1. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് ; യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വിന് ; അവന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളതു.

1. Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord because he is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.

2. യഹോവയുടെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ആര് വര്ണ്ണിക്കും? അവന്റെ സ്തുതിയെ ഒക്കെയും ആര് വിവരിക്കും?

2. Who can expresse the noble actes of the Lord, or shewe forth all his prayse?

3. ന്യായത്തെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവരും എല്ലായ്പോഴും നീതി പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവനും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്.

3. Blessed are they that keepe iudgement, and doe righteousnesse at all times.

4. യഹോവേ, നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവരുടെ നന്മ ഞാന് കാണേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തില് സന്തോഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തോടുകൂടെ പുകഴേണ്ടതിന്നും

4. Remember me, O Lord, with the fauour of thy people: visite me with thy saluation,

5. നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടുള്ള കടാക്ഷപ്രകാരം എന്നെ ഔര്ത്തു, നിന്റെ രക്ഷകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കേണമേ.

5. That I may see the felicitie of thy chosen, and reioyce in the ioy of thy people, and glorie with thine inheritance.

6. ഞങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പാപം ചെയ്തു; ഞങ്ങള് അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.

6. We haue sinned with our fathers: we haue committed iniquitie, and done wickedly.

7. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മിസ്രയീമില്വെച്ചു നിന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ മഹാദയയെ ഔര്ക്കാതെയും കടല്ക്കരയില്, ചെങ്കടല്ക്കരയില്വെച്ചു തന്നേ മത്സരിച്ചു.

7. Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.

8. എന്നിട്ടും അവന് തന്റെ മഹാശക്തി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

8. Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen.

9. അവന് ചെങ്കടലിനെ ശാസിച്ചു, അതു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി; അവന് അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയില്കൂടി എന്നപോലെ ആഴിയില്കൂടി നടത്തി.

9. And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.

10. അവന് പകയന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു; ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു അവരെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു.

10. And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.

11. വെള്ളം അവരുടെ വൈരികളെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവരില് ഒരുത്തനും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

11. And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.

12. അവര് അവന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അവന്നു സ്തുതിപാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

12. Then beleeued they his wordes, and sang prayse vnto him.

13. എങ്കിലും അവര് വേഗത്തില് അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ മറന്നു; അവന്റെ ആലോചനെക്കു കാത്തിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

13. But incontinently they forgate his workes: they wayted not for his counsell,

14. മരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു അവര് ഏറ്റവും മോഹിച്ചു; നിര്ജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു അവര് ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.
1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 10:6

14. But lusted with concupiscence in the wildernes, and tempted God in the desert.

15. അവര് അപേക്ഷിച്ചതു അവന് അവര്ക്കുംകൊടുത്തു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്നു ക്ഷയം അയച്ചു.

15. Then he gaue them their desire: but he sent leannesse into their soule.

16. പാളയത്തില്വെച്ചു അവര് മോശെയോടും യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധനായ അഹരോനോടും അസൂയപ്പെട്ടു.

16. They enuied Moses also in the tentes, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.

17. ഭൂമി പിളര്ന്നു ദാഥാനെ വിഴുങ്ങി; അബീരാമിന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തെയും മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

17. Therefore the earth opened and swallowed vp Dathan, and couered the companie of Abiram.

18. അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് തീ കത്തി; അഗ്നിജ്വാല ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

18. And the fire was kindled in their assembly: the flame burnt vp the wicked.

19. അവര് ഹോരേബില്വെച്ചു ഒരു കാളകൂട്ടിയെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; വാര്ത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

19. They made a calfe in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.

20. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വമായവനെ പുല്ലു തിന്നുന്ന കാളയോടു സദ്രശനാക്കി തീര്ത്തു.

20. Thus they turned their glory into the similitude of a bullocke, that eateth grasse.

21. മിസ്രയീമില് വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങളും ഹാമിന്റെ ദേശത്തു അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും

21. They forgate God their Sauiour, which had done great things in Egypt,

22. ചെങ്കടലിങ്കല് ഭയങ്കരകാര്യങ്ങളും ചെയ്തവനായി തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തെ അവര് മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

22. Wonderous woorkes in the lande of Ham, and fearefull things by the red Sea.

23. ആകയാല് അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നു അവന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ വൃതനായ മോശെ കോപത്തെ ശമിപ്പിപ്പാന് അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് പിളര്പ്പില് നിന്നില്ലെങ്കില് അവന് അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു.

23. Therefore he minded to destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stand in the breach before him to turne away his wrath, least he shoulde destroy them.

24. അവര് മനോഹരദേശത്തെ നിരസിച്ചു; അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ വിശ്വസിച്ചതുമില്ല.

24. Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,

25. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു പിറുപിറുത്തു; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേള്ക്കാതെയിരുന്നു.
1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 10:10

25. But murmured in their tentes, and hearkened not vnto the voice of the Lord.

26. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് മരുഭൂമിയില് അവരെ വീഴിക്കുമെന്നും അവരുടെ സന്തതിയെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും

26. Therefore hee lifted vp his hande against them, to destroy them in the wildernesse,

27. അവരെ ദേശങ്ങളില് ചിതറിച്ചുകളയുമെന്നും അവര്ക്കും വിരോധമായി തന്റെ കൈ ഉയര്ത്തി സത്യംചെയ്തു.

27. And to destroy their seede among the nations, and to scatter them throughout the countries.

28. അനന്തരം അവര് ബാല്പെയോരിനോടു ചേര്ന്നു; പ്രേതങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള ബലികളെ തിന്നു.

28. They ioyned themselues also vnto Baalpeor, and did eate the offrings of the dead.

29. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ക്രിയകളാല് അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; പെട്ടെന്നു ഒരു ബാധ അവര്ക്കും തട്ടി.

29. Thus they prouoked him vnto anger with their owne inuentions, and the plague brake in vpon them.

30. അപ്പോള് ഫീനെഹാസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിക്ഷ നടത്തി; ബാധ നിര്ത്തലാകയും ചെയ്തു.

30. But Phinehas stoode vp, and executed iudgement, and the plague was staied.

31. അതു എന്നേക്കും തലമുറതലമുറയായി അവന്നു നീതിയായിഎണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

31. And it was imputed vnto him for righteousnes from generation to generation for euer.

32. മെരീബാവെള്ളത്തിങ്കലും അവര് അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെനിമിത്തം മോശെക്കും ദോഷം ഭവിച്ചു.

32. They angred him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was punished for their sakes,

33. അവര് അവന്റെ മനസ്സിനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് അധരങ്ങളാല് അവിവേകം സംസാരിച്ചുപോയി.

33. Because they vexed his spirite, so that hee spake vnaduisedly with his lippes.

34. യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു നശിപ്പിപ്പാന് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവര് ജാതികളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.

34. Neither destroied they the people, as the Lord had commanded them,

35. അവര് ജാതികളോടു ഇടകലര്ന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ പഠിച്ചു.

35. But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their workes,

36. അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും സേവിച്ചു; അവ അവര്ക്കൊരു കണിയായി തീര്ന്നു.

36. And serued their idoles, which were their ruine.

37. തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവര് ഭൂതങ്ങള്ക്കു ബലികഴിച്ചു.
1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 10:20

37. Yea, they offered their sonnes, and their daughters vnto deuils,

38. അവര് കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം, പുത്രീപുത്രന്മാരുടെ രക്തം തന്നേ ചൊരിഞ്ഞു; അവരെ അവര് കനാന്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കു ബലികഴിച്ചു, ദേശം രക്തപാതകംകൊണ്ടു അശുദ്ധമായ്തീര്ന്നു.

38. And shed innocent blood, euen the blood of their sonnes, and of their daughters, whome they offred vnto the idoles of Canaan, and the lande was defiled with blood.

39. ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ക്രിയകളാല് മലിനപ്പെട്ടു, തങ്ങളുടെ കര്മ്മങ്ങളാല് പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു.

39. Thus were they steined with their owne woorkes, and went a whoring with their owne inuentions.

40. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ കോപം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവന് തന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ വെറുത്തു.

40. Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he abhorred his owne inheritance.

41. അവന് അവരെ ജാതികളുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരെ പകെച്ചവര് അവരെ ഭരിച്ചു.

41. And hee gaue them into the hande of the heathen: and they that hated them, were lordes ouer them.

42. അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് അവരെ ഞെരുക്കി; അവര് അവര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടിവന്നു.

42. Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were humbled vnder their hand.

43. പലപ്പോഴും അവന് അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ആലോചനയാല് അവനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു; തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം അധോഗതിപ്രാപിച്ചു.

43. Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie.

44. എന്നാല് അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടപ്പോള് അവന് അവരുടെ കഷ്ടതയെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു.

44. Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie.

45. അവന് അവര്ക്കായി തന്റെ നിയമത്തെ ഔര്ത്തു; തന്റെ മഹാദയപ്രകാരം അനുതപിച്ചു.

45. And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,

46. അവരെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയവര്ക്കെല്ലാം അവരോടു കനിവു തോന്നുമാറാക്കി.

46. And gaue them fauour in the sight of all them that lead them captiues.

47. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാനും നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയില് പ്രശംസിപ്പാനും ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കേണമേ.

47. Saue vs, O Lord our God, and gather vs from among the heathen, that we may praise thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.

48. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; ജനമെല്ലാം ആമേന് എന്നു പറയട്ടെ. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് .

48. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer, and let all the people say, So be it. Praise yee the Lord.
