1. ഇപ്പോഴോ, എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യിസ്രായേലേ, കേള്ക്ക.

1. But now hear, O Jacob My servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen.

2. നിന്നെ ഉരുവാക്കിയവനും ഗര്ഭത്തില് നിന്നെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചവനും നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഎന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യെശുരൂനേ, നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

2. Thus says the Lord God that made you, and He that formed you from the womb; You shall yet be helped; fear not, My servant Jacob; and beloved Israel, whom I have chosen.

3. ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നെടത്തു ഞാന് വെള്ളവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തു നീരൊഴുക്കുകളും പകരും; നിന്റെ സന്തതിമേല് എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും നിന്റെ സന്താനത്തിന്മേല് എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തെയും പകരും.

3. For I will give water to the thirsty that walk in a dry land; I will put My Spirit upon your seed, and My blessings upon your children;

4. അവര് പുല്ലിന്റെ ഇടയില് നീര്ത്തോടുകള്ക്കരികെയുള്ള അലരികള്പോലെ മുളെച്ചുവരും.

4. and they shall spring up as grass between brooks, and as willows on [the banks of] running water.

5. ഞാന് യഹോവേക്കുള്ളവന് എന്നു ഒരുത്തന് പറയും; മറ്റൊരുത്തന് തനിക്കു യാക്കോബിന്റെ പേരെടുക്കും; വേറൊരുത്തന് തന്റെ കൈമേല്യഹോവേക്കുള്ളവന് എന്നു എഴുതി, യിസ്രായേല് എന്നു മറുപേര് എടുക്കും.

5. One shall say, I am God's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall write with his hand, I am God's, and shall call himself by the name of Israel.

6. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായ യഹോവ, അവന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ആദ്യനും അന്ത്യനും ആകുന്നു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല.

6. Thus says God the King of Israel, and the God of hosts that delivered him; I am the First and I am the Last; beside Me there is no God.

7. ഞാന് പുരാതനമായോരു ജനത്തെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതുമുതല് ഞാന് എന്നപോലെ വിളിച്ചുപറകയും പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരുക്കിവെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ആര്? സംഭവിക്കുന്നതും സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതും അവര് പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ.

7. Who is like Me? Let him stand, and call, and declare, and prepare for Me from the time that I made man forever; and let them tell you the things that are coming before they arrive.

8. നിങ്ങള് ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; പേടിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ; പണ്ടുതന്നേ ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു കേള്പ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ സാക്ഷികള് ആകുന്നു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവം ഉണ്ടോ? ഒരു പാറയും ഇല്ല; ഞാന് ഒരുത്തനെയും അറിയുന്നില്ല.

8. Hide not yourselves, nor go astray; have you not heard from the beginning, and [have] I [not] told you? You are witnesses if there is a God beside Me.

9. വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നിര്മ്മിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ശൂന്യം; അവരുടെ മനോഹരബിംബങ്ങള് ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവയുടെ സാക്ഷികളോ ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല, ഒന്നും അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല; ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നതേയുള്ള.

9. But they that framed [false gods] did not then hearken; and they that engraved [images] are all vain, performing their own desires, which shall not profit them, but they shall be ashamed

10. ഒരു ദേവനെ നിര്മ്മിക്കയോ ഒന്നിന്നും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ വാര്ക്കുംകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ആര്?

10. that form a god, and all that engrave worthless things;

11. ഇതാ അവന്റെ കൂട്ടക്കാര് എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരോ മനുഷ്യരത്രേ; അവര് എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി നില്ക്കട്ടെ; അവര് ഒരുപോലെ വിറെച്ചു ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.

11. and all by whom they were made have withered; yes, let all the deaf be gathered from [among] men, and let them stand together; and let them be ashamed and confounded together;

12. കൊല്ലന് ഉളിയെ മൂര്ച്ചയാക്കി തീക്കനലില് വേല ചെയ്തു ചുറ്റികകൊണ്ടു അടിച്ചു രൂപമാക്കി ബലമുള്ള ഭുജംകൊണ്ടു പണിതീര്ക്കുംന്നു; അവന് വിശന്നു ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം കുടിക്കാതെ തളര്ന്നുപോകുന്നു.

12. For the artificer sharpens the iron; he fashions [the idol] with an ax, and fixes it with an awl, and fashions it with the strength of his arm; and he will be hungry and weak, and will drink no water.

13. ആശാരി തോതുപിടിച്ചു ഈയക്കോല്കൊണ്ടു അടയാളമിട്ടു ചീകുളികൊണ്ടു രൂപമാക്കുകയും വൃത്തയന്ത്രംകൊണ്ടു വരെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് അതിനെ മനുഷ്യാകൃതിയിലും പുരുഷകോമളത്വത്തിലും തീര്ത്തു ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് വെക്കുന്നു.

13. The artificer, having chosen a piece of wood, marks it out with a rule, and fits it with glue, and makes it as the form of a man, and as the beauty of a man, to set it up in the house.

14. ഒരുവന് ദേവദാരുക്കളെ വെട്ടുകയും തേക്കും കരിവേലവും എടുക്കയും കാട്ടിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളില് അവയെ കണ്ടു ഉറപ്പിക്കയും ഒരു അശോകം നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിക്കയും, മഴ അതിനെ വളര്ത്തുകയു ചെയ്യുന്നു.

14. He cuts wood out of the forest, which the Lord planted, [even] a pine tree, and the rain made it grow,

15. പിന്നെ അതു മനുഷ്യന്നു തീ കത്തിപ്പാന് ഉതകുന്നു; അവന് അതില് കുറെ എടുത്തു തീ കായുകയും അതു കത്തിച്ചു അപ്പം ചുടുകയും അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ദേവനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയും ഒരു വിഗ്രഹം തീര്ത്തു അതിന്റെ മുമ്പില് സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

15. that it might be for men to burn; and having taken part of it he warms himself; yes, they burn part of it, and bake loaves on it; and [of] the rest they make for themselves gods, and they worship them.

16. അതില് ഒരംശംകൊണ്ടു അവന് തീ കത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഒരംശം കൊണ്ടു ഇറച്ചി ചുട്ടുതിന്നുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അവന് ചുട്ടുതിന്നു തൃപ്തനാകുന്നു; അവന് തീ കാഞ്ഞു; നല്ല തീ, കുളിര് മാറി എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

16. Half of it he burns in the fire, and with half of it he bakes loaves on the coals; and having roasted flesh on it he eats, and is satisfied, and having warmed himself he says, I am comfortable, for I have warmed myself, and have seen the fire.

17. അതിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു അവന് ഒരു ദേവനെ, ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ തന്നേ, ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്റെ മുമ്പില് സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിക്കയും അതിനോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുഎന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; നീ എന്റെ ദേവനല്ലോ എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

17. And the rest he makes a graven god, and worships and prays, saying, Deliver me; for you are my god.

18. അവര് അറിയുന്നില്ല, ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; കാണാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകളെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും അവന് അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. They have no understanding to perceive; for they have been blinded so that they should not see with their eyes, nor perceive with their heart.

19. ഒരുത്തനും ഹൃദയത്തില് വിചാരിക്കുന്നില്ലഒരംശം ഞാന് കത്തിച്ചു കനലില് അപ്പം ചുട്ടു ഇറച്ചിയും ചുട്ടുതിന്നു; ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ഒരു മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമോ? ഒരു മരമുട്ടിയുടെ മുമ്പില് സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുമോ! എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരുത്തന്നും അറിവും ഇല്ല, ബോധവുമില്ല.

19. And one has not considered in his mind, nor known in his understanding, that he has burned up half of it in the fire, and baked loaves on its coals and has roasted and eaten flesh, and of the rest of it he has made an abomination, and they worship it.

20. അവന് വെണ്ണീര് തിന്നുന്നു; വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെട്ട അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; അവന് തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യില് ഭോഷ്കില്ലയോ? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

20. Know that their heart is ashes, and they err, and no one is able to deliver his soul; see, you will not say, [There is a] lie in my right hand.

21. യാക്കോബേ, ഇതു ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്ക; യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ എന്റെ ദാസനല്ലോ; ഞാന് നിന്നെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചു; നീ എന്റെ ദാസന് തന്നേ; യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ മറന്നുകളകയില്ല.

21. Remember these things, O Jacob and Israel; for you are My servant; I have formed you [to be] My servant; and do not forget Me, O Israel.

22. ഞാന് കാര്മുകിലിനെപ്പോലെ നിന്റെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെയും മേഘത്തെപോലെ നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെയും മായിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. For behold, I have blotted your transgressions out as a cloud, and your sin as darkness; turn to Me, and I will redeem you.

23. ആകശമേ, ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്ക; യഹോവ ഇതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളേ, ആര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് ; പര്വ്വതങ്ങളും വനവും സകലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ആയുള്ളോവേ, പൊട്ടിയാര്ക്കുംവിന് ; യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു യിസ്രായേലില് തന്നെത്താന് മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

23. Rejoice, you heavens; for God has had mercy upon Israel; sound the trumpet, you foundations of the earth; you mountains, shout [with] joy, you hills, and all the trees therein; for God has redeemed Jacob, and Israel shall be glorified.

24. നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും ഗര്ഭത്തില് നിന്നെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയഹോവയായ ഞാന് സകലവും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് തന്നേ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കയും ഭൂമിയെ പരത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ആര് എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു?

24. Thus says the Lord that redeems you, and who formed you from the womb: I am the Lord that performs all things; I stretched out the heaven alone, and established the earth.

25. ഞാന് ജല്പകന്മാരുടെ ശകുനങ്ങളെ വ്യര്ത്ഥമാക്കുകയും പ്രശ്നക്കാരെ ഭ്രാന്തന്മാരാക്കുകയും ജ്ഞാനികളെ മടക്കി അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ ഭോഷത്വമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

25. Who else will frustrate the tokens of those that have divining spirits, and prophecies from the heart of [man]? Turning the wise back, and making their counsel foolishness;

26. ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസന്റെ വചനം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചു എന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ആലോചന അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമില് നിവാസികള് ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നും യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങള് പണിയപ്പെടും ഞാന് അവയുടെ ഇടിവുകളെ നന്നാക്കും എന്നും കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

26. and confirming the word of His servant, and verifying the counsel of His messengers; who says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited; and to the cities of Edom, You shall be built, and her desert places shall spring forth.

27. ഞാന് ആഴിയോടു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോക; നിന്റെ നദികളെ ഞാന് വറ്റിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

27. Who says to the deep, You shall be dried up, and I will dry up the rivers.

28. കോരെശ് എന്റെ ഇടയന് അവന് എന്റെ ഹിതമൊക്കെയും നിവര്ത്തിക്കും എന്നും യെരൂശലേം പണിയപ്പെടും, മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടും എന്നും ഞാന് കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

28. Who bids Cyrus, Be wise, and he shall perform all My will; who says to Jerusalem, You shall be built, and I will lay the foundation of My holy house.
