1. അവന് പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടുനീയും അഹരോനും നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരില് എഴുപതുപേരും യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കല് കയറിവന്നു ദൂരത്തു നിന്നു നമസ്കരിപ്പിന് .

1. And unto Moses, he said Come up unto Yahweh thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, so shall ye bow yourselves down from afar.

2. മോശെ മാത്രം യഹോവേക്കു അടുത്തുവരട്ടെ. അവര് അടുത്തു വരരുതു; ജനം അവനോടുകൂടെ കയറി വരികയുമരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

2. And Moses alone shall draw near unto Yahweh, but, they shall not draw near, and, the people, shall not come up with him.

3. എന്നാറെ മോശെ വന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളും ന്യായങ്ങളും എല്ലാം ജനത്തെ അറിയിച്ചു. യഹോവ കല്പിച്ച സകലകാര്യങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങള് ചെയ്യും എന്നു ജനമൊക്കെയും ഏകശബ്ദത്തോടെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

3. So Moses came, and recounted to the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the regulations, and all the people responded with one voice and said, All the words which Yahweh hath spoken, will we do.

4. മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും എഴുതി അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ അടിവാരത്തു ഒരു യാഗപീഠവും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യക്കൊത്തവണം പന്ത്രണ്ടു തൂണും പണിതു.

4. Then wrote Moses all the words of Yahweh, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar, under the mountain, and twelve pillars, for the twelve tribes of Israel:

5. പിന്നെ അവര് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളില് ചില ബാല്യക്കാരെ അയച്ചു; അവര് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിച്ചു യഹോവേക്കു സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളായി കാളകളെയും അര്പ്പിച്ചു.

5. and he sent young men of the sons of Israel, and they caused to go up, ascending-sacrifices, and slew peace-offerings to Yahweh, of oxen.

6. മോശെ രക്തത്തില് പാതി എടുത്തു പാത്രങ്ങളില് ഒഴിച്ചു; രക്തത്തില് പാതി യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് തളിച്ചു.

6. Then took Moses half of the blood, and put it in basins, and half of the blood, dashed he over the altar:

7. അവന് നിയമപുസ്തകം എടുത്തു ജനം കേള്ക്കെ വായിച്ചു. യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങള് അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുമെന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

7. then took he the book of the covenant, and read in the ears of the people. And they said, All that Yahweh hath spoken, will we do, and will hearken,

8. അപ്പോള് മോശെ രക്തം എടുത്തു ജനത്തിന്മേല് തളിച്ചു; ഈ സകലവചനങ്ങളും ആധാരമാക്കി യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്റെ രക്തം ഇതാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. Then Moses took the blood, and dashed over the people, and said, Lo! the blood of the covenant which Yahweh hath solemnised with you, over all these words.

9. അനന്തരം മോശെയും അഹരോനും നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും യിസ്രായേല്മൂപ്പന്മാരില് എഴുപതുപേരുംകൂടെ കയറിച്ചെന്നു.

9. Then went up Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel;

10. അവര് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ കണ്ടു; അവന്റെ പാദങ്ങള്ക്കു കീഴെ നീലക്കല്ലു പടുത്ത തളംപോലെയും ആകാശത്തിന്റെ സ്വച്ഛതപോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

10. and they saw the God of Israel, and under his feet, like a pavement of sapphire, and like the very heavens for brightness; and

11. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പ്രമാണികള്ക്കു തൃക്കയ്യാല് ഒന്നും ഭവിച്ചില്ല; അവര് ദൈവത്തെ കണ്ടു ഭക്ഷണ പാനീയങ്ങള് കഴിച്ചു.

11. against the nobles of the sons of Israel, put he not forth his hand, so then they had vision of God, and did eat and drink,

12. പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടുനീ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് പര്വ്വതത്തില് കയറിവന്നു അവിടെ ഇരിക്ക; ഞാന് നിനക്കു കല്പലകകളും നീ അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് എഴുതിയ ന്യായപ്രമാണവും കല്പനകളും തരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

12. Then said Yahweh unto Moses Come thou up unto me in the mountain and remain thou there, for I must give thee tables of stone and the law and the commandment, which I have written to direct them.

13. അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും അവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരനായ യോശുവയും എഴുന്നേറ്റു, മോശെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പര്വ്വത്തില് കയറി.

13. And Moses rose up, and Joshua his attendant, and Moses went up into the mountain of God;

14. അവന് മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് മടങ്ങിവരുവോളം ഇവിടെ താമസിപ്പിന് ; അഹരോനും ഹൂരും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും വല്ല കാര്യവുമുണ്ടായാല് അവന് അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. but, unto the elders, he said Tarry for us here, until we return unto you. And lo! Aaron and Hur, are with you, he that hath a cause, let him draw near unto them.

15. അങ്ങനെ മോശെ പര്വ്വതത്തില് കയറിപ്പോയി; ഒരു മേഘം പര്വ്വതത്തെ മൂടി.

15. So then Moses wont up into the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

16. യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സും സീനായി പര്വ്വതത്തില് ആവസിച്ചു. മേഘം ആറു ദിവസം അതിനെ മൂടിയിരുന്നു; അവന് ഏഴാം ദിവസം മേഘത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് നിന്നു മോശെയെ വിളിച്ചു.

16. And the glory of Yahweh rested upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days, then called he unto Moses on the seventh day, out of the midst of the cloud.

17. യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സിന്റെ കാഴ്ച പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ മുകളില് കത്തുന്ന തീപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു തോന്നി.

17. And the appearance of the glory of Yahweh was like a consuming fire h on the top of the mountain, in the sight of the sons of Israel.

18. മോശെയോ മേഘത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് പര്വ്വതത്തില് കയറി. മോശ നാല്പതു പകലും നാല്പതു രാവും പര്വ്വതത്തില് ആയിരുന്നു.

18. And Moses entered into the midst of the cloud and ascended into the mountain. And it came to pass that Moses was in the mountain forty days and forty nights.
