1. യഹോവ സീനായിപര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതതുശബ്ബത്തു ആചരിക്കേണം.

1. The LORD spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai, saying:

2. ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ നിലം വിതെക്കേണം; അവ്വണ്ണം ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം വള്ളിത്തല മുറിച്ചു അനുഭവം എടുക്കേണം.

2. Speak to the people of Israel and say to them: When you enter the land that I am giving you, the land shall observe a sabbath for the LORD.

3. ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തിലോ ദേശത്തിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥതയുള്ള ശബ്ബത്തായ യഹോവയുടെ ശബ്ബത്ത് ആയിരിക്കേണം; നിന്റെ നിലം വിതെക്കയും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കയും ചെയ്യരുതു.

3. Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in their yield;

4. ദേശത്തിന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തില് താനേ വിളയുന്നതു നിങ്ങളുടെ ആഹാരമായിരിക്കേണം; നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ദാസന്നും ദാസിക്കും കൂലിക്കാരന്നും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശിക്കും

4. but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of complete rest for the land, a sabbath for the LORD: you shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

5. നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലിക്കും കാട്ടുമൃഗത്തിന്നും അതിന്റെ അനുഭവം ഒക്കെയും ആഹാരമായിരിക്കേണം.

5. You shall not reap the aftergrowth of your harvest or gather the grapes of your unpruned vine: it shall be a year of complete rest for the land.

6. പിന്നെ ഏഴു ശബ്ബത്താണ്ടായ ഏഴേഴുസംവത്സരം എണ്ണേണം; അങ്ങനെ ഏഴു സബ്ബത്താണ്ടായ നാല്പത്തൊമ്പതു സംവത്സരം കഴിയേണം.

6. You may eat what the land yields during its sabbath-- you, your male and female slaves, your hired and your bound laborers who live with you;

7. അപ്പോള് ഏഴാം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി മഹാധ്വനികാഹളം ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണം; പാപപരിഹാരദിവസത്തില് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും കാഹളം ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണം.

7. for your livestock also, and for the wild animals in your land all its yield shall be for food.

8. അമ്പതാം സംവത്സരത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു ദേശത്തെല്ലാടവും സകലനിവാസികള്ക്കും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കേണം; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു യോബേല്സംവത്സരമായിരിക്കേണംനിങ്ങള് താന്താന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം; ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലേക്കും മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം.

8. You shall count off seven weeks of years, seven times seven years, so that the period of seven weeks of years gives forty-nine years.

9. അമ്പതാം സംവത്സരം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു യോബേല് സംവത്സരമായിരിക്കേണം; അതില് നിങ്ങള് വിതെക്കയോ പടുവിളവു കൊയ്കയോ വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കാത്ത മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ പഴം പറിക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.

9. Then you shall have the trumpet sounded loud; on the tenth day of the seventh month-- on the day of atonement-- you shall have the trumpet sounded throughout all your land.

10. അതു യോബേല്സംവത്സരം ആകുന്നു; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കേണം; ആയാണ്ടത്തെ അനുഭവം നിങ്ങള് വയലില് നിന്നുതന്നേ എടുത്തു തിന്നേണം.

10. And you shall hallow the fiftieth year and you shall proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you: you shall return, every one of you, to your property and every one of you to your family.

11. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള യോബേല് സംവത്സരത്തില് നിങ്ങള് താന്താന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം.

11. That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you: you shall not sow, or reap the aftergrowth, or harvest the unpruned vines.

12. കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു എന്തെങ്കിലും വില്ക്കയോ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു എന്തെങ്കിലും വാങ്ങുകയോ ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു.

12. For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you: you shall eat only what the field itself produces.

13. യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തിന്റെ പിമ്പുള്ള സംവത്സരങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യകൂ ഒത്തവണ്ണം നിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വാങ്ങേണം; അനുഭവമുള്ള സംവത്സരങ്ങളുടെ സംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന് നിനക്കു വില്ക്കേണം.

13. In this year of jubilee you shall return, every one of you, to your property.

14. സംവത്സരങ്ങള് ഏറിയിരുന്നാല് വില ഉയര്ത്തേണം; സംവത്സരങ്ങള് കുറഞ്ഞിരുന്നാല് വില താഴ്ത്തേണം; അനുഭവത്തിന്റെ കാലസംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന് നിനക്കു വിലക്കുന്നു.

14. When you make a sale to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor, you shall not cheat one another.

15. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് അന്യായം ചെയ്യരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണംഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

15. When you buy from your neighbor, you shall pay only for the number of years since the jubilee; the seller shall charge you only for the remaining crop years.

16. അതു കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ കല്പനകള് അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികള് പ്രമാണിച്ചു ആചരിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് ദേശത്തു നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കും.

16. If the years are more, you shall increase the price, and if the years are fewer, you shall diminish the price; for it is a certain number of harvests that are being sold to you.

17. ഭൂമി അതിന്റെ ഫലം തരും; നിങ്ങള് തൃപ്തിയായി ഭക്ഷിച്ചു അതില് നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കും.

17. You shall not cheat one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.

18. എന്നാല് ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തില് ഞങ്ങള് എന്തു ഭക്ഷിക്കും? ഞങ്ങള് വിതെക്കയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ അനുഭവമെടുക്കയും ചെയ്യരുതല്ലോ എന്നു നിങ്ങള പറയുന്നുവെങ്കില്

18. You shall observe my statutes and faithfully keep my ordinances, so that you may live on the land securely.

19. ഞാന് ആറാം സംവത്സരത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹം അരുളുകയും അതു മൂന്നു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കുള്ള അനുഭവം തരികയും ചെയ്യും.

19. The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and live on it securely.

20. നിലം ജന്മം വില്ക്കരുതു; ദേശം എനിക്കുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ അടുക്കല് പരദേശികളും വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്നവരും അത്രേ.

20. Should you ask, What shall we eat in the seventh year, if we may not sow or gather in our crop?

21. നിങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശമായ ദേശത്തൊക്കെയും നിലത്തിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു സമ്മതിക്കേണം.

21. I will order my blessing for you in the sixth year, so that it will yield a crop for three years.

22. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദിരദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്റെ അവകാശത്തില് ഏതാനും വിറ്റാല് അവന്റെ അടുത്ത ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരന് വന്നു സഹോദരന് വിറ്റതു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളേണം.

22. When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating from the old crop; until the ninth year, when its produce comes in, you shall eat the old.

23. എന്നാല് വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് അവന്നു ആരും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കയും താന് തന്നേ വകയുള്ളവനായി വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് പ്രാപ്തനാകയും ചെയ്താല്

23. The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; with me you are but aliens and tenants.

24. അവന് അതു വിറ്റശേഷമുള്ള സംവത്സരം കണക്കുകൂട്ടി മിച്ചമുള്ളതു അതു വാങ്ങിയിരുന്ന ആള്ക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു തന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരേണം.

24. Throughout the land that you hold, you shall provide for the redemption of the land.

25. എന്നാല് മടക്കിക്കൊടുപ്പാന് അവന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയില്ല എങ്കില് വിറ്റുപോയ യോബേല് സംവത്സരംവരെ വാങ്ങിയവന്റെ കയ്യില് ഇരിക്കേണം; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അതു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കയും അവന് തന്റെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരികയും വേണം.

25. If anyone of your kin falls into difficulty and sells a piece of property, then the next of kin shall come and redeem what the relative has sold.

26. ഒരുത്തന് മതിലുള്ള പട്ടണത്തില് ഒരു വീടു വിറ്റാല് വിറ്റശേഷം ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകം അവന്നു അതു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളാം; വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുവാന് ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തെ അവധി ഉണ്ടു.

26. If the person has no one to redeem it, but then prospers and finds sufficient means to do so,

27. ഒരു സംവത്സരം മുഴുവനും തികയുവോളം വീണ്ടുകൊണ്ടില്ലെങ്കില് മതിലുള്ള പട്ടണത്തിലെ വീടു, വാങ്ങിയവന്നു തലമുറതലമുറയായി എന്നും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കേണം; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അതു ഒ ഴുഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടാ.

27. the years since its sale shall be computed and the difference shall be refunded to the person to whom it was sold, and the property shall be returned.

28. മതിലില്ലാത്ത ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകളോ ദേശത്തുള്ള നിലത്തിന്നു സമമായി വിചാരിക്കേണം; അവേക്കു വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു ഉണ്ടു; യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് അവയെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണം.

28. But if there is not sufficient means to recover it, what was sold shall remain with the purchaser until the year of jubilee; in the jubilee it shall be released, and the property shall be returned.

29. എന്നാല് ലേവ്യരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവരുടെ അവകാശമായ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകളും ലേവ്യര്ക്കും എപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളാം.

29. If anyone sells a dwelling house in a walled city, it may be redeemed until a year has elapsed since its sale; the right of redemption shall be one year.

30. ലേവ്യരില് ഒരുത്തന് വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുന്നു എങ്കില് വിറ്റുപോയ വീടും അവന്റെ അവകാശമായ പട്ടണവും യോബേല്സംവത്സരത്തില് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കേണം; ലേവ്യരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലെ വീടുകള് യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് അവര്ക്കുംള്ള അവകാശമല്ലോ.

30. If it is not redeemed before a full year has elapsed, a house that is in a walled city shall pass in perpetuity to the purchaser, throughout the generations; it shall not be released in the jubilee.

31. എന്നാല് അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളോടു ചേര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്ന പുല്പുറമായ ഭൂമി വില്ക്കരുതു; അതു അവര്ക്കും ശാശ്വതാവകാശം ആകുന്നു.

31. But houses in villages that have no walls around them shall be classed as open country; they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the jubilee.

32. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വെച്ചു ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയാല് നീ അവനെ താങ്ങേണം; അന്യനും പരദേശിയും എന്നപോലെ അവന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

32. As for the cities of the Levites, the Levites shall forever have the right of redemption of the houses in the cities belonging to them.

33. അവനോടു പലിശയും ലാഭവും വാങ്ങരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം; നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

33. Such property as may be redeemed from the Levites-- houses sold in a city belonging to them-- shall be released in the jubilee; because the houses in the cities of the Levites are their possession among the people of Israel.

34. നിന്റെ പണം പലിശെക്കു കൊടുക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ആഹാരം അവന്നു ലാഭത്തിന്നായി കൊടുക്കയും അരുതു.

34. But the open land around their cities may not be sold; for that is their possession for all time.

35. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കനാന് ദേശം തരുവാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായിരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

35. If any of your kin fall into difficulty and become dependent on you, you shall support them; they shall live with you as though resident aliens.

36. നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്നെത്താന് നിനക്കു വിറ്റാല് അവനെ കൊണ്ടു അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കരുതു.

36. Do not take interest in advance or otherwise make a profit from them, but fear your God; let them live with you.

37. കൂലിക്കാരന് എന്നപോലെയും വന്നുപാര്ക്കുംന്നവന് എന്നപോലെയും അവന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരുന്നു യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെ നിന്നെ സേവിക്കേണം.

37. You shall not lend them your money at interest taken in advance, or provide them food at a profit.

38. പിന്നെ അവന് തന്റെ മക്കളുമായി നിന്നെ വിട്ടുതന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം; തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അവകാശത്തിലേക്കു അവന് മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണം.

38. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, to be your God.

39. അവര് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഞാന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന എന്റെ ദാസന്മാര് ആകകൊണ്ടു അവരെ അടിമകളായി വില്ക്കരുതു.

39. If any who are dependent on you become so impoverished that they sell themselves to you, you shall not make them serve as slaves.

40. അവനോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടേണം.

40. They shall remain with you as hired or bound laborers. They shall serve with you until the year of the jubilee.

41. നിന്റെ അടിയാരും അടിയാട്ടികളും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ജാതികളില്നിന്നു ആയിരിക്കേണം; അവരില്നിന്നു അടിയാരെയും അടയാട്ടികളെയും കൊള്ളേണം.

41. Then they and their children with them shall be free from your authority; they shall go back to their own family and return to their ancestral property.

42. അവ്വണ്ണം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വന്നു പാര്ക്കുംന്ന അന്യജാതിക്കാരുടെ മക്കളില്നിന്നും അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു ജനിപ്പിച്ചവരും നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനുമായ അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളില്നിന്നും നിങ്ങള് വാങ്ങേണം; അവര് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അവകാശമായിരിക്കേണം;

42. For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves are sold.

43. You shall not rule over them with harshness, but shall fear your God.

44. നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുള്ള പരദേശിയോ അന്യനോ സമ്പന്നനാകയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കലുള്ള നിന്റെ സഹോദരന് ദരിദ്രനായ്തീര്ന്നു തന്നെത്താന് അന്യന്നോ പരദേശിക്കോ അന്യന്റെ സന്തതിക്കോ വില്ക്കയും ചെയ്താല്

44. As for the male and female slaves whom you may have, it is from the nations around you that you may acquire male and female slaves.

45. അവന് തന്നെത്താന് വിറ്റശേഷം അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം; അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം.

45. You may also acquire them from among the aliens residing with you, and from their families that are with you, who have been born in your land; and they may be your property.

46. അവന്റെ പിതൃവ്യന്നോ പിതൃവ്യന്റെ പുത്രന്നോ അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തില് അവന്റെ അടുത്ത ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു അവനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം; അവന്നു പ്രാപ്തിയുണ്ടെങ്കില് തന്നെത്താന് വീണ്ടെടുക്കാം.

46. You may keep them as a possession for your children after you, for them to inherit as property. These you may treat as slaves, but as for your fellow Israelites, no one shall rule over the other with harshness.

47. അവന് തന്നെ വിറ്റ സംവത്സരം മുതല് യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെയുള്ള കാലക്കണകൂ തന്നെ വാങ്ങിയവനുമായി കൂട്ടിനോക്കേണം; അവന്റെ വില സംവത്സരസംഖ്യെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ആയിരിക്കേണം; അവന് ഒരു കൂലിക്കാരന്റെ കാലത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ക്കേണം.

47. If resident aliens among you prosper, and if any of your kin fall into difficulty with one of them and sell themselves to an alien, or to a branch of the alien's family,

48. സംവത്സരം ഏറെയുണ്ടെങ്കില് അതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് തന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില തനിക്കു കിട്ടിയ പണത്തില്നിന്നു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

48. after they have sold themselves they shall have the right of redemption; one of their brothers may redeem them,

49. യോബേല്സംവത്സരംവരെ ശേഷിക്കുന്ന സംവത്സരം കുറെ മാത്രം എങ്കില് അവനുമായി കണക്കുകൂട്ടി സംവത്സരങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം തന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുവില മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം.

49. or their uncle or their uncle's son may redeem them, or anyone of their family who is of their own flesh may redeem them; or if they prosper they may redeem themselves.

50. അവന് ആണ്ടോടാണ്ടു കൂലിക്കാരന് എന്നപോലെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കേണം; നീ കാണ്കെ അവന് അവനോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കരുതു.

50. They shall compute with the purchaser the total from the year when they sold themselves to the alien until the jubilee year; the price of the sale shall be applied to the number of years: the time they were with the owner shall be rated as the time of a hired laborer.

51. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടാതെയിരുന്നാല് അവനും അവനോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ മക്കളും യോബേല് സംവത്സരത്തില് പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകേണം.

51. If many years remain, they shall pay for their redemption in proportion to the purchase price;

52. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് എനിക്കു ദാസന്മാര് ആകുന്നു; അവര് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഞാന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന എന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

52. and if few years remain until the jubilee year, they shall compute thus: according to the years involved they shall make payment for their redemption.
