1. ഇങ്ങനെ ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത പണിയൊക്കെയും തീര്ന്നു; പിന്നെ ശലോമോന് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് നിവേദിച്ചിരുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളായ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും ഉപകരണങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങളില് വെച്ചു.

1. Then Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had vowed, the silver, and the gold, and all the vessels he put among the treasures of the house of God.

2. ശലോമോന് യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം സീയോന് എന്ന ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരെയും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരായ ഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമില് കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

2. And after this he gathered together the ancients of Israel, and all the princes of the tribes, and the heads of the families, of the children of Israel to Jerusalem, to bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Sion.

3. യിസ്രായേല്പുരുഷന്മാരെല്ലാവരും ഏഴാം മാസത്തിലെ ഉത്സവത്തില് രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുകൂടി.

3. And all the men of Israel came to the king in the solemn day of the seventh month.

4. യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരെല്ലാവരും വന്നശേഷം ലേവ്യര് പെട്ടകം എടുത്തു.

4. And when all the ancients of Israel were come, the Levites took up the ark,

5. പെട്ടകവും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരവും കൂടാരത്തിലെ സകലവിശുദ്ധോപകരണങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരുമത്രേ അവ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു.

5. And brought it in, together with all the furniture of the tabernacle. And the priests with the Levites carried the vessels of the sanctuary, which were in the tabernacle.

6. ശലോമോന് രാജാവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൂടിവന്നിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേല്സഭയൊക്കെയും എണ്ണുവാനും കണക്കെടുപ്പാനും കഴിയാതവണ്ണം വളരെ ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മുമ്പില് യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

6. And king Solomon and all the assembly of Israel, and all that were gathered together before the ark, sacrificed rams, and oxen without number: so great was the multitude of the victims.

7. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു, ആലയത്തിലെ അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തില് അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകിന് കീഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു വെച്ചു.

7. And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord into its place, that is, to the oracle of the temple, into the holy of holies under the wings of the cherubims:

8. കെരൂബുകള് പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മീതെ ചിറകുവിരിച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തെയും അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകളെയും മൂടിനിന്നു,

8. So that the cherubims spread their wings over the place, in which the ark was set, and covered the ark itself and its staves.

9. തണ്ടുകള് നീണ്ടിരിക്കയാല് തണ്ടുകളുടെ അറ്റങ്ങള് അന്തര്മ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു മുമ്പില് പെട്ടകത്തെ കവിഞ്ഞു കാണും എങ്കിലും പുറത്തുനിന്നു കാണുകയില്ല; അവ ഇന്നുവരെ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടു.

9. Now the ends of the staves wherewith the ark was carried, because they were some thing longer, were seen before the oracle: but if a man were a little outward, he could not see them. So the ark has been there unto this day.

10. യിസ്രായേല് മക്കള് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ അവരോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തപ്പോള് മോശെ ഹോരേബില്വെച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തില് വെച്ചിരുന്ന രണ്ടു കല്പലകയല്ലാതെ അതില് മറ്റൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

10. And there was nothing else in the ark but the two tables which Moses put there at Horeb when the Lord gave the law to the children of Israel, at their coming out of Egypt.

11. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു വന്നപ്പോള്--അവിടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാര് ക്കുറുകളുടെ ക്രമം നോക്കാതെ എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു;

11. Now when the priests were come out of the sanctuary, (for all the priests that could be found there, mere sanctified: and as yet at that time the courses and orders of the ministries were not divided among them,)

12. ആസാഫ്, ഹേമാന് , യെദൂഥൂന് എന്നിവരും അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരുമായി സംഗീതക്കാരായ ലേവ്യരെല്ലാവരും ചണവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു കൈത്താളങ്ങളും വീണകളും കിന്നരങ്ങളും പിടിച്ചു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു കിഴക്കു കാഹളം ഊതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന നൂറ്റിരുപതു പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നു--

12. Both the Levites and the singing men, that is, both they that were under Asaph, and they that were under Heman, and they that were under Idithun, with their sons, and their brethren, clothed with fine linen, sounded with cymbals, and psalteries, and harps, standing on the east side of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests, sounding with trumpets.

13. കാഹളക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചു കാഹളങ്ങളോടും കൈത്താളങ്ങളോടും വാദിത്രങ്ങളോടും കൂടെഅവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു എന്നു ഏകസ്വരമായി കേള്ക്കുമാറു യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിച്ചു; അവര് ഉച്ചത്തില് പാടി യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചപ്പോള് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തില് ഒരു മേഘം നിറഞ്ഞു.

13. So when they all sounded together, both with trumpets, and voice, and cymbals, and organs, and with divers kind of musical instruments, and lifted up their voice on high: the sound was heard afar off, so that when they began to praise the Lord, and to say: Give glory to the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever: the house of God was filled with a cloud.

14. യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് ദൈവാലയത്തില് നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും മേഘം നിമിത്തം ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നില്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

14. Nor could the priests stand and minister by reason of the cloud. For the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
