1. അനന്തരം അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും ഔരോ ധൂപകലശം എടുത്തു അതില് തീ ഇട്ടു അതിന്മേല് ധൂപ വര്ഗ്ഗവും ഇട്ടു, അങ്ങനെ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതല്ലാത്ത അന്യാഗ്നി യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

1. And whanne Nadab and Abyu, the sones of Aaron, hadden take censeris, thei puttiden fier and encense aboue, and offriden bifor the Lord alien fier, which thing was not comaundid to hem.

2. ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്നിന്നു തീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവര് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് മരിച്ചുപോയി.

2. And fier yede out fro the Lord, and deuouride hem, and thei weren deed bifor the Lord.

3. അപ്പോള് മോശെഎന്നോടു അടുക്കുന്നവരില് ഞാന് ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടും; സര്വ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പാകെ ഞാന് മഹത്വപ്പെടും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇതു തന്നേ എന്നു അഹരോനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അഹരോനോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

6. പിന്നെ മോശെ അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും നിങ്ങള് മരിക്കാതെയും സര്വ്വസഭയുടെയും മേല് കോപം വരാതെയും ഇരിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ തലമുടി പിച്ചിപ്പറിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം കീറുകയും അരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും യഹോവ ദഹിപ്പിച്ച ദഹനംനിമിത്തം കരയട്ടെ.

7. നിങ്ങളോ മരിച്ചുപോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില് വീട്ടു പുറത്തു പോകരുതു; യഹോവയുടെ അഭിഷേകതൈലം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് മോശെയുടെ വചനംപോലെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

8. യഹോവ അഹരോനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

8. Also the Lord seide to Aaron,

9. നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും മരിച്ചു പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോള് വീഞ്ഞും മദ്യവും കുടിക്കരുതു. ഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടമായിരിക്കേണം.

9. Thou and thi sones schulen not drynke wyn, and al thing that may make drunkun, whanne ye schulen entre in to the tabernacle of witnessing, lest ye dien; for it is euerlastynge comaundement in to youre generaciouns,

10. ശുദ്ധവും അശുദ്ധവും മലിനവും നിര്മ്മലവും തമ്മില് നിങ്ങള് വകതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

10. that ye haue kunnyng to make doom bytwixe hooli thing and vnhooli, bitwixe pollutid thing and cleene;

11. യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലപ്രമാണങ്ങളും അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്നേ.

11. and that ye teche the sones of Israel alle my lawful thingis, whiche the Lord spak to hem bi the hond of Moyses.

12. അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള ഭോജനയാഗം നിങ്ങള് എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വെച്ചു പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്തതായി ഭക്ഷിപ്പിന് ; അതു അതിവിശുദ്ധം.

12. And Moises spak to Aaron, and to Eliazar and Ythamar, hise sones, that weren residue, Take ye the sacrifice that lefte of the offryng of the Lord, and ete ye it with out sour dow, bisidis the auter, for it is hooli `of the noumbre of hooli thingis.

13. അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണം; യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളില് അതു നിനക്കുള്ള അവകാശവും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കുംള്ള അവകാശവും ആകുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. നിരാജനത്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചും ഉദര്ച്ചയുടെ കൈക്കുറകും നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും വെടിപ്പുള്ളോരു സ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു തിന്നേണം; യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളില് അവ നിനക്കുള്ള അവകാശവും നിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കുള്ള അവകാശവുമായി നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. മേദസ്സിന്റെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ അവര് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് നീരാജനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ഉദര്ച്ചയുടെ കൈക്കുറകും നീരാജനത്തിന്റെ നെഞ്ചുംകൊണ്ടു വരേണം; അതു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി നിനക്കും നിന്റെ മക്കള്ക്കും ഇരിക്കേണം.

15. for thei reiseden bifor the Lord the schuldur and brest, and the ynnere fatnessis that ben brent in the auter; and perteynen tho to thee, and to thi sones, bi euerlastynge lawe, as the Lord comaundide.

16. പിന്നെ പാപയാഗമായ കോലാടിനെക്കുറിച്ചു മോശെ താല്പര്യമായി അന്വേഷിച്ചു; എന്നാല് അതു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; അപ്പോള് അവന് അഹരോന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള പുത്രന്മാരായ എലെയാസാരോടും ഈഥാമാരോടും കോപിച്ചു

17. And he seide, Whi eten not ye the sacrifice for synne in the hooli place, which sacrifice is hooli `of the noumbre of hooli thingis, and is youun to you, that ye bere the wickydnesse of the multitude, and preye for it in the siyt of the Lord;

18. അതിന്റെ രക്തം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നകത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നില്ലല്ലോ; ഞാന് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചതു പോലെ നിങ്ങള് അതു ഒരു വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തു വെച്ചു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. moost sithen of the blood therof is not borun yn with ynne hooli thingis, and ye ouyten ete it in the seyntuarie, as it is comaundid to me?

19. അപ്പോള് അഹരോന് മോശെയോടുഇന്നു അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ പാപയാഗവും ഹോമയാഗവും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് അര്പ്പിച്ചു; എനിക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചുവല്ലോ. ഇന്നു ഞാന് പാപയാഗം ഭക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കില് അതു യഹോവേക്കു പ്രസാദമായിരിക്കുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. And Aaron answeride, Sacrifice for synne, and brent sacrifice is offrid to dai bifor the Lord; sotheli this that thou seest, bifelde to me; how myyte Y ete it, ether plese God in cerymonyes with soreuful soule?

20. ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോള് മോശെക്കു ബോധിച്ചു.

20. And whanne Moises hadde herd this, he resseyuede satisfaccioun.
