1. ദൈവം നോഹയെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തന്നാല്നിങ്ങള് സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരായി പെരുകി ഭൂമിയില് നിറവിന് .

1. And God blessed Noah and his sons and said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

2. നിങ്ങളെയുള്ള പേടിയും നടുക്കവും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ആകാശത്തിലെ എല്ലാ പറവകള്ക്കും സകല ഭൂചരങ്ങള്ക്കും സുമദ്രത്തിലെ സകലമത്സ്യങ്ങള്ക്കും ഉണ്ടാകും; അവയെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every animal of the earth and upon every fowl of the heavens, upon all that moves [upon] the earth and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand they are delivered.

3. ഭൂചരജന്തുക്കളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആഹാരം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ; പച്ച സസ്യംപോലെ ഞാന് സകലവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; even as the green grass I have given you all things.

4. പ്രാണനായിരിക്കുന്ന രക്തത്തോടുകൂടെ മാത്രം നിങ്ങള് മാംസം തിന്നരുതു.

4. But flesh with the soul ([or life]) thereof, [which is] its blood, ye shall not eat.

5. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണാനായിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്തത്തിന്നു ഞാന് പകരം ചോദിക്കും; സകലമൃഗത്തോടും മനുഷ്യനോടും ചോദിക്കും; അവനവന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും ഞാന് മനുഷ്യന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു പകരം ചോദിക്കും.

5. For surely your blood [which is] your souls I will require; at the hand of every animal I will require it and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother I will require the soul ([or life]) of man.

6. ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യന്റെ രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചാല് അവന്റെ രക്തം മനുഷ്യന് ചൊരിയിക്കും; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സ്വരൂപത്തിലല്ലോ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതു.

6. Whoever sheds man's blood in man, his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God is man made.

7. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരായി പെരുകുവിന് ; ഭൂമിയില് അനവധിയായി പെറ്റു പെരുകുവിന് .

7. And you, be ye fruitful and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply therein.

8. ദൈവം പിന്നെയും നോഹയോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

8. And God spoke unto Noah and to his sons with him, saying,

9. ഞാന് , ഇതാ, നിങ്ങളോടും നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതിയോടും

9. Behold that I establish my covenant with you and with your seed after you

10. ഭൂമിയില് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ള പക്ഷികളും കന്നുകാലികളും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളുമായ സകല ജീവജന്തുക്കളോടും പെട്ടകത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട സകലവുമായി ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങളോടും ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. and with every living soul that [is] with you, of the fowl, of the animals, and of every beast of the earth with you, from all that go out of the ark to every animal of the earth,

11. ഇനി സകലജഡവും ജലപ്രളയത്താല് നശിക്കയില്ല; ഭൂമിയെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് ഇനി ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

11. that I will establish my covenant with you, that all flesh shall not be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

12. പിന്നെയും ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഞാനും നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഉള്ള സകലജീവജന്തുക്കളും തമ്മില് തലമുറതലമുറയോളം സദാകാലത്തേക്കും ചെയ്യുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്റെ അടയാളം ആവിതു

12. And God said, This [is] the sign of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living soul that [is] with you, for perpetual ages:

13. ഞാന് എന്റെ വില്ലു മേഘത്തില് വെക്കുന്നു; അതു ഞാനും ഭൂമിയും തമ്മിലുള്ള നിയമത്തിന്നു അടയാളമായിരിക്കും.

13. I set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.

14. ഞാന് ഭൂമിയുടെ മീതെ മേഘം വരുത്തുമ്പോള് മേഘത്തില് വില്ലു കാണും.

14. And it shall come to pass when I bring clouds over the earth, that the bow shall appear in the clouds;

15. അപ്പോള് ഞാനും നിങ്ങളും സര്വ്വജഡവുമായ സകലജീവജന്തുക്കളും തമ്മിലുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കും; ഇനി സകല ജഡത്തെയും നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് വെള്ളം ഒരു പ്രളയമായി തീരുകയുമില്ല.

15. and I will remember my covenant, which [is] between me and you and every living soul of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16. വില്ലു മേഘത്തില് ഉണ്ടാകും; ദൈവവും ഭൂമിയിലെ സര്വ്വ ജഡവുമായ സകല ജീവികളും തമ്മില് എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള നിയമം ഔര്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അതിനെ നോക്കും.

16. And the bow shall be in the clouds, and I will look upon it that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living soul of all flesh that [is] upon the earth.

17. ഞാന് ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സര്വ്വ ജഡത്തോടും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്നു ഇതു അടയാളം എന്നും ദൈവം നോഹയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

17. And God said unto Noah, This [shall be] the sign of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that [is] upon the earth.

18. പെട്ടകത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടവരായ നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര് ശേമും ഹാമും യാഫെത്തും ആയിരുന്നു; ഹാം എന്നവനോ കനാന്റെ പിതാവു.

18. And the sons of Noah, that went forth from the ark, were Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and Ham [is] the father of Canaan.

19. ഇവര് മൂവരും നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര്; അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂമി ഒക്കെയും നിറഞ്ഞു.

19. These [are] the three sons of Noah; and of them was the whole earth overspread.

20. നോഹ കൃഷിചെയ്വാന് തുടങ്ങി; ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി.

20. And Noah began to till the ground, and he planted a vineyard;

21. അവന് അതിലെ വീഞ്ഞുകുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചു തന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് വസ്ത്രം നീങ്ങി കിടന്നു.

21. and he drank of the wine and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

22. കനാന്റെ പിതാവായ ഹാം പിതാവിന്റെ നഗ്നത കണ്ടു വെളിയില് ചെന്നു തന്റെ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരെയും അറിയിച്ചു.

22. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brethren outside.

23. ശേമും യാഫെത്തും ഒരു വസ്ത്രം എടുത്തു, ഇരുവരുടെയും തോളില് ഇട്ടു വിമുഖരായി ചെന്നു പിതാവിന്റെ നഗ്നത മറെച്ചു; അവരുടെ മുഖം തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് പിതാവിന്റെ നഗ്നത കണ്ടില്ല.

23. Then Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid [it] upon both their shoulders and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces [were] backward, and they did not see their father's nakedness.

24. നോഹ ലഹരിവിട്ടുണര്ന്നപ്പോള് തന്റെ ഇളയ മകന് ചെയ്തതു അറിഞ്ഞു.

24. And Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25. അപ്പോള് അവന് കനാന് ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് ; അവന് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും അധമദാസനായ്തീരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. And he said, Cursed [be] Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26. ശേമിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് ; കനാന് അവരുടെ ദാസനാകും.

26. And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27. ദൈവം യാഫെത്തിനെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ; അവന് ശേമിന്റെ കൂടാരങ്ങളില് വസിക്കും; കനാന് അവരുടെ ദാസനാകും എന്നും അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

27. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28. ജലപ്രളയത്തിന്റെ ശേഷം നോഹ മുന്നൂറ്റമ്പതു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു.

28. And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

29. നോഹയുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തമ്പതു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് മരിച്ചു.

29. And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died.:
