1. അനന്തരം അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും ഔരോ ധൂപകലശം എടുത്തു അതില് തീ ഇട്ടു അതിന്മേല് ധൂപ വര്ഗ്ഗവും ഇട്ടു, അങ്ങനെ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതല്ലാത്ത അന്യാഗ്നി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

1. Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them.

2. ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്നിന്നു തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവര് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് മരിച്ചുപോയി.

2. So fire went out from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3. അപ്പോള് മോശെഎന്നോടു അടുക്കുന്നവരില് ഞാന് ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടും; സര്വ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പാകെ ഞാന് മഹത്വപ്പെടും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇതു തന്നേ എന്നു അഹരോനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അഹരോനോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

3. And Moses said to Aaron, 'This is what the LORD spoke, saying: 'By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.' ' So Aaron held his peace.

4. പിന്നെ മോശെ അഹരോന്റെ ഇളയപ്പന് ഉസ്സീയേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ മീശായേലിനെയും എത്സാഫാനെയും വിളിച്ചു അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് അടുത്തുചെന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, 'Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.'

5. മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ അവര് അടുത്തു ചെന്നു അവരെ അവരുടെ അങ്കികളോടുകൂടെ പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

5. So they went near and carried them by their tunics out of the camp, as Moses had said.

6. പിന്നെ മോശെ അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും നിങ്ങള് മരിക്കാതെയും സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയും മേല് കോപം വരാതെയും ഇരിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ തലമുടി പിച്ചിപ്പറിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം കീറുകയും അരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും യഹോവ ദഹിപ്പിച്ച ദഹനംനിമിത്തം കരയട്ടെ.

6. And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons, 'Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD has kindled.

7. നിങ്ങളോ മരിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില് വീട്ടു പുറത്തു പോകരുതു; യഹോവയുടെ അഭിഷേകതൈലം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് മോശെയുടെ വചനംപോലെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

7. 'You shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die, for the anointing oil of the LORD [is] upon you.' And they did according to the word of Moses.

8. യഹോവ അഹരോനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

8. Then the LORD spoke to Aaron, saying:

9. നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും മരിച്ചു പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോള് വീഞ്ഞും മദ്യവും കുടിക്കരുതു. ഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടമായിരിക്കേണം.

9. 'Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die. [It shall be] a statute forever throughout your generations,

10. ശുദ്ധവും അശുദ്ധവും മലിനവും നിര്മ്മലവും തമ്മില് നിങ്ങള് വകതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

10. 'that you may distinguish between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean,

11. യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലപ്രമാണങ്ങളും അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ.

11. and that you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.'

12. അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള ഭോജനയാഗം നിങ്ങള് എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വെച്ചു പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്തതായി ഭക്ഷിപ്പിന് ; അതു അതിവിശുദ്ധം.

12. And Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons who were left: 'Take the grain offering that remains of the offerings made by fire to the LORD, and eat it without leaven beside the altar; for it [is] most holy.

13. അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണം; യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളില് അതു നിനക്കുള്ള അവകാശവും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കുംള്ള അവകാശവും ആകുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. 'You shall eat it in a holy place, because it [is] your due and your sons' due, of the sacrifices made by fire to the LORD; for so I have been commanded.

14. നിരാജനത്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചും ഉദര്ച്ചയുടെ കൈക്കുറകും നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും വെടിപ്പുള്ളോരു സ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു തിന്നേണം; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളില് അവ നിനക്കുള്ള അവകാശവും നിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കുള്ള അവകാശവുമായി നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. 'The breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering you shall eat in a clean place, you, your sons, and your daughters with you; for [they are] your due and your sons' due, [which] are given from the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel.

15. മേദസ്സിന്റെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ അവര് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീരാജനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ഉദര്ച്ചയുടെ കൈക്കുറകും നീരാജനത്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചുംകൊണ്ടു വരേണം; അതു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി നിനക്കും നിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കും ഇരിക്കേണം.

15. 'The thigh of the heave offering and the breast of the wave offering they shall bring with the offerings of fat made by fire, to offer [as] a wave offering before the LORD. And it shall be yours and your sons' with you, by a statute forever, as the LORD has commanded.'

16. പിന്നെ പാപയാഗമായ കോലാടിനെക്കുറിച്ചു മോശെ താല്പര്യമായി അന്വേഷിച്ചു; എന്നാല് അതു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; അപ്പോള് അവന് അഹരോന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും കോപിച്ചു

16. Then Moses made careful inquiry about the goat of the sin offering, and there it was -- burned up. And he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron [who were] left, saying,

17. പാപയാഗം അതിവിശുദ്ധവും സഭയുടെ അകൃത്യം നീക്കിക്കളവാനും അവര്ക്കുംവേണ്ടി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നതുമായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങള് അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു?

17. 'Why have you not eaten the sin offering in a holy place, since it [is] most holy, and [God] has given it to you to bear the guilt of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD?

18. അതിന്റെ രക്തം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നകത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ഞാന് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചതു പോലെ നിങ്ങള് അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. 'See! Its blood was not brought inside the holy [place;] indeed you should have eaten it in a holy [place,] as I commanded.'

19. അപ്പോള് അഹരോന് മോശെയോടുഇന്നു അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാപയാഗവും ഹോമയാഗവും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് അര്പ്പിച്ചു; എനിക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചുവല്ലോ. ഇന്നു ഞാന് പാപയാഗം ഭക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കില് അതു യഹോവേക്കു പ്രസാദമായിരിക്കുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. And Aaron said to Moses, 'Look, this day they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD, and such things have befallen me! [If] I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD?'

20. ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോള് മോശെക്കു ബോധിച്ചു.

20. So when Moses heard [that,] he was content.
