1. സര്ദ്ദിസിലെ സഭയുടെ ദൂതന്നു എഴുതുക. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഏഴാത്മാവും ഏഴു നക്ഷത്രവും ഉള്ളവന് അരുളിച്ചെയുന്നതുഞാന് നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി അറിയുന്നു. ജീവനുള്ളവന് എന്നു നിനക്കു പേര് ഉണ്ടു എങ്കിലും നീ മരിച്ചവനാകുന്നു.

1. And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, 'These things says He that has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: 'I know your works, that you have a name, that you live, and you are dead.

2. ഉണര്ന്നുകൊള്ക; ചാവാറായ ശേഷിപ്പുകളെ ശക്തീകരിക്ക; ഞാന് നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് പൂര്ണ്ണതയുള്ളതായി കണ്ടില്ല.

2. Be watchful, and keep that which remains, which you were about to cast out, for I have not found your works perfect before My God.

3. ആകയാല് നീ പ്രാപിക്കയും കേള്ക്കയും ചെയ്തതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ഔര്ത്തു അതു കാത്തുകൊള്കയും മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്ക. നീ ഉണരാതിരുന്നാല് ഞാന് കള്ളനെപ്പോലെ വരും; ഏതു നാഴികെക്കു നിന്റെമേല് വരും എന്നു നീ അറികയും ഇല്ല.

3. Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and by no means shall you know what hour I will come upon you.

4. എങ്കിലും ഉടുപ്പു മലിനമാകാത്ത കുറേ പേര് സര്ദ്ദിസില് നിനക്കുണ്ടു.

4. You have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.

5. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and by no means shall I erase his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

10. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of testing which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those that dwell upon the earth.

18. I counsel you to buy from Me gold having been tried by fire, so that you may become rich; and white robes, so that you may be clothed, and the shame of your nakedness may not appear; and eye salve, so that you may anoint your eyes, in order that you may see.

21. He that overcomes, I will grant to him to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
