1. യഹോവ സീനായിപര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതതുശബ്ബത്തു ആചരിക്കേണം.

1. The LORD spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai:

2. ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ നിലം വിതെക്കേണം; അവ്വണ്ണം ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം വള്ളിത്തല മുറിച്ചു അനുഭവം എടുക്കേണം.

2. 'Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land I am giving you, the land will observe a Sabbath to the LORD.

3. ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തിലോ ദേശത്തിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥതയുള്ള ശബ്ബത്തായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത് ആയിരിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ നിലം വിതെക്കയും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കയും ചെയ്യരുതു.

3. You may sow your field for six years, and you may prune your vineyard and gather its produce for six years.

4. ദേശത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തില് താനേ വിളയുന്നതു നിങ്ങളുടെ ആഹാരമായിരിക്കേണം; നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ദാസന്നും ദാസിക്കും കൂലിക്കാരന്നും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശിക്കും

4. But there will be a Sabbath of complete rest for the land in the seventh year, a Sabbath to the LORD: you are not to sow your field or prune your vineyard.

5. നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലിക്കും കാട്ടുമൃഗത്തിന്നും അതിന്റെ അനുഭവം ഒക്കെയും ആഹാരമായിരിക്കേണം.

5. You are not to reap what grows by itself from your crop, or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. It must be a year of complete rest for the land.

6. പിന്നെ ഏഴു ശബ്ബത്താണ്ടായ ഏഴേഴുസംവത്സരം എണ്ണേണം; അങ്ങനെ ഏഴു സബ്ബത്താണ്ടായ നാല്പത്തൊമ്പതു സംവത്സരം കഴിയേണം.

6. [Whatever] the land [produces during] the Sabbath year can be food for you; for yourself, your male or female slave, and the hired hand or foreigner who stays with you.

7. അപ്പോള് ഏഴാം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി മഹാധ്വനികാഹളം ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണം; പാപപരിഹാരദിവസത്തില് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും കാഹളം ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണം.

7. All of its growth may serve as food for your livestock and the wild animals in your land.

8. 'You are to count seven sabbatic years, seven times seven years, so that the time period of the seven sabbatic years amounts to 49.

9. അമ്പതാം സംവത്സരം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു യോബേല് സംവത്സരമായിരിക്കേണം; അതില് നിങ്ങള് വിതെക്കയോ പടുവിളവു കൊയ്കയോ വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കാത്ത മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ പഴം പറിക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.

9. Then you are to sound a trumpet loudly in the seventh month, on the tenth [day] of the month; you will sound it throughout your land on the Day of Atonement.

10. അതു യോബേല്സംവത്സരം ആകുന്നു; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കേണം; ആയാണ്ടത്തെ അനുഭവം നിങ്ങള് വയലില് നിന്നുതന്നേ എടുത്തു തിന്നേണം.

10. You are to consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim freedom in the land for all its inhabitants. It will be your Jubilee, when each of you are to return to his property and each of you to his clan.

11. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള യോബേല് സംവത്സരത്തില് നിങ്ങള് താന്താന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം.

11. The fiftieth year will be your Jubilee; you are not to sow, reap what grows by itself, or harvest its untended vines.

12. കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു എന്തെങ്കിലും വില്ക്കയോ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു എന്തെങ്കിലും വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു.

12. It is to be holy to you because it is the Jubilee; you may [only] eat its produce [directly] from the field.

13. യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തിന്റെ പിമ്പുള്ള സംവത്സരങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യകൂ ഒത്തവണ്ണം നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വാങ്ങേണം; അനുഭവമുള്ള സംവത്സരങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന് നിനക്കു വില്ക്കേണം.

13. 'In this Year of Jubilee, each of you will return to his property.

14. സംവത്സരങ്ങള് ഏറിയിരുന്നാല് വില ഉയര്ത്തേണം; സംവത്സരങ്ങള് കുറഞ്ഞിരുന്നാല് വില താഴ്ത്തേണം; അനുഭവത്തിന്റെ കാലസംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന് നിനക്കു വിലക്കുന്നു.

14. If you make a sale to your neighbor or a purchase from him, do not cheat one another.

15. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണംഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

15. You are to make the purchase from your neighbor based on the number of years since the last Jubilee. He is to sell to you based on the number of [remaining] harvest years.

16. അതു കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ കല്പനകള് അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികള് പ്രമാണിച്ചു ആചരിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് ദേശത്തു നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കും.

16. You are to increase its price in proportion to a greater amount of years, and decrease its price in proportion to a lesser amount of years, because what he is selling to you is a number of harvests.

17. ഭൂമി അതിന്റെ ഫലം തരും; നിങ്ങള് തൃപ്തിയായി ഭക്ഷിച്ചു അതില് നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കും.

17. You are not to cheat one another, but fear your God, for I am the LORD your God.

18. എന്നാല് ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തില് ഞങ്ങള് എന്തു ഭക്ഷിക്കും? ഞങ്ങള് വിതെക്കയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ അനുഭവമെടുക്കയും ചെയ്യരുതല്ലോ എന്നു നിങ്ങള പറയുന്നുവെങ്കില്

18. 'You are to observe My statutes and ordinances and carefully observe them, so that you may live securely in the land.

19. ഞാന് ആറാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം അരുളുകയും അതു മൂന്നു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കുള്ള അനുഭവം തരികയും ചെയ്യും.

19. Then the land will yield its fruit, so that you can eat, be satisfied, and live securely in the land.

20. നിലം ജന്മം വില്ക്കരുതു; ദേശം എനിക്കുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ അടുക്കല് പരദേശികളും വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരും അത്രേ.

20. If you wonder: 'What will we eat in the seventh year if we don't sow or gather our produce?'

21. നിങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശമായ ദേശത്തൊക്കെയും നിലത്തിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു സമ്മതിക്കേണം.

21. I will appoint My blessing for you in the sixth year, so that it will produce a crop sufficient for three years.

22. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദിരദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്റെ അവകാശത്തില് ഏതാനും വിറ്റാല് അവന്റെ അടുത്ത ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരന് വന്നു സഹോദരന് വിറ്റതു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളേണം.

22. When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating from the previous harvest. You will be eating this until the ninth year when its harvest comes in.

23. എന്നാല് വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് അവന്നു ആരും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയും താന് തന്നേ വകയുള്ളവനായി വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് പ്രാപ്തനാകയും ചെയ്താല്

23. 'The land is not to be permanently sold because it is Mine, and you are only foreigners and temporary residents on My land.

24. You are to allow the redemption of any land you occupy.

25. If your brother becomes destitute and sells part of his property, his nearest relative may come and redeem what his brother has sold.

26. ഒരുത്തന് മതിലുള്ള പട്ടണത്തില് ഒരു വീടു വിറ്റാല് വിറ്റശേഷം ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകം അവന്നു അതു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളാം; വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തെ അവധി ഉണ്ടു.

26. If a man has no family redeemer, but he prospers and obtains enough to redeem his land,

27. ഒരു സംവത്സരം മുഴുവനും തികയുവോളം വീണ്ടുകൊണ്ടില്ലെങ്കില് മതിലുള്ള പട്ടണത്തിലെ വീടു, വാങ്ങിയവന്നു തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കേണം; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അതു ഒ ഴുഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.

27. he may calculate the years since its sale, repay the balance to the man he sold it to, and return to his property.

28. മതിലില്ലാത്ത ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകളോ ദേശത്തുള്ള നിലത്തിന്നു സമമായി വിചാരിക്കേണം; അവേക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു ഉണ്ടു; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അവയെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണം.

28. But if he cannot obtain enough to repay him, what he sold will remain in the possession of its purchaser until the Year of Jubilee. It is to be released at the Jubilee, so that he may return to his property.

29. എന്നാല് ലേവ്യരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവരുടെ അവകാശമായ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകളും ലേവ്യര്ക്കും എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളാം.

29. 'If a man sells a residence in a walled city, his right of redemption will last until a year has passed after its sale; his right of redemption will last a year.

30. ലേവ്യരില് ഒരുത്തന് വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുന്നു എങ്കില് വിറ്റുപോയ വീടും അവന്റെ അവകാശമായ പട്ടണവും യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണം; ലേവ്യരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകള് യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് അവര്ക്കുംള്ള അവകാശമല്ലോ.

30. If it is not redeemed by the end of a full year, then the house in the walled city is permanently transferred to its purchaser throughout his generations. It is not to be released on the Jubilee.

31. എന്നാല് അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളോടു ചേര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്ന പുല്പുറമായ ഭൂമി വില്ക്കരുതു; അതു അവര്ക്കും ശാശ്വതാവകാശം ആകുന്നു.

31. But houses in villages that have no walls around them are to be classified as open fields. The right to redeem [such] houses stays in effect, and they are to be released at the Jubilee.

32. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വെച്ചു ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയാല് നീ അവനെ താങ്ങേണം; അന്യനും പരദേശിയും എന്നപോലെ അവന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

32. 'Concerning the Levitical cities, the Levites always have the right to redeem houses in the cities they possess.

33. അവനോടു പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം; നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

33. Whatever [property] one of the Levites can redeem-- a house sold in a city they possess-- must be released at the Jubilee, because the houses in the Levitical cities are their possession among the Israelites.

34. നിന്റെ പണം പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ആഹാരം അവന്നു ലാഭത്തിന്നായി കൊടുക്കയും അരുതു.

34. The open pastureland around their cities may not be sold, for it is their permanent possession.

35. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കനാന് ദേശം തരുവാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായിരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

35. 'If your brother becomes destitute and cannot sustain himself among you, you are to support him as a foreigner or temporary resident, so that he can continue to live among you.

36. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്നെത്താന് നിനക്കു വിറ്റാല് അവനെ കൊണ്ടു അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കരുതു.

36. Do not profit or take interest from him, but fear your God and let your brother live among you.

37. You are not to lend him your silver with interest or sell [him] your food for profit.

38. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.

39. 'If your brother among you becomes destitute and sells himself to you, you must not force him to do slave labor.

40. അവനോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം.

40. Let him stay with you as a hired hand or temporary resident; he may work for you until the Year of Jubilee.

41. നിന്റെ അടിയാരും അടിയാട്ടികളും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ജാതികളില്നിന്നു ആയിരിക്കേണം; അവരില്നിന്നു അടിയാരെയും അടയാട്ടികളെയും കൊള്ളേണം.

41. Then he and his children are to be released from you, and he may return to his clan and his ancestral property.

42. അവ്വണ്ണം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്ന അന്യജാതിക്കാരുടെ മക്കളില്നിന്നും അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു ജനിപ്പിച്ചവരും നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനുമായ അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളില്നിന്നും നിങ്ങള് വാങ്ങേണം; അവര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അവകാശമായിരിക്കേണം;

42. They are not to be sold as slaves, because they are My slaves I brought out of the land of Egypt.

43. You are not to rule over them harshly but fear your God.

44. Your male and female slaves are to be from the nations around you; you may purchase male and female slaves.

45. അവന് തന്നെത്താന് വിറ്റശേഷം അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം; അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം.

45. You may also purchase them from the foreigners staying with you, or from their families living among you-- those born in your land. These may become your property.

46. You may leave them to your sons after you to inherit as property; you can make them slaves for life. But concerning your brothers, the Israelites, you must not rule over one another harshly.

47. അവന് തന്നെ വിറ്റ സംവത്സരം മുതല് യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെയുള്ള കാലക്കണകൂ തന്നെ വാങ്ങിയവനുമായി കൂട്ടിനോക്കേണം; അവന്റെ വില സംവത്സരസംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ആയിരിക്കേണം; അവന് ഒരു കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ കാലത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

47. 'If a foreigner or temporary resident [living] among you prospers, but your brother [living] near him becomes destitute and sells himself to the foreigner living among you, or to a member of the foreigner's clan,

48. സംവത്സരം ഏറെയുണ്ടെങ്കില് അതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് തന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില തനിക്കു കിട്ടിയ പണത്തില്നിന്നു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

48. he has the right of redemption after he has been sold. One of his brothers may redeem him.

49. യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെ ശേഷിക്കുന്ന സംവത്സരം കുറെ മാത്രം എങ്കില് അവനുമായി കണക്കുകൂട്ടി സംവത്സരങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം തന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

49. His uncle or cousin may redeem him, or any of his close relatives from his clan may redeem him. If he prospers, he may redeem himself.

50. അവന് ആണ്ടോടാണ്ടു കൂലിക്കാരന് എന്നപോലെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കേണം; നീ കാണ്കെ അവന് അവനോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു.

50. The one who purchased him is to calculate [the time] from the year he sold himself to him until the Year of Jubilee. The price of his sale will be [determined] by the number of years. It will be [set] for him like the daily wages of a hired hand.

51. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടാതെയിരുന്നാല് അവനും അവനോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ മക്കളും യോബേല് സംവത്സരത്തില് പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകേണം.

51. If many years are still left, he must pay his redemption price in proportion to them based on his purchase price.

52. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് എനിക്കു ദാസന്മാര് ആകുന്നു; അവര് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഞാന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന എന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

52. If only a few years remain until the Year of Jubilee, he will calculate and pay the price of his redemption in proportion to his [remaining] years.
