2. അവന് തന്റെ അധരങ്ങളാല് എന്നെ ചുംബിക്കട്ടെ; നിന്റെ പ്രേമം വീഞ്ഞിലും രസകരമാകുന്നു. നിന്റെ തൈലം സൌരഭ്യമായതു; നിന്റെ നാമം പകര്ന്ന തൈലംപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു കന്യകമാര് നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

2. Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for your breasts are better than wine.

3. നിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ എന്നെ വലിക്ക; നാം ഔടിപ്പോക; രാജാവു എന്നെ പള്ളിയറകളിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നില് ഉല്ലസിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കും; നിന്റെ പ്രേമത്തെ വീഞ്ഞിനെക്കാള് ശ്ളാഘിക്കും; നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതു ഉചിതം തന്നേ.

3. And the smell of your ointments is better than all spices: your name is ointment poured forth; therefore do the young maidens love you.

4. യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിമാരേ, ഞാന് കറുത്തവള് എങ്കിലും കേദാര്യകൂടാരങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയും ശലോമോന്റെ തിരശ്ശീലകളെപ്പോലെയും അഴകുള്ളവള് ആകുന്നു.

4. They have drawn you: we will run after you, for the smell of your ointments: the king has brought me into his closet: let us rejoice and be glad in you; we will love your breasts more than wine: righteousness loves you.

5. എനിക്കു ഇരുള്നിറം പറ്റിയിരിക്കയാലും ഞാന് വെയില്കൊണ്ടു കറുത്തിരിക്കയാലും എന്നെ തുറിച്ചുനോക്കരുതു. എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ പുത്രന്മാര് എന്നോടു കോപിച്ചു. എന്നെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കു കാവലാക്കി; എന്റെ സ്വന്ത മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഞാന് കാത്തിട്ടില്ലതാനും.

5. I am dark, but beautiful, you daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.

6. എന്റെ പ്രാണപ്രിയനേ, പറഞ്ഞുതരികനീ ആടുകളെ മേയിക്കുന്നതു എവിടെ? ഉച്ചെക്കു കിടത്തുന്നതു എവിടെ? നിന്റെ ചങ്ങാതിമാരുടെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കരികെ ഞാന് മുഖം മൂടിയവളെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?

6. Look not upon me, because I am dark, because the sun has looked unfavorably upon me: my mother's sons strove with me; they made me keeper in the vineyards; I have not kept my own vineyard.

7. സ്ത്രീകളില് അതിസുന്ദരിയേ, നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് ആടുകളുടെ കാല്ചുവടു തുടര്ന്നുചെന്നു ഇടയന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളുടെ അരികെ നിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ മേയിക്ക.

7. Tell me, [you] whom my soul loves, where you tend your flock, where you cause [them] to rest at noon, lest I become as one that is veiled by the flocks of your companions.

8. If you know not yourself, you fair one among women, go forth by the footsteps of the flocks, and feed your little goats by the shepherd's tents.

9. നിന്റെ കവിള്ത്തടങ്ങള് രത്നാവലികൊണ്ടും നിന്റെ കഴുത്തു മുത്തുമാലകൊണ്ടും ശോഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. I have likened you, my companion, to my horses in the chariots of Pharaoh.

10. ഞങ്ങള് നിനക്കു വെള്ളിമണികളോടുകൂടിയ സുവര്ണ്ണസരപ്പളി ഉണ്ടാക്കിത്തരാം.

10. How beautiful are your cheeks, as those of a dove, your neck as chains!

11. രാജാവു ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോള് എന്റെ ജടാമാംസി സുഗന്ധം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു.

11. We will make you figures of gold with studs of silver.

12. എന്റെ പ്രിയന് എനിക്കു സ്തനങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്ന മൂറിന് കെട്ടുപോലെയാകുന്നു.

12. So long as the king was at table, my spikenard gave forth its smell.

13. എന്റെ പ്രിയന് എനിക്കു ഏന് ഗെദി മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിലെ മയിലാഞ്ചിപ്പൂകൂലപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

13. My kinsman is to me a bundle of myrrh; he shall lie between my breasts.

14. എന്റെ പ്രിയേ, നീ സുന്ദരി, നീ സുന്ദരി തന്നേ; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു പ്രാവിന്റെ കണ്ണുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

14. My kinsman is to me a cluster of camphor in the vineyards of En Gedi.

15. എന്റെ പ്രിയനേ, നീ സുന്ദരന് , നീ മനോഹരന് ; നമ്മുടെ കിടക്കയും പച്ചയാകുന്നു.

15. Behold, you are fair, my companion; behold, you are fair; your eyes are doves.

16. നമ്മുടെ വീട്ടിന്റെ ഉത്തരം ദേവദാരുവും കഴുക്കോല് സരളവൃക്ഷവും ആകുന്നു.

16. Behold, you are fair, my kinsman, yea, beautiful, overshadowing our bed.
