1. അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Then Job answered,

2. നീ ശക്തിയില്ലാത്തവന്നു എന്തു സഹായം ചെയ്തു? ബലമില്ലാത്ത ഭുജത്തെ എങ്ങനെ താങ്ങി?

2. 'What a help you are to the weak! How you have saved the arm that has no strength!

3. ജ്ഞാനമില്ലാത്തവന്നു എന്താലോചന പറഞ്ഞു കൊടുത്തു? ജ്ഞാനം എത്ര ധാരാളം ഉപദേശിച്ചു?

3. How you have given wise words to him who has no wisdom! How much true learning you have given!

4. ആരെയാകുന്നു നീ വാക്യം കേള്പ്പിച്ചതു? ആരുടെ ശ്വാസം നിന്നില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു;

4. To whom have your words been said? And from whose spirit have you spoken?

5. വെള്ളത്തിന്നും അതിലെ നിവാസികള്ക്കും കീഴെ പ്രേതങ്ങള് നൊന്തു നടുങ്ങുന്നു.

5. 'The spirits of the dead shake under the waters and those living in them.

6. പാതാളം അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് തുറന്നുകിടക്കുന്നു; നരകം മറയില്ലാതെയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. The place of the dead has no covering before God and the place that destroys has no covering.

7. ഉത്തരദിക്കിനെ അവന് ശൂന്യത്തിന്മേല് വിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിയെ നാസ്തിത്വത്തിന്മേല് തൂക്കുന്നു.

7. He spreads out the north over empty waste, and hangs the earth on nothing.

8. അവന് വെള്ളത്തെ മേഘങ്ങളില് കെട്ടിവെക്കുന്നു; അതു വഹിച്ചിട്ടു കാര്മുകില് കീറിപ്പോകുന്നതുമില്ല.

8. He holds the waters in His clouds, and the cloud does not break under them.

9. തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ ദര്ശനം അവന് മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു; അതിന്മേല് തന്റെ മേഘം വിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. He covers the face of the moon and spreads His cloud over it.

10. അവന് വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെയും ഇരുട്ടിന്റെയും അറ്റത്തോളം വെള്ളത്തിന്മേല് ഒരു അതിര് വരെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. He has marked the sides around the waters where light and darkness are divided.

11. ആകാശത്തിന്റെ തൂണുകള് കുലുങ്ങുന്നു; അവന്റെ തര്ജ്ജനത്താല് അവ ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകുന്നു.

11. The pillars of heaven shake with fear. They are surprised and afraid of His sharp words.

12. അവന് തന്റെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടു സമുദ്രത്തെ ഇളക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ വിവേകംകൊണ്ടു രഹബിനെ തകര്ക്കുംന്നു.

12. He made the sea quiet by His power. And by His understanding He destroyed Rahab.

13. അവന്റെ ശ്വാസത്താല് ആകാശം ശോഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കൈ വിദ്രുതസര്പ്പത്തെ കുത്തിത്തുളെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. By His breath the heavens are made beautiful. His hand cut through the snake as it tried to get away.

14. എന്നാല് ഇവ അവന്റെ വഴികളുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളത്രേ; നാം അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു മന്ദസ്വരമേ കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ളു. അവന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ ഇടിമുഴക്കമോ ആര് ഗ്രഹിക്കും?

14. See, these are only a few of the things He does. And how quiet are the words spoken about Him! But who can understand His powerful thunder?'
