1. ആരോഹണഗീതം

1. A Song of Ascents. WHEN THE Lord brought back the captives [who returned] to Zion, we were like those who dream [it seemed so unreal]. [Ps. 53:6; Acts 12:9.]

2. യഹോവ സീയോന്റെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തിയപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങള് സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

2. Then were our mouths filled with laughter, and our tongues with singing. Then they said among the nations, The Lord has done great things for them.

3. അന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ വായില് ചിരിയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാവിന്മേല് ആര്പ്പും നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. യഹോവ അവരില് വങ്കാര്യങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് അന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. The Lord has done great things for us! We are glad!

4. യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളില് വങ്കാര്യങ്ങളെ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

4. Turn to freedom our captivity and restore our fortunes, O Lord, as the streams in the South (the Negeb) [are restored by the torrents].

5. യഹോവേ, തെക്കെനാട്ടിലെ തോടുകളെപ്പോലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തേണമേ.
