1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. The word of the Lord came to me again. He said,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ നീ പ്രവചിച്ചുപറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഅയ്യോ, കഷ്ട ദിവസം! എന്നു മുറയിടുവിന് .

2. Son of man, speak for me. Say, 'This is what the Lord God says: ''Cry and say, 'A terrible day is coming.'

3. നാള് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു! അതേ, യഹോവയുടെ നാള് അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു! അതു മേഘമുള്ള ദിവസം, ജാതികളുടെ കാലം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കും.

3. That day is near! Yes, the Lord's day for judging is near. It will be a cloudy day, the time for judging the nations.

4. മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നേരെ വാള് വരും; മിസ്രയീമില് നിഹതന്മാര് വീഴുകയും അവര് അതിലെ സമ്പത്തു അപഹരിക്കയും അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് ഇടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് കൂശില് അതിവേദനയുണ്ടാകും.

4. A sword will come against Egypt! People in Ethiopia will shake with fear, when Egypt falls. The army of Babylon will take the Egyptians as prisoners. Egypt's foundations will be torn down.

5. കൂശ്യരും പൂത്യരും ലൂദ്യരും സമ്മിശ്രജാതികളൊക്കെയും കൂബ്യരും സഖ്യതയില്പെട്ട ദേശക്കാരും അവരോടുകൂടെ വാള്കൊണ്ടു വീഴും.

5. ''Many people made peace agreements with Egypt. But all those people from Ethiopia, Put, Lud, all Arabia, Libya, and the people of Israel will be destroyed!

6. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമിസ്രയീമിനെ താങ്ങുന്നവര് വീഴും; അതിന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പ്രതാപം താണുപോകും; സെവേനേഗോപുരംമുതല് അവര് വാള്കൊണ്ടു വീഴും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

6. 'This is what the Lord God says: Those who support Egypt will fall! The pride in her power will end. The people in Egypt will be killed in battle, all the way from Migdol to Aswan. This is what the Lord God said!

7. അവര് ശൂന്യദേശങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ശൂന്യമായ്പോകും; അതിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങള് ശൂന്യപട്ടണങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ആയിരിക്കും.

7. Egypt will join the other countries that were destroyed. Its cities will be among those that are in ruins.

8. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമിന്നു തീ വെച്ചിട്ടു അതിന്റെ സഹായക്കാരൊക്കെയും തകര്ന്നുപോകുമ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവയെന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

8. I will start a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers will be destroyed. Then they will know that I am the Lord!

9. ആ നാളില് ദൂതന്മാര് നിശ്ചിന്തന്മാരായ കൂശ്യരെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു കപ്പലുകളില് കയറി എന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടും; അപ്പോള് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നാളില് എന്നപോലെ അവര്ക്കും അതിവേദന ഉണ്ടാകും; ഇതാ, അതു വരുന്നു.

9. 'At that time I will send out messengers. They will go in ships to carry the bad news to Ethiopia. Ethiopia now feels safe, but the people of Ethiopia will shake with fear when Egypt is punished. That time is coming!''

10. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ബാബേല് രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ കയ്യാല് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കും.

10. This is what the Lord God says: 'I will use the king of Babylon. I will use Nebuchadnezzar to destroy the people of Egypt.

11. ദേശത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ ജാതികളില് ഭയങ്കരന്മാരായ അവന്റെ ജനത്തെയും വരുത്തും; അവര് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നേരെ വാള് ഊരി ദേശത്തെ നിഹതന്മാരെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കും.

11. Nebuchadnezzar and his people are the most terrible of the nations, and I will bring them to destroy Egypt. They will pull out their swords against Egypt. They will fill the land with dead bodies.

12. ഞാന് നദികളെ വറ്റിച്ചു ദേശത്തെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കും വിറ്റുകളയും; ദേശത്തെയും അതിലുള്ള സകലത്തെയും ഞാന് അന്യജാതികളുടെ കയ്യാല് ശൂന്യമാക്കും; യഹോവയായ ഞാന് അതു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. I will make the Nile River become dry land. Then I will sell the dry land to evil people. I will use strangers to make that land empty. I, the Lord, have spoken!'

13. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു അവരുടെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളെ നോഫില്നിന്നു ഇല്ലാതാക്കും; ഇനി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു പ്രഭു ഉത്ഭവിക്കയില്ല; ഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ഭയം വരുത്തും.

13. This is what the Lord God says: 'I will also destroy the idols in Egypt. I will take the statues away from Memphis. There will not be a leader anymore in the land of Egypt. I will put fear there instead.

14. ഞാന് പത്രോസിനെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; സോവാന്നു തീ വേക്കും, നോവില് ന്യായവിധി നടത്തും,

14. I will make Pathros empty. I will start a fire in Zoan. I will punish Thebes.

15. മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ കോട്ടയായ സീനില് ഞാന് എന്റെ ക്രോധം പകരും; ഞാന് നോവിലെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

15. I will pour out my anger against Pelusium, the fortress of Egypt! I will destroy the people of Thebes.

16. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമിന്നു തീ വേക്കും; സീന് അതിവേദനയില് ആകും; നോവ് പിളര്ന്നുപോകും; നോഫിന്നു പകല്സമയത്തു വൈരികള് ഉണ്ടാകും.

16. I will start a fire in Egypt. The city of Pelusium will ache with fear. The soldiers will break into Thebes, and Memphis will have new troubles every day.

17. ആവെനിലെയും പി-ബേസെത്തിലെയും യൌവനക്കാര് വാള്കൊണ്ടു വീഴും; അവയോ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.

17. The young men of Heliopolis and Bubastis will die in battle, and the women will be taken away as prisoners.

18. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നുകം ഒടിച്ചു അവളുടെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പ്രതാപം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുമ്പോള് തഹഫ്നേഹെസില് പകല് ഇരുണ്ടുപോകും; അവളെയോ ഒരു മേഘം മൂടും; അവളുടെ പുത്രിമാര് പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.

18. It will be a dark day in Tahpanhes when I break Egypt's control. Her proud power will be finished! A cloud will cover Egypt, and her daughters will be taken away as prisoners.

19. ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമില് ന്യായവിധികളെ നടത്തും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

19. So I will punish Egypt. Then they will know that I am the Lord!'

20. പതിനൊന്നാമാണ്ടു, ഒന്നാം മാസം ഏഴാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

20. On the seventh day of the first month of the eleventh year of exile, the word of the Lord came to me. He said,

21. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്റെ ഭുജത്തെ ഞാന് ഒടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു വാള് പിടിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ശക്തി പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിന്നു മരുന്നുവെച്ചു കെട്ടുകയില്ല, ചികിത്സ ചെയ്കയുമില്ല.

21. 'Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. No one will wrap his arm with a bandage. It will not heal, so his arm will not be strong enough to hold a sword.'

22. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്നു വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് അവന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങളെ, ബലമുള്ളതിനെയും ഒടിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതിനെയും തന്നേ, ഒടിച്ചുകളയും; വാളിനെ ഞാന് അവന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു വീഴിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യും.

22. This is what the Lord God says: 'I am against Pharaoh, king of Egypt. I will break both his arms, the strong arm and the arm that is already broken. I will make the sword fall from his hand.

23. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചിന്നിച്ചു ദേശങ്ങളില് ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും.

23. I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations.

24. ഞാന് ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങളെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തി എന്റെ വാളിനെ അവന്റെ കയ്യില് കൊടുക്കും; ഫറവോന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങളെയോ ഞാന് ഒടിച്ചുകളയും; മുറിവേറ്റവന് ഞരങ്ങുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഞരങ്ങും.

24. I will make the arms of the king of Babylon strong. I will put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh. Then Pharaoh will cry out in pain, the kind of cry that a dying man makes.

25. ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങളെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തു; ഫറവോന്റെ ഭുജങ്ങള് വീണുപോകും; ഞാന് എന്റെ വാളിനെ ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് കൊടുത്തിട്ടു അവന് അതിനെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ഔങ്ങുമ്പോള് ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

25. So I will make the arms of the king of Babylon strong, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall. Then they will know that I am the Lord. 'I will put my sword in the hand of the king of Babylon. Then he will stretch the sword out against the land of Egypt.

26. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചിന്നിച്ചു ദേശങ്ങളില് ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും; ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

26. I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord!'
