1. യഹോവേ, ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കരുതേ. ഉഗ്രനീരസത്തോടെ എന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയുമരുതേ.

1. A song of David for the day of remembrance. Lord, don't criticize me when you are angry. Don't discipline me in anger.

2. നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങള് എന്നില് തറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ മേല് ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. You have hurt me. You punished me and hurt me deeply.

3. നിന്റെ നീരസം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ ദേഹത്തില് സൌഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളില് സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.

3. You punished me severely, so my whole body is sore. I sinned, and now all my bones hurt.

4. എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള് എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്കു അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. My guilt is like a heavy burden. I am sinking beneath its weight.

5. എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വംഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങള് ചീഞ്ഞുനാറുന്നു.

5. I did a foolish thing, and now I have infected sores that stink.

6. ഞാന് കുനിഞ്ഞു ഏറ്റവും കൂനിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.

6. I am bent and bowed down. I am depressed all day long.

7. എന്റെ അരയില് വരള്ച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തില് സൌഖ്യമില്ല.

7. I am burning with fever, and my whole body hurts.

8. ഞാന് ക്ഷീണിച്ചു അത്യന്തം തകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഞരക്കംനിമിത്തം ഞാന് അലറുന്നു. കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം നിനക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

8. I hurt so much I cannot feel anything. My pounding heart makes me scream!

9. എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് വശംകെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എനിക്കില്ലാതെയായി.

9. My Lord, you heard my groaning. You can hear my sighs.

10. എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും കൂട്ടുകാരും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ടു മാറിനിലക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരും അകന്നുനിലക്കുന്നു.

10. My heart is pounding. My strength is gone, and I am going blind.

11. എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവര് കണിവെക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അനര്ത്ഥം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് വേണ്ടാതനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

11. Because of my sickness, my friends and neighbors will not visit me; my family will not come near me.

12. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേള്ക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ്തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

12. My enemies say bad things about me. They are spreading lies and rumors. They talk about me all the time.

13. ഞാന് , കേള്ക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായില് പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

13. But I am like a deaf man and cannot hear. I am like someone who cannot speak.

14. യഹോവേ, നിങ്കല് ഞാന് പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവേ, നീ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.

14. I am like those who cannot hear what people are saying about them. I cannot answer to prove my enemies wrong.

15. അവര് എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാല് വഴുതുമ്പോള് അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറയുമല്ലോ.

15. Lord, you must defend me. Lord my God, you must speak for me.

16. ഞാന് ഇടറി വീഴുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

16. That's why I prayed, 'Don't let my enemies smile at my pain. Full of pride, they will laugh if I stumble and fall.'

17. ഞാന് എന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.

17. I know I am guilty of doing wrong. I cannot forget my pain.

18. എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോ ജീവനും ബലവുമുള്ളവര്. എന്നെ വെറുതെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. Lord, I told you about the bad things I did. I am worried about my sins.

19. ഞാന് നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാല് അവര് എനിക്കു വിരോധികളായി നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. But my enemies are alive and healthy, and they have told many lies.

20. യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈവിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.

20. I did nothing but good, and they paid me back with evil. I try to do what is right, but that only makes them turn against me.

21. എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിന്നു വേഗം വരേണമേ.

21. Lord, don't leave me. My God, stay close to me.
