1. മാന് നീര്ത്തോടുകളിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുവാന് കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിന്നോടു ചേരുവാന് കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

1. To the Overseer. -- An Instruction. By sons of Korah. As a hart doth pant for streams of water, So my soul panteth toward Thee, O God.

2. എന്റെ ആത്മാവു ദൈവത്തിന്നായി, ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്നായി തന്നേ, ദാഹിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് എപ്പോള് ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ചെല്ലുവാനിടയാകും.

2. My soul thirsted for God, for the living God, When do I enter and see the face of God?

3. നിന്റെ ദൈവം എവിടെ എന്നു അവര് എന്നോടു നിത്യം പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കണ്ണുനീര് രാവും പകലും എന്റെ ആഹാരമായ്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. My tear hath been to me bread day and night, In their saying unto me all the day, 'Where [is] thy God?'

4. ഉത്സവം ആചരിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ സന്തോഷവും സ്തോത്രവുമായ സ്വരത്തോടുകൂടെ സമൂഹമദ്ധ്യേ ഞാന് ദൈവാലയത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നതു ഔര്ത്തു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം എന്നില് പകരുന്നു.

4. These I remember, and pour out my soul in me, For I pass over into the booth, I go softly with them unto the house of God, With the voice of singing and confession, The multitude keeping feast!

5. എന്റെ ആത്മാവേ, നീ വിഷാദിച്ചു ഉള്ളില് ഞരങ്ങുന്നതെന്തു? ദൈവത്തില് പ്രത്യാശ വെക്കുക; അവന് എന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശകരക്ഷയും എന്റെ ദൈവവുമാകുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഇനിയും അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

5. What! bowest thou thyself, O my soul? Yea, art thou troubled within me? Wait for God, for still I confess Him: The salvation of my countenance -- My God!

6. എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ആത്മാവു എന്നില് വിഷാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യോര്ദ്ദാന് പ്രദേശത്തും ഹെര്മ്മോന് പര്വ്വതങ്ങളിലും മിസാര്മലയിലുംവെച്ചു ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഔര്ക്കുംന്നു;

6. In me doth my soul bow itself, Therefore I remember Thee from the land of Jordan, And of the Hermons, from the hill Mizar.

7. നിന്റെ നീര്ച്ചാട്ടങ്ങളുടെ ഇരെച്ചലാല് ആഴി ആഴിയെ വിളിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ഔളങ്ങളും തിരമാലകളുമെല്ലാം എന്റെ മീതെ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു.

7. Deep unto deep is calling At the noise of Thy water-spouts, All Thy breakers and Thy billows passed over me.

8. യഹോവ പകല്നേരത്തു തന്റെ ദയ കല്പിക്കും; രാത്രിസമയത്തു ഞാന് അവന്നു പാട്ടു പാടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; എന്റെ ജീവന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള പ്രാര്ത്ഥന തന്നേ.

8. By day Jehovah commandeth His kindness, And by night a song [is] with me, A prayer to the God of my life.

9. നീ എന്നെ മറന്നതു എന്തു? ശത്രുവിന്റെ ഉപദ്രവംഹേതുവായി ഞാന് ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കേണ്ടിവന്നതുമെന്തു? എന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ പാറയായ ദൈവത്തോടു പറയും.

9. I say to God my rock, 'Why hast Thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning in the oppression of an enemy?

10. നിന്റെ ദൈവം എവിടെ എന്നു എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ തകര്ക്കുംവണ്ണം എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

10. With a sword in my bones Have mine adversaries reproached me, In their saying unto me all the day, 'Where [is] thy God?'

11. എന്റെ ആത്മാവേ, നീ വിഷാദിച്ചു ഉള്ളില് ഞരങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവത്തില് പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുക; അവന് എന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശകരക്ഷയും എന്റെ ദൈവവുമാകുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ഇനിയും അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കും.
