1. ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു കാളയെയോ ഒരു ആടിനെയോ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു അറുക്കുകയാകട്ടെ വിലക്കുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താല് അവന് ഒരു കാളെക്കു അഞ്ചു കാളയെയും, ഒരു ആടിന്നു നാലു ആടിനെയും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.
ലൂക്കോസ് 19:8

1. If any man steal an ox or a sheep, and kill or sell it: he shall restore five oxen for one ox, and four sheep for one sheep.

2. കള്ളന് വീടു മുറിക്കുമ്പോള് പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു അടികൊണ്ടു മരിച്ചുപോയാല് അവനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു രക്തപാതകം ഇല്ല.

2. If a thief be found breaking open a house or undermining it, and be wounded so as to die: he that slew him shall not be guilty of blood.

3. എന്നാല് അതു നേരം വെളുത്തശേഷമാകുന്നു എങ്കില് രക്തപാതകം ഉണ്ടു. കള്ളന് ശരിയായിട്ടു പ്രതിശാന്തി ചെയ്യേണം; അവന് വകയില്ലാത്തവനെങ്കില് തന്റെ മോഷണം നിമിത്തം അവനെ വില്ക്കേണം.

3. But if he did this when the sun is risen, he hath committed murder, and he shall die. If he have not wherewith to make restitution for the theft, he shall be sold.

4. മോഷണവസ്തുവായ കാളയെയോ കഴുതയെയോ ആടിനെയോ ജീവനോടെ അവന്റെ കൈവശം കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചാല് അവന് ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

4. If that which he stole be found with him, alive, either ox, or ass, or sheep: he shall restore double.

5. ഒരുത്തന് ഒരു വയലോ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടമോ തീറ്റിക്കയാകട്ടെ തന്റെ കന്നുകാലിയെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടു അതു മറ്റൊരുത്തന്റെ വയലില് മേയുകയാകട്ടെ ചെയ്താല് അവന് തന്റെ വയലിലുള്ളതില് ഉത്തമമായതും തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലുള്ളതില് ഉത്തമമായതും പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

5. If any man hurt a field or a vineyard, and put in his beast to feed upon that which is other men's: he shall restore the best of whatsoever he hath in his own field, or in his vineyard, according to the estimation of the damage.

6. തീ വീണു കാടു കത്തീട്ടു കറ്റക്കൂട്ടമോ വിളവോ നിലമോ വെന്തുപോയെങ്കില് തീ കത്തിച്ചവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

6. If a fire breaking out light upon thorns, and catch stacks of corn, or corn standing in the fields, he that kindled the fire shall make good the loss.

7. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടകാരന്റെ പറ്റില് പണമോ വല്ല സാധനമോ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു അവന്റെ വീട്ടില്നിന്നു കളവുപോയാല് കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടി എന്നുവരികില് അവന് ഇരട്ടിപകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

7. If a man deliver money, or any vessel unto his friend to keep, and they be stolen away from him that received them: if the thief be found he shall restore double:

8. കള്ളനെ പിടികിട്ടാതിരുന്നാല് ആ വീട്ടുകാരന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേല് കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു അറിവാന് അവനെ ദൈവ സന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുപോകേണം.

8. If the thief be not known, the master of the house shall be brought to the gods, and shall swear that he did not lay his hand upon his neighbour's goods,

9. കാണാതെപോയ കാള, കഴുത, ആടു, വസ്ത്രം മുതലായ യാതൊന്നിനെയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഇതു എനിക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു ഒരുവന് പറഞ്ഞു കുറ്റം ചുമത്തിയാല് ഇരുപാട്ടുകാരുടെയും കാര്യം ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് വരേണം; കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്നു ദൈവം വിധിക്കുന്നവന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു ഇരട്ടി പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

9. To do any fraud, either in ox, or in ass, or sheep, or raiment, or any thing that may bring damage: the cause of both parties shall come to the gods: and if they give judgment, he shall restore double to his neighbour.

10. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ പക്കല് കഴുത, കാള, ആടു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഒരു മൃഗത്തെ സൂക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കെ അതു ചത്തുപോകയോ അതിന്നു വല്ല കേടു തട്ടുകയോ ആരും കാണാതെ കളവുപോകയോ ചെയ്താല്

10. If a man deliver ass, ox, sheep, or any beast, to his neighbour's custody, and it die, or be hurt, or be taken by enemies, and no man saw it:

11. കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്തുവിന്മേല് അവന് കൈ വെച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയെക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള സത്യം ഇരുപാട്ടുകാര്ക്കും തീര്ച്ച ആയിരിക്കേണം; ഉടമസ്ഥന് അതു സമ്മതിക്കേണം; മറ്റവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.
എബ്രായർ 6:16

11. There shall be an oath between them, that he did not put forth his hand to his neighbour's goods: and the owner shall accept of the oath; and he shall not be compelled to make restitution.

12. എന്നാല് അതു അവന്റെ പക്കല് നിന്നു കളവുപോയി എന്നു വരികില് അവന് അതിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥന്നു പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

12. But if it were taken away by stealth, he shall make the loss good to the owner.

13. അതു കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയെങ്കില് അവന് അതിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; കടിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയതിന്നു അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.

13. If it were eaten by a beast, let him bring to him that which was slain, and he shall not make restitution.

14. ഒരുത്തന് കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വായ്പ വാങ്ങീട്ടു ഉടമസ്ഥന് അരികെ ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ വല്ല കേടു ഭവിക്കയോ ചത്തുപോകയോ ചെയ്താല് അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണം.

14. If a man borrow of his neighbour any of these things, and it be hurt or die, the owner not being present, he shall be obliged to make restitution.

15. ഉടമസ്ഥന് അരികെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നാല് അവന് പകരം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ; അതു കൂലിക്കു വാങ്ങിയതെങ്കില് അതിന്നു കൂലിയുണ്ടല്ലോ.

15. But if the owner be present, he shall not make restitution, especially if it were hired and came for the hire of his work.

16. വിവാഹത്തിന്നു നിയമിക്കപ്പെടാത്ത ഒരു കന്യകയെ ഒരുത്തന് വശീകരിച്ചു അവളോടു കൂടെ ശയിച്ചാല് അവന് സ്ത്രീധനം കൊടുത്തു അവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കേണം.

16. If a man seduce a virgin not yet espoused, and lie with her: he shall endow her, and have her to wife.

17. അവളെ അവന്നു കൊടുപ്പാന് അവളുടെ അപ്പന്നു അശേഷം മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കില് അവന് കന്യകമാരുടെ സ്ത്രീധനത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം പണം കൊടുക്കേണം.

17. If the maid's father will not give her to him, he shall give money according to the dowry, which virgins are wont to receive.

18. ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരത്തിയെ നീ ജീവനോടെ വെക്കരുതു.

18. Wizards thou shalt not suffer to live.

19. മൃഗത്തോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

19. Whosoever copulateth with a beast shall be put to death.

20. യഹോവേക്കു മാത്രമല്ലാതെ വേറെ ദൈവങ്ങള്ക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നവനെ നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കേണം.

20. He that sacrificeth to gods, shall be put to death, save only to the Lord.

21. പരദേശിയെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുതു ഉപദ്രവിക്കയുമരുതു; നിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തു പരദേശികള് ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

21. Thou shalt not molest a stranger, nor afflict him: for yourselves also were strangers in the land of Egypt.

22. വിധവയെയും അനാഥനെയും നിങ്ങള് ക്ളേശിപ്പിക്കരുതു.

22. You shall not hurt a widow or an orphan.

23. അവരെ വല്ലപ്രകാരത്തിലും ക്ളേശിപ്പിക്കയും അവര് എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് ഞാന് അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേള്ക്കും;

23. If you hurt them they will cry out to me, and I will hear their cry:

24. എന്റെ കോപവും ജ്വലിക്കും; ഞാന് വാള്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ത്രീകള് വിധവമാരും നിങ്ങളുടെ പൈതങ്ങള് അനാഥരുമായി തീരും.

24. And my rage shall be enkindled, and I will strike you with the sword, and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

25. എന്റെ ജനത്തില് നിന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള ഒരു ദരിദ്രന്നു പണം വായ്പ കൊടുത്താല് പൊലികടക്കാരനെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കരുതു; അവനോടു പലിശ വാങ്ങുകയും അരുതു.

25. If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor, that dwelleth with thee, thou shalt not be hard upon them as an extortioner, nor oppress them with usuries.

26. നീ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പണയം വാങ്ങിയാല് സൂര്യന് അസ്തമിക്കുംമുമ്പെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

26. If thou take of thy neighbour a garment in pledge, thou shalt give it him again before sunset.

27. അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ പുതപ്പു; അതുമാത്രമല്ലോ അവന്റെ ശരീരം മൂടുന്ന വസ്ത്രം; അവന് പിന്നെ എന്തൊന്നു പുതെച്ചു കിടക്കും? അവന് എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് കേള്ക്കും; ഞാന് കൃപയുള്ളവനല്ലോ.

27. For that same is the only thing wherewith he is covered, the clothing of his body, neither hath he any other to sleep in: if he cry to me, I will hear him, because I am compassionate.

28. നീ ദൈവത്തെ ദുഷിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അധിപതിയെ ശപിക്കയുമരുതു.

28. Thou shalt not speak ill of the gods, and the prince of thy people thou shalt not curse.

29. നിന്റെ വിളവും ദ്രാവകവര്ഗ്ഗവും അര്പ്പിപ്പാന് താമസിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരില് ആദ്യജാതനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം.

29. Thou shalt not delay to pay thy tithes and thy firstfruits: thou shalt give the firstborn of thy sons to me.

30. നിന്റെ കാളകളിലും ആടുകളിലും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; അതു ഏഴു ദിവസം തള്ളയോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; എട്ടാം ദിവസം അതിനെ എനിക്കു തരേണം.

30. Thou shalt do the same with the firstborn of thy oxen also and sheep: seven days let it be with its dam, the eighth day thou shalt give it to me.

31. നിങ്ങള് എനിക്കു വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; കാട്ടുമൃഗം കടിച്ചുകീറിയ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു. നിങ്ങള് അതിനെ നായ്ക്കള്ക്കു ഇട്ടുകളയേണം.

31. You shall be holy men to me: the flesh that beasts have tasted of before, you shall not eat, but shall cast it to the dogs.
