1. പിന്മഴയുടെ കാലത്തു യഹോവയോടു മഴെക്കു അപേക്ഷിപ്പിന് ; യഹോവ മിന്നല്പിണര് ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവന് അവര്ക്കും വയലിലെ ഏതു സസ്യത്തിന്നുംവേണ്ടി മാരി പെയ്യിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

1. Ask the LORD for rain in the season of spring rain. The LORD makes the rain clouds, and He will give them showers of rain and crops in the field for everyone.

2. ഗൃഹബിംബങ്ങള് മിത്ഥ്യാത്വം സംസാരിക്കയും ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നവര് വ്യാജം ദര്ശിച്ചു വ്യര്ത്ഥസ്വപ്നം പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു വൃഥാ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഇടയന് ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു വലഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. For the idols speak falsehood, and the diviners see illusions; they relate empty dreams and offer empty comfort. Therefore [the people] wander like sheep; they suffer affliction because there is no shepherd.

3. എന്റെ കോപം ഇടയന്മാരുടെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെ സന്ദര്ശിക്കും; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ യെഹൂദാഗൃഹമായ തന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചു അവരെ പടയില് തനിക്കു മനോഹരതുരഗം ആക്കും.

3. My anger burns against the shepherds, so I will punish the leaders. For the LORD of Hosts has tended His flock, the house of Judah; He will make them like His majestic steed in battle.

4. അവന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു മൂലക്കല്ലും അവന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു ആണിയും അവന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു പടവില്ലും അവന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു ഏതു അധിപതിയും വരും.

4. From them will come the cornerstone, from them the tent peg, from them the battle bow, from them every ruler. Together

5. അവര് യുദ്ധത്തില് ശത്രുക്കളെ വീഥികളിലെ ചേറ്റില് ചവിട്ടിക്കളയുന്ന വീരന്മാരെപ്പോലെയാകും; യഹോവ അവരോടുകൂടെയുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് കുതിരച്ചേവകര് ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം പൊരുതും.

5. they will be like warriors in battle trampling down the mud of the streets. They will fight because the LORD is with them, and they will put horsemen to shame.

6. ഞാന് യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തെ ബലപ്പെടുത്തുകയും യോസേഫ്ഗൃഹത്തെ രക്ഷിക്കയും എനിക്കു അവരോടു കരുണയുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു അവരെ മടക്കിവരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും; ഞാന് അവരെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്തതുപോലെയിരിക്കും; ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയല്ലോ; ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ഉത്തരമരുളും.

6. I will strengthen the house of Judah and deliver the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them, and they will be as though I had never rejected them. For I am the LORD their God, and I will answer them.

7. എഫ്രയീമ്യര് വീരനെപ്പോലെയാകും; അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ സന്തോഷിക്കും; അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാര് അതു കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും; അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം യഹോവയില് ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കും.

7. Ephraim will be like a warrior, and their hearts will be glad as if with wine. Their children will see it and be glad; their hearts will rejoice in the LORD.

8. ഞാന് അവരെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കയാല് അവരെ ചൂളകുത്തി ശേഖരിക്കും; അവര് പെരുകിയിരുന്നതുപോലെ പെരുകും.

8. I will whistle and gather them because I have redeemed them; they will be as numerous as they once were.

9. ഞാന് അവരെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് വിതറും; ദൂരദേശങ്ങളില്വെച്ചു അവര് എന്നെ ഔര്ക്കും; അവര് മക്കളോടുകൂടെ ജീവിച്ചു മടങ്ങിവരും.

9. Though I sow them among the nations, they will remember Me in the distant lands; they and their children will live and return.

10. ഞാന് അവരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു മടക്കിവരുത്തും; അശ്ശൂരില്നിന്നു അവരെ ശേഖരിക്കും; ഗിലെയാദ് ദേശത്തിലേക്കും ലെബാനോനിലേക്കും അവരെ കൊണ്ടുവരും; അവര്ക്കും ഇടം പോരാതെവരും.

10. I will bring them back from the land of Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon, but it will not be enough for them.

11. അവന് കഷ്ടതയുടെ സമുദ്രത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നു, സമുദ്രത്തിലെ ഔളങ്ങളെ അടിക്കും; നീലനദിയുടെ ആഴങ്ങളൊക്കെയും വറ്റിപ്പോകയും അശ്ശൂരിന്റെ ഗര്വ്വം താഴുകയും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ ചെങ്കോല് നീങ്ങിപ്പോകയും ചെയ്യും.

11. He will pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves of the sea; all the depths of the Nile will dry up. The pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will come to an end.

12. ഞാന് അവരെ യഹോവയില് ബലപ്പെടുത്തും; അവര് അവന്റെ നാമത്തില് സഞ്ചരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

12. I will strengthen them in the LORD, and they will march in His name-- [this is] Yahweh's declaration.
