1. സര്ദ്ദിസിലെ സഭയുടെ ദൂതന്നു എഴുതുക. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഏഴാത്മാവും ഏഴു നക്ഷത്രവും ഉള്ളവന് അരുളിച്ചെയുന്നതുഞാന് നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി അറിയുന്നു. ജീവനുള്ളവന് എന്നു നിനക്കു പേര് ഉണ്ടു എങ്കിലും നീ മരിച്ചവനാകുന്നു.

1. And wryte vnto the angell of the congregacion off Sardis: this sayth he that hath the seuen spretes of God, & the seuen starres. I knowe thy workes, thou hast a name that thou lyuest, and thou art deed.

2. ഉണര്ന്നുകൊള്ക; ചാവാറായ ശേഷിപ്പുകളെ ശക്തീകരിക്ക; ഞാന് നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് പൂര്ണ്ണതയുള്ളതായി കണ്ടില്ല.

2. Be awake, and strength the thinges which remayne, that are redy to dye. For I haue not founde thy workes perfecte before God.

3. ആകയാല് നീ പ്രാപിക്കയും കേള്ക്കയും ചെയ്തതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ഔര്ത്തു അതു കാത്തുകൊള്കയും മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്ക. നീ ഉണരാതിരുന്നാല് ഞാന് കള്ളനെപ്പോലെ വരും; ഏതു നാഴികെക്കു നിന്റെമേല് വരും എന്നു നീ അറികയും ഇല്ല.

3. Remember therfore how thou hast receaued and hearde, and holde fast, and repent. Yf thou shalt not watche, I wil come on the as a thefe, and thou shalt not knowe what houre I wil come vpon ye

4. എങ്കിലും ഉടുപ്പു മലിനമാകാത്ത കുറേ പേര് സര്ദ്ദിസില് നിനക്കുണ്ടു.

4. Thou hast a fewe names in Sardis, which haue not defyled their garmentes: and they shal walke with me in whyte, for they are worthy.

5. അവര് യോഗ്യന്മാരാകയാല് വെള്ളധരിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു എന്നോടുകൂടെ നടക്കും. ജയിക്കുന്നവന് വെള്ളയുടുപ്പു ധരിക്കും; അവന്റെ പേര് ഞാന് ജീവപുസ്തകത്തില്നിന്നു മാച്ചുകളയാതെ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിലും അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിലും അവന്റെ പേര് ഏറ്റുപറയും.

5. He that ouercommeth, shalbe clothed in whyte araye, and I wil not put out his name out of the boke of life, and I wil cofesse his name before my father, and before his angels.

6. ആത്മാവു സഭകളോടു പറയുന്നതു എന്തെന്നു ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.

6. Let him yt hath eares, heare, what the sprete sayth vnto the congregacions.

7. ഫിലദെല്ഫ്യയിലെ സഭയുടെ ദൂതന്നു എഴുതുകവിശുദ്ധനും സത്യവാനും ദാവീദിന്റെ താക്കോലുള്ളവനും ആയി ആരും അടെക്കാതവണ്ണം തുറക്കുകയും ആരും തുറക്കാതവണ്ണം അടെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു

7. And wryte vnto ye angell of the cogregacio of Philadelphia: this sayth he yt is holy and true, which hath the keye of Dauid: which openyth and noman shutteth, and shutteth and no man openeth.

8. ഞാന് നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി അറിയുന്നു. ഇതാ ഞാന് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഒരു വാതില് തുറന്നുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ആര്ക്കും അടെച്ചുകൂടാ. നിനക്കു അല്പമേ ശക്തിയുള്ളു എങ്കിലും നീ എന്റെ വചനം കാത്തു, എന്റെ നാമം നിഷേധിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

8. I knowe thy workes. Beholde, I haue set before the an open doore, and no man can shut it, for thou hast a lyttell strength and hast not denyed my name.

9. യെഹൂദരല്ലാതിരിക്കെ യെഹൂദരെന്നു കളവായി പറയുന്ന ചിലരെ ഞാന് സാത്താന്റെ പള്ളിയില് നിന്നു വരുത്തും; അവര് നിന്റെ കാല്ക്കല് വന്നു നമസ്കരിപ്പാനും ഞാന് നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു എന്നു അറിവാനും സംഗതി വരുത്തും.

9. Beholde, I shal geue some of the congregacion of Sathan, which call them selues Iewes and are not, but do lye: Beholde: I wil make them, that they shal come & worshippe before thy fete: and shal knowe that I haue loued the.

10. സഹിഷ്ണുതയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള എന്റെ വചനം നീ കാത്തുകൊണ്ടതിനാല് ഭൂമിയില് വസിക്കുന്നവരെ പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഭൂതലത്തില് എങ്ങും വരുവാനുള്ള പരീക്ഷാകാലത്തു ഞാനും നിന്നെ കാക്കും.

10. Because thou hast kept the wordes of my pacience, therfore wil I kepe the from the houre of temptacion, which will come vpon all the worlde, to tempte them that dwell vpo the earth.

11. ഞാന് വേഗം വരുന്നു; നിന്റെ കിരീടം ആരും എടുക്കാതിരിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിനക്കുള്ളതു പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

11. Beholde, I come shortly. Holde that which thou hast, that no ma take awaye thy crowne.

12. ജയിക്കുന്നവനെ ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തില് ഒരു തൂണാക്കും; അവന് ഒരിക്കലും അവിടെനിന്നു പോകയില്ല; എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമവും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു, സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു തന്നേ, ഇറങ്ങുന്ന പുതിയ യെരൂശലേം എന്ന എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന് നഗരത്തിന്റെ നാമവും എന്റെ പുതിയ നാമവും ഞാന് അവന്റെ മേല് എഴുതും.

12. Him that ouer commeth, will I make a pyllar in the temple of my God, and he shal goo no more out.And I will wryte vpon him, the name of my God, and the name of ye cite of my God, newe Ierusalem, which cometh downe out of heauen from my God, and I will wryte vpo him my newe name.

13. ആത്മാവു സഭകളോടു പറയുന്നതു എന്തെന്നു ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.

14. And vnto the angell of the cogregacion, which is in Laodicia wryte: This sayth Amen the faithfull and true witnes, the begynnynge of ye creatures of God.

15. ഞാന് നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി അറിയുന്നു; നീ ഉഷ്ണവാനുമല്ല; ശീതവാനുമല്ല; ശീതവാനോ ഉഷ്ണവാനോ ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

15. I knowe thy workes, yt thou art nether colde nor hot: I wolde thou were colde or hote.

16. ഇങ്ങനെ ശീതവാനുമല്ല ഉഷ്ണവാനുമല്ല, ശിതോഷ്ണവാനാകയാല് നിന്നെ എന്റെ വായില് നിന്നു ഉമിണ്ണുകളയും.

16. So then because thou art bitwene bothe, and nether colde ner hote I wyll spew the out off my mouth:

17. ഞാന് ധനവാന് ; സമ്പന്നനായിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു ഒന്നിനും മുട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നീ നിര്ഭാഗ്യനും അരിഷ്ടനും ദരിദ്രനും കുരുടനും നഗ്നനും എന്നു അറിയാതിരിക്കയാല്

17. because thou saist thou art riche and incresyd with goodes and hast nede of nothinge, and knowest not how thou art wretched & miserable, poore, blynde, and nakyd.

18. നീ സമ്പന്നന് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു തീയില് ഊതിക്കഴിച്ച പൊന്നും നിന്റെ നഗ്നതയുടെ ലജ്ജ വെളിവാകാതവണ്ണം ധരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വെള്ളയുടുപ്പും നിനക്കു കാഴ്ച ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കണ്ണില് എഴുതുവാന് ലേപവും എന്നോടു വിലെക്കുവാങ്ങുവാന് ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ബുദ്ധിപറയുന്നു.

18. I counsell the to bye of me golde tryed in the fyre, that thou mayste be riche: and whyte rayment, that thou mayste be clothed, that thy fylthy nakednes do not apere: anoynt thine eyes with eye salue, yt thou mayste se.

19. എനിക്കു പ്രിയമുള്ളവരെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് ശാസിക്കയും ശിക്ഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ആകയാല് നീ ജാഗ്രതയുള്ളവനായിരിക്ക; മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുക.

19. As many as I loue, I rebuke & chasten. Be feruent therfore and repent.

20. ഞാന് വാതില്ക്കല് നിന്നു മുട്ടുന്നു; ആരെങ്കിലും എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു വാതില് തുറന്നാല് ഞാന് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവനോടും അവന് എന്നോടും കൂടെ അത്താഴം കഴിക്കും.

20. Beholde, I stonde at the doore & knocke. Yf eny man heare my voyce and vpen the dore, I wil come in vnto him and will suppe with him, & he with me.

21. ജയിക്കുന്നവന്നു ഞാന് എന്നോടുകൂടെ എന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിപ്പാന് വരം നലകും; ഞാനും ജയിച്ചു എന്റെ പിതാവിനോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

21. To him that ouercomth, will I graute to sytt with me on my seate, eue as I ouercam and haue sytte with my father on his seate.

22. ആത്മാവു സഭകളോടു പറയുന്നതു എന്തെന്നു ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.
