1. എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ ഏറ്റവും വലിയവന് ; മഹത്വവും തേജസ്സും നീ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു;

1. Bless Yahweh, my soul, Yahweh, my God, how great you are! Clothed in majesty and splendour,

2. വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കുമ്പോലെ നീ പ്രകാശത്തെ ധരിക്കുന്നു; തിരശ്ശീലപോലെ നീ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. wearing the light as a robe! You stretch out the heavens like a tent,

6. you covered it with the deep like a garment, the waters overtopping the mountains.

7. അവ നിന്റെ ശാസനയാല് ഔടിപ്പോയി; നിന്റെ ഇടിമുഴക്കത്താല് അവ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു -

7. At your reproof the waters fled, at the voice of your thunder they sped away,

8. മലകള് പൊങ്ങി, താഴ്വരകള് താണു - നീ അവേക്കു നിശ്ചയിച്ച സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി;

8. flowing over mountains, down valleys, to the place you had fixed for them;

9. ഭൂമിയെ മൂടുവാന് മടങ്ങിവരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അവേക്കു കടന്നുകൂടാത്ത ഒരു അതിര് ഇട്ടു.

9. you made a limit they were not to cross, they were not to return and cover the earth.

10. അവന് ഉറവുകളെ താഴ്വരകളിലേക്കു ഒഴുക്കുന്നു; അവ മലകളുടെ ഇടയില്കൂടി ഒലിക്കുന്നു.

10. In the ravines you opened up springs, running down between the mountains,

11. അവയില്നിന്നു വയലിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങളും കുടിക്കുന്നു; കാട്ടുകഴുതകളും തങ്ങളുടെ ദാഹം തീര്ക്കുംന്നു;

11. supplying water for all the wild beasts; the wild asses quench their thirst,

12. അവയുടെ തീരങ്ങളില് ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകള് വസിക്കയും കൊമ്പുകളുടെ ഇടയില് പാടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

12. on their banks the birds of the air make their nests, they sing among the leaves.

13. അവന് തന്റെ മാളികകളില് നിന്നു മലകളെ നനെക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിക്കു നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ഫലത്താല് തൃപ്തിവരുന്നു.

13. From your high halls you water the mountains, satisfying the earth with the fruit of your works:

14. അവന് മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കു പുല്ലും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഉപയോഗത്തിന്നായി സസ്യവും മുളെപ്പിക്കുന്നു;

14. for cattle you make the grass grow, and for people the plants they need, to bring forth food from the earth,

15. അവന് ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു ആഹാരവും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വീഞ്ഞും അവന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മിനുക്കുവാന് എണ്ണയും മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന അപ്പവും ഉത്ഭവിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

15. and wine to cheer people's hearts, oil to make their faces glow, food to make them sturdy of heart.

16. യഹോവയുടെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുന്നു; അവന് നട്ടിട്ടുള്ള ലെബാനോനിലെ ദേവദാരുക്കള്ക്കു തന്നേ.

16. The trees of Yahweh drink their fill, the cedars of Lebanon which he sowed;

17. അവിടെ പക്ഷികള് കൂടുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; പെരുഞാറെക്കു സരളവൃക്ഷങ്ങള് പാര്പ്പിടമാകുന്നു.

17. there the birds build their nests, on the highest branches the stork makes its home;

18. ഉയര്ന്നമലകള് കാട്ടാടുകള്ക്കും പാറകള് കുഴിമുയലുകള്ക്കും സങ്കേതമാകുന്നു.

18. for the wild goats there are the mountains, in the crags the coneys find refuge.

19. അവന് കാലനിര്ണ്ണയത്തിന്നായി ചന്ദ്രനെ നിയമിച്ചു; സൂര്യന് തന്റെ അസ്തമാനത്തെ അറിയുന്നു.

19. He made the moon to mark the seasons, the sun knows when to set.

20. നീ ഇരുട്ടു വരുത്തുന്നു; രാത്രി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; അപ്പോള് കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളൊക്കെയും സഞ്ചാരം തുടങ്ങുന്നു.

20. You bring on darkness, and night falls, when all the forest beasts roam around;

21. ബാലസിംഹങ്ങള് ഇരെക്കായി അലറുന്നു; അവ ദൈവത്തോടു തങ്ങളുടെ ആഹാരം ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

21. young lions roar for their prey, asking God for their food.

22. സൂര്യന് ഉദിക്കുമ്പോള് അവ മടങ്ങുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ഗുഹകളില് ചെന്നു കിടക്കുന്നു.

22. The sun rises and away they steal, back to their lairs to lie down,

23. മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ പണിക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; സന്ധ്യവരെയുള്ള തന്റെ വേലെക്കായി തന്നേ.

23. and man goes out to work, to labour till evening falls.

24. യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികള് എത്ര പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു! ജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ നീ അവയെ ഒക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമി നിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടികളാല് നിറെഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. How countless are your works, Yahweh, all of them made so wisely! The earth is full of your creatures.

25. വലിപ്പവും വിസ്താരവും ഉള്ള സമുദ്രം അതാ കിടക്കുന്നു! അതില് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്ന ചെറിയതും വലിയതുമായ അസംഖ്യജന്തുക്കള് ഉണ്ടു.

25. Then there is the sea, with its vast expanses teeming with countless creatures, creatures both great and small;

26. അതില് കപ്പലുകള് ഔടുന്നു; അതില് കളിപ്പാന് നീ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ലിവ്യാഥാന് ഉണ്ടു.

26. there ships pass to and fro, and Leviathan whom you made to sport with.

27. തക്കസമയത്തു തീന് കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇവ ഒക്കെയും നിന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

27. They all depend upon you, to feed them when they need it.

28. നീ കൊടുക്കുന്നതിനെ അവ പെറുക്കുന്നു തൃക്കൈ തുറക്കുമ്പോള് അവേക്കു നന്മകൊണ്ടു തൃപ്തിവരുന്നു.

28. You provide the food they gather, your open hand gives them their fill.

29. തിരുമുഖത്തെ മറെക്കുമ്പോള് അവ ഭ്രമിച്ചു പോകുന്നു; നീ അവയുടെ ശ്വാസം എടുക്കുമ്പോള് അവ ചത്തു പൊടിയിലേക്കു തിരികെ ചേരുന്നു;

29. Turn away your face and they panic; take back their breath and they die and revert to dust.

30. നീ നിന്റെ ശ്വാസം അയക്കുമ്പോള് അവ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; നീ ഭൂമിയുടെ മുഖത്തെ പുതുക്കുന്നു.

30. Send out your breath and life begins; you renew the face of the earth.

31. യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്വം എന്നേക്കും നിലക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; യഹോവ തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളില് സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

31. Glory to Yahweh for ever! May Yahweh find joy in his creatures!

32. അവന് ഭൂമിയെ നോക്കുന്നു, അതു വിറെക്കുന്നു; അവന് മലകളെ തൊടുന്നു, അവ പുകയുന്നു.

32. At his glance the earth trembles, at his touch the mountains pour forth smoke.

33. എന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തൊക്കെയും ഞാന് യഹോവേക്കു പാടും; ഞാന് ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കിര്ത്തനം പാടും.

33. I shall sing to Yahweh all my life, make music for my God as long as I live.

34. എന്റെ ധ്യാനം അവന്നു പ്രസാദകരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; ഞാന് യഹോവയില് സന്തോഷിക്കും.

34. May my musings be pleasing to him, for Yahweh gives me joy.

35. പാപികള് ഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് ഇല്ലാതെയാകട്ടെ; എന് മനമേ, യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക; യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് .
