1. എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ ഏറ്റവും വലിയവന് ; മഹത്വവും തേജസ്സും നീ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

1. Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, Yahweh, my God, thou art exceedingly great, With honour and majesty, hast thou clothed thyself,

2. വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കുമ്പോലെ നീ പ്രകാശത്തെ ധരിക്കുന്നു; തിരശ്ശീലപോലെ നീ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. Putting on light, as a robe, Stretching out the heavens, as a curtain;

3. അവന് തന്റെ മാളികകളുടെ തുലാങ്ങളെ വെള്ളത്തിന്മേല് നിരത്തുന്നു; മേഘങ്ങളെ തന്റെ തേരാക്കി, കാറ്റിന് ചിറകിന്മേല് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

3. Building, in the waters, his upper chambers, Who maketh clouds his chariot, Who passeth along on the wings of the wind;

4. അവന് കാറ്റുകളെ തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരും അഗ്നിജ്വാലയെ തന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരും ആക്കുന്നു.

4. Making His messengers, winds, His attendants, a flaming fire;

5. അവന് ഭൂമിയെ അതൊരിക്കലും ഇളകിപ്പോകാതവണ്ണം അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേല് സ്ഥാപിച്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

5. He hath fixed the earth on its foundations, It is not to be shaken, to times age-abiding and beyond.

6. നീ അതിനെ വസ്ത്രംകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ ആഴികൊണ്ടു മൂടി; വെള്ളം പര്വ്വതങ്ങള്ക്കു മീതെ നിന്നു.

6. With the resounding deep as a garment, hast thou covered it, Above the mountains, stand the waters;

7. അവ നിന്റെ ശാസനയാല് ഔടിപ്പോയി; നിന്റെ ഇടിമുഴക്കത്താല് അവ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു -

7. At thy rebuke, they flee, At the voice of thy thunder, they hurry away;

8. മലകള് പൊങ്ങി, താഴ്വരകള് താണു - നീ അവേക്കു നിശ്ചയിച്ച സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി;

8. Mountains rise, Valleys sink, Unto the place which thou hast fixed for them;

9. ഭൂമിയെ മൂടുവാന് മടങ്ങിവരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അവേക്കു കടന്നുകൂടാത്ത ഒരു അതിര് ഇട്ടു.

9. Bounds, hast thou set, which they are not to pass over, They are not to return to cover the earth.

10. അവന് ഉറവുകളെ താഴ്വരകളിലേക്കു ഒഴുക്കുന്നു; അവ മലകളുടെ ഇടയില്കൂടി ഒലിക്കുന്നു.

10. Who hast sent forth springs, through the torrent-beds, Between the mountains, they flow along;

11. അവയില്നിന്നു വയലിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങളും കുടിക്കുന്നു; കാട്ടുകഴുതകളും തങ്ങളുടെ ദാഹം തീര്ക്കുംന്നു;

11. They give drink, to every wild beast of the field, The wild asses do break their thirst.

12. അവയുടെ തീരങ്ങളില് ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകള് വസിക്കയും കൊമ്പുകളുടെ ഇടയില് പാടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

12. Over them, the bird of the heavens settleth down, From amidst the foliage, they utter a voice.

13. അവന് തന്റെ മാളികകളില് നിന്നു മലകളെ നനെക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിക്കു നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ഫലത്താല് തൃപ്തിവരുന്നു.

13. Who watereth the mountains out of his upper chambers, Out of the fruit of thy works, thou satisfiest the earth.

14. അവന് മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കു പുല്ലും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഉപയോഗത്തിന്നായി സസ്യവും മുളെപ്പിക്കുന്നു;

14. Who causeth the grass to shoot forth for the cattle, And the herb, for the service of man, That he may bring forth food out of the earth;

15. അവന് ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു ആഹാരവും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വീഞ്ഞും അവന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മിനുക്കുവാന് എണ്ണയും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന അപ്പവും ഉത്ഭവിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

15. And, wine, may rejoice the heart of man, Making radiant his well-nourished face, And, food, may, the heart of man, sustain.

16. യഹോവയുടെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുന്നു; അവന് നട്ടിട്ടുള്ള ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുക്കള്ക്കു തന്നേ.

16. Satisfied are, The trees of Yahweh, The cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;

17. അവിടെ പക്ഷികള് കൂടുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; പെരുഞാറെക്കു സരളവൃക്ഷങ്ങള് പാര്പ്പിടമാകുന്നു.

17. Where the birds build their nests, The stork, in the fir-trees, hath her house;

18. ഉയര്ന്നമലകള് കാട്ടാടുകള്ക്കും പാറകള് കുഴിമുയലുകള്ക്കും സങ്കേതമാകുന്നു.

18. The high mountains, are for the chamois, The crags, are a refuge for the conies.

19. അവന് കാലനിര്ണ്ണയത്തിന്നായി ചന്ദ്രനെ നിയമിച്ചു; സൂര്യന് തന്റെ അസ്തമാനത്തെ അറിയുന്നു.

19. He hath made the moon for seasons, And, the sun, knoweth his place for entering in.

20. നീ ഇരുട്ടു വരുത്തുന്നു; രാത്രി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; അപ്പോള് കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളൊക്കെയും സഞ്ചാരം തുടങ്ങുന്നു.

20. Thou causest darkness, and it becometh night, Therein, creepeth forth, Every wild beast of the forest;

21. ബാലസിംഹങ്ങള് ഇരെക്കായി അലറുന്നു; അവ ദൈവത്തോടു തങ്ങളുടെ ആഹാരം ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

21. The young lions, roaring for prey, And seeking, from GOD, their food.

22. സൂര്യന് ഉദിക്കുമ്പോള് അവ മടങ്ങുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ഗുഹകളില് ചെന്നു കിടക്കുന്നു.

22. The sun ariseth, they withdraw themselves, And, in their lairs, lay them down.

23. മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ പണിക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; സന്ധ്യവരെയുള്ള തന്റെ വേലെക്കായി തന്നേ.

23. Man goeth forth to his work, And to his labour, until evening.

24. യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികള് എത്ര പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു! ജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ നീ അവയെ ഒക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമി നിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളാല് നിറെഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. How thy works abound, O Yahweh! All of them in wisdom, hast thou made, The earth is full of thy possession:

25. വലിപ്പവും വിസ്താരവും ഉള്ള സമുദ്രം അതാ കിടക്കുന്നു! അതില് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ചെറിയതും വലിയതുമായ അസംഖ്യജന്തുക്കള് ഉണ്ടു.

25. This sea here, is great and broad on both hands, Wherein are creeping things, even without number, Living things, small with great;

26. അതില് കപ്പലുകള് ഔടുന്നു; അതില് കളിപ്പാന് നീ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ലിവ്യാഥാന് ഉണ്ടു.

26. There, ships, sail along, This sea-monster, thou hast formed to sport therein;

27. തക്കസമയത്തു തീന് കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇവ ഒക്കെയും നിന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. All of them, for thee, do wait, That thou mayest give them their food in its season;

28. നീ കൊടുക്കുന്നതിനെ അവ പെറുക്കുന്നു തൃക്കൈ തുറക്കുമ്പോള് അവേക്കു നന്മകൊണ്ടു തൃപ്തിവരുന്നു.

28. Thou givest unto them, they gather, Thou openest thy hand, they are satisfied with good.

29. തിരുമുഖത്തെ മറെക്കുമ്പോള് അവ ഭ്രമിച്ചു പോകുന്നു; നീ അവയുടെ ശ്വാസം എടുക്കുമ്പോള് അവ ചത്തു പൊടിയിലേക്കു തിരികെ ചേരുന്നു;

29. Thou hidest thy face, they are dismayed, Thou withdrawest their spirit, They cease to breathe, And, unto their own dust, do they return:

30. നീ നിന്റെ ശ്വാസം അയക്കുമ്പോള് അവ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; നീ ഭൂമിയുടെ മുഖത്തെ പുതുക്കുന്നു.

30. Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, And thou renewest the face of the ground.

31. യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം എന്നേക്കും നിലക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; യഹോവ തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളില് സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

31. Be thy glory, O Yahweh, to times age-abiding, Let Yahweh rejoice in his own works:

32. അവന് ഭൂമിയെ നോക്കുന്നു, അതു വിറെക്കുന്നു; അവന് മലകളെ തൊടുന്നു, അവ പുകയുന്നു.

32. Who looketh at the earth, and it trembleth, He toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.

33. എന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊക്കെയും ഞാന് യഹോവേക്കു പാടും; ഞാന് ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കിര്ത്തനം പാടും.

33. I will sing to Yahweh, as long as I live! Yea I will touch the strings to my God, while I continue;

34. എന്റെ ധ്യാനം അവന്നു പ്രസാദകരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; ഞാന് യഹോവയില് സന്തോഷിക്കും.

34. Pleasing unto him, be my meditation, I, will rejoice in Yahweh.

35. പാപികള് ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് ഇല്ലാതെയാകട്ടെ; എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് .

35. Sinners shall be consumed out of the earth And, the lawless, no more, shall exist, Bless, O my soul, Yahweh, Praise ye Yah!
