1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും ഇയ്യോബിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. [ 39:31] And the Lord God answered Job and said,

2. ആക്ഷേപകന് സര്വ്വശക്തനോടു വാദിക്കുമോ? ദൈവത്തോടു തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നവന് ഇതിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയട്ടെ.

2. [ 39:32] Will [anyone] pervert judgment with the Mighty One? And he that reproves God, let him answer it.

3. അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് യഹോവയോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

3. [ 39:33] And Job answered and said to the Lord,

4. ഞാന് നിസ്സാരനല്ലോ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടു എന്തുത്തരം പറയേണ്ടു? ഞാന് കൈകൊണ്ടു വായി പൊത്തിക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

4. [ 39:34] Why do I yet plead? Being rebuked even while reproving the Lord: hearing such things, whereas I am nothing: and what shall I answer to these [arguments]? I will lay my hand upon my mouth.

5. ഒരുവട്ടം ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ചു; ഇനി ഉത്തരം പറകയില്ല. രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഞാന് ഉരചെയ്തു; ഇനി മിണ്ടുകയില്ല.

5. [ 39:35] I have spoken once, but I will not do so a second time.

6. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റില്നിന്നു ഇയ്യോബിനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

6. [ 40:1] And the Lord yet again answered and spoke to Job out of the cloud, [saying],

7. നീ പുരുഷനെപ്പോലെ അര മുറുക്കിക്കൊള്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും; നീ എനിക്കു ഗ്രഹിപ്പിച്ചുതരിക.

7. [ 40:2] Nay, gird up now your loins like a man; and I will ask you, and you shall answer Me.

8. നീ എന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തുമോ? നീ നീതിമാനാകേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെ കുറ്റം പറയുമോ?

8. [ 40:3] Do not set aside My judgment: and do you think that I have dealt with you in any other way, than that you might appear to be righteous?

9. ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിനക്കു ഭുജം ഉണ്ടോ? അവനെപ്പോലെ നിനക്കു ഇടിമുഴക്കാമോ?

9. [ 40:4] Have you an arm like the Lord's? Or can you thunder with a voice like His?

10. നീ മഹിമയും പ്രതാപവും അണിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ക. തേജസ്സും പ്രഭാവവും ധരിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

10. [ 40:5] Assume now a lofty bearing and power; and clothe yourself with glory and honor.

11. നിന്റെ കോപപ്രവാഹങ്ങളെ ഒഴുക്കുക; ഏതു ഗര്വ്വിയെയും നോക്കി താഴ്ത്തുക.

11. [ 40:6] And send forth messengers with wrath, and lay low every haughty one.

12. ഏതു ഗര്വ്വിയെയും നോക്കി കവിഴ്ത്തുക; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ അവരുടെ നിലയില് തന്നേ വീഴ്ത്തിക്കളക.

12. [ 40:7] Bring down also the proud man, and consume at once the ungodly.

13. അവരെ ഒക്കെയും പൊടിയില് മറെച്ചുവെക്കുക; അവരുടെ മുഖങ്ങളെ മറവിടത്തു ബന്ധിച്ചുകളക.

13. [ 40:8] And hide them together in the earth, and fill their faces with shame.

14. അപ്പോള് നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാനും നിന്നെ ശ്ളാഘിച്ചു പറയും.

14. [ 40:9] [Then] will I confess that your right hand can save [you].

15. ഞാന് നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന നദീഹയമുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതു കാളയെപ്പോലെ പുല്ലുതിന്നുന്നു.

15. [ 40:10] But now look at the wild beasts among you; they eat grass like oxen.

16. അതിന്റെ ശക്തി അതിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തും അതിന്റെ ബലം വയറ്റിന്റെ മാംസപേശികളിലും ആകുന്നു.

16. [ 40:11] Behold now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.

17. ദേവദാരുതുല്യമായ തന്റെ വാല് അതു ആട്ടുന്നു; അതിന്റെ തുടയിലെ ഞരമ്പുകള് കൂടി പിണഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. [ 40:12] He sets up his tail like a cypress, and his nerves are wrapped together.

18. അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ചെമ്പുകുഴല്പോലെയും എല്ലുകള് ഇരിമ്പഴിപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

18. [ 40:13] His sides are sides of brass, and his backbone is as cast iron.

19. അതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളില് പ്രധാനമായുള്ളതു; അതിനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയവന് അതിന്നു ഒരു വാള് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

19. [ 40:14] This is the chief of the creation of the Lord; made to be played with by His angels.

20. കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കളിക്കുന്നിടമായ പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് അതിന്നു തീന് വിളയിക്കുന്നു.

20. [ 40:15] And when he has gone up to a steep mountain, he causes joy to the quadrupeds in the deep.

21. അതു നീര്മരുതിന്റെ ചുവട്ടിലും ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ മറവിലും ചതുപ്പുനിലത്തും കിടക്കുന്നു.

21. [ 40:16] He lies under trees of every kind, by the papyrus, [the] reed, and [the] bulrush.

22. നീര്മരുതു നിഴല്കൊണ്ടു അതിനെ മറെക്കുന്നു; തോട്ടിങ്കലെ അലരി അതിനെ ചുറ്റി നിലക്കുന്നു;

22. [ 40:17] And the great trees make a shadow over him with their branches, and so do the bushes of the field.

23. നദി കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകിയാലും അതു ഭ്രമിക്കുന്നില്ല; യോര്ദ്ദാന് അതിന്റെ വായിലേക്കു ചാടിയാലും അതു നിര്ഭയമായിരിക്കും.

23. [ 40:18] If there should be a flood, he will not perceive it; he trusts that the Jordan will rush up into his mouth.

24. അതു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ അതിനെ പിടിക്കാമോ? അതിന്റെ മൂക്കില് കയര് കോര്ക്കാമോ?

24. [ 40:19] [Yet one] shall take him in his sight; one shall catch him with a cord, and pierce his nose.
