1. അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സര്വ്വസഭയും ഒന്നാം മാസം സീന് മരുഭൂമിയില് എത്തി, ജനം കാദേശില് പാര്ത്തു; അവിടെ വെച്ചു മിര്യ്യാം മരിച്ചു; അവിടെ അവളെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു.

1. And the childre of Israel came wt the whole cogregacion into the wildernesse of Zin in the first moneth, & the people abode at Cades. And there dyed Miriam, & was buried there.

2. ജനത്തിന്നു കുടിപ്പാന് വെള്ളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; അപ്പോള് അവര് മോശെക്കും അഹരോന്നും വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടം കൂടി.

2. And the congregacion had no water, & they gathered them selues together agaynst Moses & Aaron,

3. ജനം മേശെയോടു കലഹിച്ചുഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് മരിച്ചപ്പോള് ഞങ്ങളും മരിച്ചുപോയിരുന്നു എങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.

3. & the people chode with Moses, & sayde: Wolde God yt we had perished, whan oure brethre perished before the LORDE.

4. ഞങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇവിടെ കിടന്നു ചാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള് യഹോവയുടെ സഭയെ ഈ മരുഭൂമിയില് കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു എന്തു?

4. Wherfore haue ye brought the congregacion of the LORDE in to this wildernesse, yt we shulde dye here with oure catell?

5. ഈ വല്ലാത്ത സ്ഥലത്തു ഞങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് നിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചതു എന്തിന്നു? ഇവിടെ വിത്തും അത്തിപ്പഴവും മുന്തിരിപ്പഴവും മാതളപ്പഴവും ഇല്ല; കുടിപ്പാന് വെള്ളവുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And wherfore haue ye brought vs out of Egipte in to this place, where men can not sowe, where are nether fygges, ner vynes, ner pomgranates, & where there is no water to drynke?

6. എന്നാറെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും സഭയുടെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് ചെന്നു കവിണ്ണുവീണു; യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു അവര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി.

6. And Moses & Aaron wete fro the congregacion vnto ye dore of ye Tabernacle of witnesse, & fell vpon their faces. And the glory of the LORDE appeared vnto them.

7. യഹോവ മോശെയോടുനിന്റെ വടി എടുത്തു നീയും സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനും സഭയെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അവര് കാണ്കെ പാറയോടു കല്പിക്ക.

7. And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, and sayde:

8. എന്നാല് അതു വെള്ളം തരും; പാറയില് നിന്നു അവര്ക്കും വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു ജനത്തിന്നും അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികള്ക്കും കുടിപ്പാന് കൊടുക്കേണം എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

8. Take the staffe, & gather the cogregacion together, thou & thy brother Aaron, & speake vnto the rocke before their eyes, & it shall geue his water. And thus shalt thou prouyde the water out of the rocke, & geue the congregacion drynke, and their catell also.

9. തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില്നിന്നു വടി എടുത്തു.

9. The toke Moses the staffe before ye LORDE, as he commaunded him,

10. മോശെയും അഹരോനും പാറയുടെ അടുക്കല് സഭയെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അവരോടുമത്സരികളേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ; ഈ പാറയില്നിന്നു ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. & Moses & Aaron gathered the congregacion together before the rocke, & sayde vnto the: Heare ye rebellions: Shal we prouyde you water out of this rocke?

11. മോശെ കൈ ഉയര്ത്തി വടികൊണ്ടു പാറയെ രണ്ടു പ്രാവശ്യം അടിച്ചു; വളരെ വെള്ളം പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ജനവും അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികളും കുടിച്ചു.
1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 10:4

11. And Moses lift vp his hande, & smote ye rocke wt the staffe two tymes. Then came ye water out abudantly, so yt the cogregacion dranke, and their catell also.

12. പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടുംനിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് കാണ്കെ എന്നെ ശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് ഈ സഭയെ ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

12. But the LORDE sayde vnto Moses & Aaron: Because ye beleued me not, to sanctifye me before ye childre of Israel, ye shal not bringe this congregacion in to the londe that I shal geue the.

13. ഇതു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യഹോവയോടു കലഹിച്ചതും അവര് അവരില് ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുമായ കലഹജലം.

13. This is ye water of strife, where the children of Israel stroue wt the LORDE and he was sanctified vpon them.

14. അനന്തരം മോശെ കാദേശില്നിന്നു എദോംരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു പറയിച്ചതുനിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യിസ്രായേല് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നു

14. And Moses sent messaungers fro Cades vnto ye kynge of ye Edomites: This worde sendeth the yi brother Israel: Thou knowest all ye trauayle that happened vnto vs,

15. ഞങ്ങള്ക്കുണ്ടായ കഷ്ടതയൊക്കെയും നീ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് മിസ്രയീമില് പോയി ഏറിയ കാലം പാര്ത്തുമിസ്രയീമ്യര് ഞങ്ങളെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെയും പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു.

15. how that oure fathers wente downe in to Egipte, & how we haue dwelt in Egipte a longe tyme, & how the Egipcians dealte euell with vs & or fathers.

16. ഞങ്ങള് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചപ്പോള് അവന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു ഒരു ദൂതനെ അയച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; ഞങ്ങള് നിന്റെ അതിരിങ്കലുള്ള പട്ടണമായ കാദേശില് എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. And we cryed vnto ye LORDE which herde oure voyce, and sent his angell, & hath brought vs out of Egipte: And beholde, we are at Cades in ye cite without the borders of yi londe.

17. ഞങ്ങള് നിന്റെ ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാന് അനുവദിക്കേണമേ. ഞങ്ങള് വയലിലോ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലോ കയറുകയില്ല; കിണറ്റിലെവെള്ളം കുടിക്കയുമില്ല. ഞങ്ങള് രാജപാതയില്കൂടി തന്നേ നടക്കും;

17. O let vs go thorow thy londe, we wyl not go thorow ye feldes ner vynyardes, ner drynke the water out of the foutaynes. We wyl go the hye strete, and turne nether to ye right hande ner to ye lefte, tyll we be come past ye borders of thy countre.

18. നിന്റെ അതിര് കഴിയുംവരെ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ തിരികയുമില്ല. എദോം അവനോടുനീ എന്റെ നാട്ടില്കൂടി കടക്കരുതുകടന്നാല് ഞാന് വാളുമായി നിന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. But the Edomite answered him: Thou shal not go by me, or I wyl come agaynst ye with ye swerde.

19. അതിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് അവനോടുഞങ്ങള് പെരുവഴിയില്കൂടി പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളാം; ഞാനും എന്റെ കന്നുകാലിയും നിന്റെ വെള്ളം കുടിച്ചുപോയാല് അതിന്റെ വിലതരാം; കാല്നടയായി കടന്നു പോകേണമെന്നല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും എനിക്കു വേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. The children of Israel saide vnto him: We wil go ye como hye waye, & yf we or oure catell drynke of thy water, we wil paye for it: we wil do nothinge, but passe thorow on fote onely.

20. അതിന്നു അവന് നീ കടന്നുപോകരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എദോം ബഹുസൈന്യത്തോടും ബലമുള്ള കയ്യോടുംകൂടെ അവന്റെ നേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

20. But he sayde: Thou shalt not go thorow, And the Edomites came out against them with a mightie people & a stroge hande.

21. ഇങ്ങനെ എദോം തന്റെ അതിരില്കൂടി കടന്നുപോകുവാന് യിസ്രായേലിനെ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല. യിസ്രായേല് അവനെ വിട്ടു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി.

21. Thus ye Edomites denied to graute Israel passage thorow the borders of the lande. And Israel turned awaye from them.

22. പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ സര്വ്വസഭയും കാദേശില്നിന്നു യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു ഹോര് പര്വ്വതത്തില് എത്തി.

22. And the children of Israel brake vp fro Cades, and came with the whole congregacion vnto mount Hor.

23. എദോംദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരിങ്കലുള്ള ഹോര്പര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

23. And the LORDE spake vnto Moses & Aaron at mount Hor harde vpon the coastes of ye lande of ye Edomites, & sayde:

24. അഹരോന് തന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരും; കലഹജലത്തിങ്കല് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ കല്പന മറുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു അവന് കടക്കയില്ല.

24. Let Aaro be gathered vnto his people: for he shal not come in to ye lande yt I haue geuen vnto ye children of Israel, because ye were dishobedient vnto my mouth at the water of strife.

25. അഹരോനെയും അവന്റെ മകനായ എലെയാസാരിനെയും കൂട്ടി അവരെ ഹോര്പര്വ്വതത്തില് കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു

25. Take Aaron and Eleasar and his sonne, and brynge them vp vnto mount Hor,

26. അഹരോന്റെ വസ്ത്രം ഊരി അവന്റെ മകനായ എലെയാസാരിനെ ധരിപ്പിക്കേണം; അഹരോന് അവിടെവെച്ചു മരിച്ചു തന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ചേരും.

26. and strype Aaron out of his vestimentes, and put the vpon Eleasar his sonne and there shall Aaron be gathered (vnto his people) and dye.

27. യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ മോശെ ചെയ്തു; സര്വ്വസഭയും കാണ്കെ അവര് ഹോര്പര്വ്വത്തില് കയറി.

27. Then dyd Moses as the LORDE comaunded him, and they wente vp vnto Mount Hor in ye sight of the whole congregacion.

28. മോശെ അഹരോന്റെ വസ്ത്രം ഊരി അവന്റെ മകനായ എലെയാസാരിനെ ധരിപ്പിച്ചു; അഹരോന് അവിടെ പര്വ്വതത്തിന്റെ മുകളില്വെച്ചു മരിച്ചു; മോശെയും എലെയാസാരും പര്വ്വതത്തില്നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി വന്നു. അഹരോന് മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു സഭയെല്ലാം അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോള് യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും അഹരോനെക്കുറിച്ചു മുപ്പതു ദിവസം വിലാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു

28. And Moses toke Aarons clothes, & put the vpon Eleasar his sonne. And Aaron dyed there, euen aboue vpon the mount.
