1. നിങ്ങളിലുള്ള മൂപ്പന്മാരെ ഒരു കൂട്ടുമൂപ്പനും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കഷ്ടാനുഭവത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷിയും വെളിപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള തേജസ്സിന്നു കൂട്ടാളിയുമായ ഞാന് പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു

1. The ancients therefore that are among you, I beseech, who am myself also an ancient, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ: as also a partaker of that glory which is to be revealed in time to come:

3. Neither as lording it over the clergy, but being made a pattern of the flock from the heart.

9. Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world.

10. എന്നാല് അല്പകാലത്തേക്കു കഷ്ടം സഹിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളെ ക്രിസ്തുവില് തന്റെ നിത്യതേജസ്സിന്നായി വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സര്വ്വകൃപാലുവായ ദൈവം തന്നേ യഥാസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തി ഉറപ്പിച്ചു ശക്തീകരിക്കും.

10. But the God of all grace, who hath called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you.

13. The church that is in Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you: and so doth my son Mark.

14. സ്നേഹചുബനത്താല് തമ്മില് വന്ദനം ചെയ്വിന് . ക്രിസ്തുവിലുള്ള നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എല്ലാവര്ക്കും സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.
