1. പിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം സീയോന് എന്ന ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില് നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതിന്നു ശലോമോന് യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരെയും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ സകല ഗോത്രപ്രധാനികളെയും യെരൂശലേമില് ശലോമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

1. Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH out of the city of David, which is Zion.

2. യിസ്രായേല്പുരുഷന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും ഏഴാംമാസമായ ഏഥാനീംമാസത്തിലെ ഉത്സവത്തില് ശലോമോന് രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുകൂടി.

2. And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

3. യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാര് ഒക്കെയും വന്നപ്പോള് പുരോഹിതന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം എടുത്തു.

3. And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.

4. അവര് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകവും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരവും കൂടാരത്തിലെ വിശുദ്ധഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരുമത്രേ അവയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു.

4. And they brought up the ark of YHWH, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.

5. ശലോമോന് രാജാവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുകൂടിയ യിസ്രായേല്സഭ ഒക്കെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മുമ്പില് എണ്ണവും കണക്കുമില്ലാതെ അനവധി ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും യാഗംകഴിച്ചു.

5. And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

6. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു, ആലയത്തിലെ അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തു, കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകിന് കീഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു വെച്ചു.

6. And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of YHWH unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.

7. കെരൂബുകള് പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മീതെ ചിറകു വിരിച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തെയും അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകളെയും മൂടിനിന്നു.

7. For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

8. തണ്ടുകള് നീണ്ടിരിക്കയാല് തണ്ടുകളുടെ അറങ്ങള് അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് നിന്നു കാണും; എങ്കിലും പുറത്തുനിന്നു കാണുകയില്ല; അവഇന്നുവരെയും അവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

8. And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.

9. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ അവരോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തപ്പോള് മോശെ ഹോരേബില് വെച്ചു അതില് വെച്ചിരുന്ന രണ്ടു കല്പലകയല്ലാതെ പെട്ടകത്തില് മറ്റൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല;

9. There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when YHWH made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

10. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള് മേഘം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞു.

10. And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of YHWH,

11. യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മേഘംനിമിത്തം ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നില്പാന് പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

11. So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of YHWH had filled the house of YHWH.

12. അപ്പോള് ശലോമോന് താന് കൂരിരുളില് വസിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

12. Then spake Solomon, YHWH said that he would dwell in thick darkness.

13. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഒരു നിവാസാലയം, നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും വസിപ്പാന് ഒരു സ്ഥലം, പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13. I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.

14. പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേല്സഭ മുഴുവനും നിന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ രാജാവു മുഖം തിരിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സര്വ്വസഭയെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

14. And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)

15. എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് .

15. And he said, Blessed be YHWH Elohim of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

16. എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാള്മുതല് എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാന് ഞാന് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും ഒരു പട്ടണം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ല; എന്നാല് എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് ദാവീദിനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു എന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

16. Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

17. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണം എന്നു എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

17. And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of YHWH Elohim of Israel.

18. എന്നാല് യഹോവ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടുഎന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണമെന്നു നിനക്കു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായല്ലോ; അങ്ങനെ താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായതു നല്ലതു.

18. And YHWH said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.

19. എങ്കിലും ആലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല, നിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നുത്ഭവിക്കുന്ന മകന് തന്നേ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ആലയം പണിയും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

19. Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.

20. അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ താന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം ഞാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയവും പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. And YHWH hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as YHWH promised, and have built an house for the name of YHWH Elohim of Israel.

21. യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നപ്പോള്, അവരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഇരിക്കുന്ന പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു ഞാന് അതില് ഒരു സ്ഥലം ഒരിക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of YHWH, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

22. അനന്തരം ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന് മുമ്പില് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു കൈ മലര്ത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

22. And Solomon stood before the altar of YHWH in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:

23. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്ക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്ന നിന്നെപ്പോലെ മീതെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലും യാതൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

23. And he said, YHWH Elohim of Israel, there is no Elohim like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

24. നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇന്നു കാണുംപോലെ തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിര്വത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

25. ആകയാല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടുനീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷന് എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെവരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണമേ.

25. Therefore now, YHWH Elohim of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

26. ഇപ്പോള് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഒത്തുവരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

26. And now, O Elohim of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.

27. എന്നാല് ദൈവം യഥാര്ത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയില് വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗാധിസ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാന് പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തില് അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

27. But will Elohim indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

28. എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയന് ഇന്നു തിരുമുമ്പില് കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളയും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

28. Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O YHWH my Elohim, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:

29. അടിയന് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു രാവും പകലും തൃക്കണ്പാര്ത്തരുളേണമേ,

29. That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

30. ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചന കേള്ക്കേണമേ. നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേള്ക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

30. And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.

31. ഒരുത്തന് തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയും അവന് അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാര്യം സത്യത്തിന്നു വെക്കുകയും അവന് ഈ ആലയത്തില് നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്താല്

31. If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:

32. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ തലമേല് വരുത്തി അവനെ ശിക്ഷിപ്പാനും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്നു നല്കി അവനെ നീതീകരിപ്പാനും അടിയങ്ങള്ക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

32. Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

33. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയകനിമിത്തം അവര് ശത്രുവിനോടു തോറ്റിട്ടു നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഈ ആലയത്തില്വെച്ചു നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്്ത്ഥിക്കയും യാചിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

33. When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:

34. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ മടക്കിവരുത്തേണമേ.

34. Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.

35. അവര് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ആകാശം അടഞ്ഞു മഴപെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവര് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിക്കയും നീ അവരെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതരികയും ചെയ്താല്

35. When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:

36. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു, അ:വര് നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന നല്ല വഴി അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

36. Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.

37. ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമമോ മഹാമാരിയോ വെണ്കതിര്, വിഷമഞ്ഞു, വെട്ടുക്കിളി, തുള്ളന് എന്നിവയോ ഉണ്ടായാല് അവരുടെ ശത്രു അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുള്ള ദേശത്തു അവരെ നിരോധിച്ചാല് വല്ല വ്യാധിയോ വല്ല ദീനമോ ഉണ്ടായാല് യാതൊരുത്തനെങ്കിലും

37. If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;

38. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് മുഴുവനെങ്കിലും വല്ല പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കഴിക്കയും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ മന:പീഡ അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ ആലയത്തിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലര്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്താല്

38. What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

39. നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കയും

39. Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)

40. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും നീ കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവര് ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും കാലത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ഔരാരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പുപോലെയൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തരുളേണമേ; നീ മാത്രമല്ലോ സകലമനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെയും ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതു.

40. That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

41. അത്രയുമല്ല, നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിലുള്ളവനല്ലാത്ത ഒരു അന്യജാതിക്കാരന് ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം ഹേതുവായി വരികയും --

41. Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy names sake;

42. അവര് നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമത്തെയും ബലമുള്ള ഭുജത്തെയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന കയ്യെയും കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുമല്ലാ-- ഈ ആലയത്തിങങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

42. (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;)when he shall come and pray toward this house;

43. നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കേട്ടു, ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേല് എന്ന പോലെ നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാനും ഞാന് പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അറിവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം അന്യജാതിക്കാരന് നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നീ ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

43. Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.

44. നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ അയയക്കുന്ന വഴിയില് അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുവിനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്വാന് പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള് നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത നഗരത്തിലേക്കും നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഞാന് പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചാല്

44. If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto YHWH toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:

45. നീ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് അവരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കേട്ടു അവര്ക്കും ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

45. Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

46. അവര് നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കയും--പാപം ചെയ്യാത്ത മനുഷ്യന് ഇല്ലല്ലോ--നീ അവരോടു കോപിച്ചു അവരെ ശത്രുവിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കയും അവര് അവരെ ദൂരത്തോ സമീപത്തോ ഉള്ള ശത്രുവിന്റെ ദേശത്തേക്കു ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്താല്

46. If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,)and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

47. അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവര് ഉണര്ന്നു മനംതിരിഞ്ഞു, അവരെ ബദ്ധരായി കൊണ്ടുപോയ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചുഞങ്ങള് പാപം ചെയ്തു അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

47. Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

48. നിന്നോടു യാചിക്കയും അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവര് പൂര്ണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂര്ണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു, നീ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു, നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത നഗരത്തിങ്കലേക്കും ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിങ്കലേക്കും നോക്കി നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

48. And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:

49. നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് അവരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കേട്ടു അവര്ക്കും ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു,

49. Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,

50. നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്ത നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു, അവര് നിന്നോടു ചെയ്ത ദ്രോഹങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ക്ഷമിക്കയും അവരെ ബദ്ധന്മാരായി കൊണ്ടുപോയവര്ക്കും അവരോടു കരുണതോന്നത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവര്ക്കും അവരോടു കരുണ ലഭിക്കുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

50. And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

51. അവര് മിസ്രയീം എന്ന ഇരുമ്പുലയുടെ നടുവില്നിന്നു നീ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ ജനവും നിന്റെ അവകാശവും ആകുന്നുവല്ലോ.

51. For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:

52. അവര് നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് ഒക്കെയും നീ കേള്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ യാചനയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ യാചനയും തൃക്കണ് പാര്ത്തരുളേണമേ.

52. That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.

53. കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീമില് നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നപ്പോള് നിന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളില്നിന്നും നീ അവരെ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി വേറുതിരിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

53. For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Sovereign YHWH.

54. ശലോമോന് യഹോവയോടു ഈ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയും യാചനയും എല്ലാം കഴിച്ചുതീര്ന്നശേഷം അവന് യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തില് മുമ്പില് മുഴങ്കാല് കുത്തിയിരുന്നതും കൈ ആകാശത്തേക്കു മലര്ത്തിയിരുന്നതും വിട്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

54. And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto YHWH, he arose from before the altar of YHWH, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

55. അവന് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേല്സഭയെ ഒക്കെയും ഉച്ചത്തില് ആശീര്വ്വദിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്

55. And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

56. താന് വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന് ; അവന് തന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത അവന്റെ നല്ല വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളെല്ലാറ്റിലും വെച്ചു ഒന്നെങ്കിലും നിഷ്ഫലമായിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.

56. Blessed be YHWH, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

57. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ഇരുന്നതുപോലെ നമ്മോടുകൂടെയും ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ അവന് നമ്മെ കൈവിടുകയോ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതെ.

57. YHWH our Elohim be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

58. നാം അവന്റെ എല്ലാവഴികളിലും നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അവന് നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു കല്പിച്ച അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ തങ്കലേക്കു ചായുമാറാക്കട്ടെ.

58. That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.

59. യഹോവ തന്നെ ദൈവം; മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമില്ല എന്നു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകല ജാതികളും അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു

59. And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before YHWH, be nigh unto YHWH our Elohim day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:

60. അവന് തന്റെ ദാസന്നും തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നും അന്നന്നു ആവശ്യമുള്ളതുപോലെ ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ആപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ഈ വചനങ്ങള് രാവും പകലും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധാനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

60. That all the people of the earth may know that YHWH is Elohim, and that there is none else.

61. ആകയാല് ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങള് അനുസരിച്ചുനടപ്പാനും അവന്റെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിങ്കല് ഏകാഗ്രമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

61. Let your heart therefore be perfect with YHWH our Elohim, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

62. പിന്നെ രാജാവും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

62. And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before YHWH.

63. ശലോമോന് യഹോവേക്കു ഇരുപത്തീരായിരം കാളയെയും ലക്ഷത്തിരുപതിനായിരം ആടിനെയും സമാധാനയാഗമായിട്ടു അര്പ്പിച്ചു. ഇങ്ങനെ രാജാവും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളൊക്കെയും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

63. And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto YHWH, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of YHWH.

64. യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന താമ്ര യാഗപീഠം ഹോമയാഗം, ഭോജനയാഗം, സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സ് എന്നിവ കൊള്ളുന്നതിന്നു പോരാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു രാജാവു അന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യഭാഗം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു അവിടെ ഹോമയാഗവും ഭോജനയാഗവും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സും അര്പ്പിച്ചു.

64. The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of YHWH: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before YHWH was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

65. ശലോമോനും അവനോടുകൂടെ ഹമാത്തിന്റെ അതിര്മുതല് മിസ്രയീംതോടുവരെയുള്ള എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലും വലിയൊരു സഭയായി ആ സമയത്തു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ഏഴു ദിവസവും പിന്നെയും ഏഴു ദിവസവും ഇങ്ങനെ പതിന്നാലും ദിവസം ഉത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു.

65. And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before YHWH our Elohim, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.

66. എട്ടാംദിവസം അവന് ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയച്ചു; അവര് രാജാവിനെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു, യഹോവ തന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്നു, തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നും ചെയ്ത എല്ലാനന്മയെയും കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷവും ആനന്ദവുമുള്ളവരായി തങ്ങളുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിലേക്കു പോയി.

66. On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that YHWH had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
