1. അവര് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു പോന്നതിന്റെ രണ്ടാം സംവത്സരം ഒന്നാം മാസം യഹോവ സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

1. And the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai in the second year after they had gone forth from the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying,

2. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പെസഹ അതിന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയത്തു ആചരിക്കേണം.

2. Speak, and let the children of Israel keep the Passover in its season.

3. അതിന്നു നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയമായ ഈ മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി വൈകുന്നേരം അതു ആചരിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ എല്ലാചട്ടങ്ങള്ക്കും നിയമങ്ങള്ക്കും അനുസരണയായി നിങ്ങള് അതു ആചരിക്കേണം.

3. On the fourteenth day of the first month at evening, you shall keep it in its season; you shall keep it according to its law, and according to its ordinance.

4. പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണമെന്നു മോശെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

4. And Moses ordered the children of Israel to sacrifice the Passover,

5. അങ്ങനെ അവര് ഒന്നാം മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയില്വെച്ചു പെസഹ ആചരിച്ചു; യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് ചെയ്തു.

5. on the fourteenth day of the first month in the Wilderness of Sinai, as the Lord appointed Moses, so the children of Israel did.

6. എന്നാല് ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധരായിത്തീര്ന്നിട്ടു ആ നാളില് പെസഹ ആചരിപ്പാന് കഴിയാത്ത ചിലര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവര് അന്നുതന്നേ മോശെയുടെയും അഹരോന്റെയും മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു അവനോടു

6. And there came men who were unclean by reason of a dead body, and they were not able to keep the Passover on that day; and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.

7. ഞങ്ങള് ഒരുത്തന്റെ ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കുന്നു; നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സമയത്തു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് യഹോവയുടെ വഴിപാടു കഴിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് ഞങ്ങളെ മുടക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

7. And those men said to Moses, We are unclean by reason of the dead body of a man: shall we therefore fail to offer the gift to the Lord in its season in the midst of the children of Israel?

8. മോശെ അവരോടുനില്പിന് ; യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു കല്പിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ഞാന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And Moses said to them, stand there, and I will hear what command the Lord will give concerning you.

9. എന്നാറെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു.

9. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

10. നീ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്നിങ്ങളിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതികളിലോ വല്ലവനും ശവത്താല് അശുദ്ധനാകയോ ദൂരയാത്രയില് ആയിരിക്കയോ ചെയ്താലും അവന് യഹോവേക്കു പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണം.

10. Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Whatever man shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or on a journey far off, among you, or among your posterity; he shall then keep the Passover to the Lord,

11. രണ്ടാം മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു അവര് അതു ആചരിച്ചു പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തോടും കൈപ്പുചീരയോടും കൂടെ അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കേണം.

11. in the second month, on the fourteenth day; in the evening they shall offer it, with unleavened bread and bitter herbs shall they eat it.

12. രാവിലത്തേക്കു അതില് ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചുവെക്കരുതു; അതിന്റെ അസ്ഥിയൊന്നും ഒടിക്കയും അരുതു; പെസഹയുടെ ചട്ടപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും അവര് അതു ആചരിക്കേണം.

12. They shall leave none of it until morning, and they shall not break a bone of it; they shall sacrifice it according to the ordinance of the Passover.

13. എന്നാല് ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവനും പ്രയാണത്തില് അല്ലാത്തവനുമായ ഒരുത്തന് പെസഹ ആചരിക്കാതെ വീഴ്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം; നിശ്ചയിച്ച സമയത്തു യഹോവയുടെ വഴിപാടു കഴിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് തന്റെ പാപം വഹിക്കേണം.

13. And whatsoever man shall be clean, and is not far off on a journey, and shall fail to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people, because he has not offered the gift to the Lord in its season: that man shall bear his iniquity.

14. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വന്നുപാര്ക്കുംന്ന ഒരു പരദേശിക്കു യഹോവയുടെ പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണമെങ്കില് പെസഹയുടെ ചട്ടത്തിന്നും നിയമത്തിന്നും അനുസരണയായി അവന് ആചരിക്കേണം; പരദേശിക്കാകട്ടെ സ്വദേശിക്കാകട്ടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു ചട്ടം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കേണം.

14. And if there should come to you a stranger in your land, and should keep the Passover to the Lord, he shall keep it according to the law of the Passover and according to its ordinance. There shall be one law for you, both for the stranger, and for the native of the land.

15. തിരുനിവാസം നിവിര്ത്തുനിര്ത്തിയ നാളില് മേഘം സാക്ഷ്യകൂടാരമെന്ന തിരുനിവാസത്തെ മൂടി; സന്ധ്യാസമയംതൊട്ടു രാവിലെവരെ അതു തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് അഗ്നിപ്രകാശംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

15. And in the day in which the tabernacle was pitched the cloud covered the tabernacle, the place of the testimony; and in the evening there was upon the tabernacle as the appearance of fire till the morning.

16. അതു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു; പകല് മേഘവും രാത്രി അഗ്നിരൂപവും അതിനെ മൂടിയിരുന്നു.

16. So it was continually: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.

17. മേഘം കൂടാരത്തിന്മേല് നിന്നു പൊങ്ങുമ്പോള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും; മേഘം നിലക്കുന്നേടത്തു അവര് പാളയമിറങ്ങും.

17. And when the cloud went up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel departed; and in whatever place the cloud rested, there the children of Israel encamped.

18. യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടുകയും യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ പാളയമിറങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തു; മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് നിലക്കുമ്പോള് ഒക്കെയും അവര് പാളയമടിച്ചു താമസിക്കും,

18. The children of Israel shall encamp by the command of the Lord, and by the command of the Lord they shall remove; all the days in which the cloud overshadows the tabernacle, the children of Israel shall encamp.

19. മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് ഏറെനാള് ഇരുന്നു എങ്കില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് യാത്രപുറപ്പെടാതെ യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞ കാത്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

19. And whenever the cloud shall be drawn over the tabernacle for many days, then the children of Israel shall keep the command of God, and they shall not remove.

20. ചിലപ്പോള് മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് കുറെനാള് ഇരിക്കും; അപ്പോള് അവര് യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കും; പിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പന പോലെ യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും.

20. And it shall be, whenever the cloud overshadows the tabernacle a number of days, they shall encamp by the word of the Lord, and shall remove by the command of the Lord.

21. ചിലപ്പോള് മേഘം സന്ധ്യമുതല് ഉഷസ്സുവരെ ഇരിക്കും; ഉഷ:കാലത്തു മേഘം പൊങ്ങി എങ്കില് അവര് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും. ചിലപ്പോള് പകലും രാവും ഇരിക്കും; പിന്നെ മേഘം പൊങ്ങിയെങ്കില് അവര് യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടും.

21. And it shall come to pass, whenever the cloud shall remain from the evening till the morning, and in the morning the cloud shall go up, then shall they remove by day or by night.

22. രണ്ടു ദിവസമോ ഒരു മാസമോ ഒരു സംവത്സരമോ മേഘം തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മേല് ആവസിച്ചിരുന്നാല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് പുറപ്പെടാതെ പാളയമടിച്ചു താമസിക്കും; അതു പൊങ്ങുമ്പോഴോ അവര് പുറപ്പെടും.

22. When the cloud continues a full month overshadowing the tabernacle, the children of Israel shall encamp, and shall not depart.

23. യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ അവര് പാളയമിറങ്ങുകയും യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപോലെ യാത്ര പുറപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും; മോശെമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവര് യഹോവയുടെ ആജ്ഞ പ്രമാണിച്ചു.

23. For they shall depart by the command of the Lord: they kept the charge of the Lord by the command of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
