശുവ അവര്ക്കും സ്വസ്ഥത വരുത്തി എങ്കില് മറ്റൊരു ദിവസത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു പിന്നത്തേതില് കല്പിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു;
ആവർത്തനം 31:7, യോശുവ 22:4

8. For if Josue(Iosue) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

9. ആകയാല് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ബത്തനുഭവം ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. There remaineth therefore yet a rest to the people of God.

10. ദൈവം തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളില്നിന്നു എന്നപോലെ അവന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിച്ചവന് താനും തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളില്നിന്നു നിവൃത്തനായിത്തീര്ന്നു.
ഉല്പത്തി 2:2

10. For he that is entered into his rest doth cease from his own works, as God did from his.

11. അതുകൊണ്ടു ആരും അനുസരണക്കേടിന്റെ സമദൃഷ്ടാന്തത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം വീഴാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം ആ സ്വസ്ഥതയില് പ്രവേശിപ്പാന് ഉത്സാഹിക്ക.

11. Let us study(make haist) therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall(faule) into such an(after the same) ensample of(,into) unbelief:

12. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം ജീവനും ചൈതന്യവുമുള്ളതായി ഇരുവായ്ത്തലയുള്ള ഏതു വാളിനെക്കാളും മൂര്ച്ചയേറിയതും പ്രാണനെയും ആത്മാവിനെയും സന്ധിമജ്ജകളെയും വേറുവിടുവിക്കുംവരെ തുളെച്ചുചെല്ലുന്നതും ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ചിന്തനങ്ങളെയും ഭാവങ്ങളെയും വിവേചിക്കുന്നതും ആകുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 49:2

12. for the word of God is quick, and mighty in operation, and sharper than any two edged sword: and entereth through, even unto the dividing a sunder of the soul and the spirit and of the joints, and the mary: and judgeth the thoughts and the intents of the heart.

13. അവന്നു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സൃഷ്ടിയുമില്ല; സകലവും അവന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു നഗ്നവും മലര്ന്നതുമായി കിടക്കുന്നു; അവനുമായിട്ടാകുന്നു നമുക്കു കാര്യ്യമുള്ളതു.

13. Neither is there any creature invisible in the sight of it: but(.For) all things are naked and bare unto the eyes of him, of whom we speak.

14. ആകയാല് ദൈവപുത്രനായ യേശു ആകാശത്തില്കൂടി കടന്നുപോയോരു ശ്രേഷ്ഠമഹാപുരോഹിതനായി നമുക്കു ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു നാം നമ്മുടെ സ്വീകാരം മറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

14. Seeing then that we have a great high priest which is entered into heaven (I mean Jesus the son of God) let us keep(hold) our profession. (of our hope)

15. നമുക്കുള്ള മഹാപുരോഹിതന് നമ്മുടെ ബലഹീനതകളില് സഹതാപം കാണിപ്പാന് കഴിയാത്തവനല്ല; പാപം ഒഴികെ സര്വ്വത്തിലും നമുക്കു തുല്യമായി പരീക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനത്രേ നമുക്കുള്ളതു.

15. For we have not an high priest, which cannot have compassion on our infirmities: but was in all points tempted, in like manner:(as we are:) but yet without sin.

16. അതുകൊണ്ടു കരുണ ലഭിപ്പാനും തത്സമയത്തു സഹായത്തിന്നുള്ള കൃപ പ്രാപിപ്പാനുമായി നാം ധൈര്യ്യത്തോടെ കൃാപസനത്തിന്നു അടുത്തു ചെല്ലുക.

16. Let us therefore go boldly unto the seat of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
