1. അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമില്നിന്നു പരീശന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു

1. Then came to Iesus Scribes and Pharisees, which were come from Hierusalem, saying:

2. നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പൂര്വന്മാരുടെ സന്പ്രദായം ലംഘിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? അവര് ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള് കൈ കഴുകുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

2. Why do thy disciples transgresse the traditions of the elders? for they washe not their handes when they eate bread.

3. അവന് അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു“നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്പ്രദായംകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള് ദൈവകല്പന ലംഘിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

3. But he aunswered and sayde vnto them: why do ye also transgresse the commaundement of God, by your tradition?

4. അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നും അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ ദുഷിക്കുന്നവന് മരിക്കേണം എന്നും ദൈവം കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

4. For God comaunded, saying: honour father and mother, and he that curseth father or mother, let hym dye the death.

5. നിങ്ങളോ ഒരുത്തന് അപ്പനോടു എങ്കിലും അമ്മയോടു എങ്കിലുംനിനക്കു എന്നാല് ഉപകാരമായി വരേണ്ടതു വഴിപാടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്

5. But ye say, whosoeuer shall say to father or mother: by the gyft that [is offered] of me, thou shalt be helped:

6. അവന് അപ്പനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറയുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്പ്രദായത്താല് നിങ്ങള് ദൈവവചനത്തെ ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. And so shall he not honour his father or his mother. And thus haue ye made the commaundement of God, of none effect, by your tradition.

7. കപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു യെശയ്യാവു:”

7. Hypocrites, full well dyd Esayas prophecie of you, saying:

8. ഈ ജനം അധരം കൊണ്ടു എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം എന്നെ വിട്ടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 29:13

8. This people draweth nye vnto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lippes: howbeit, their hearts are farre from me.

9. മാനുഷകല്പനകളായ ഉപദേശങ്ങളെ അവര് പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വ്യര്ത്ഥമായി ഭജിക്കുന്നു' “എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രവചിച്ചതു ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.”
യെശയ്യാ 29:13

9. But in vayne do they worshippe me, teachyng doctrine, preceptes of men.

10. പിന്നെ അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തെ അരികെ വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു കൊള്വിന് .

10. And he called the people to hym, and sayde vnto them: heare, & vnderstande.

11. മനുഷ്യന്നു അശുദ്ധിവരുത്തുന്നതു വായിക്കകത്തു ചെല്ലുന്നതു അല്ല, വായില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതത്രേ; അതു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.”

11. That which goeth into the mouth, defyleth not the man: but that which commeth out of the mouth, defyleth the man.

12. അപ്പോള് ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അടുക്കെ വന്നുപരീശന്മാര് ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഇടറിപ്പോയി എന്നു അറിയുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

12. Then came his disciples, and sayde vnto hym: knowest thou not, that the Pharisees were offended after they hearde this saying?

13. അതിന്നു അവന് “സ്വര്ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവു നട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത തൈഒക്കെയും വേരോടെ പറിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

13. But he aunswered and sayde: Euery plantyng which my heauenly father hath not planted, shalbe rooted vp.

14. അവരെ വിടുവിന് ; അവര് കുരുടന്മാരായ വഴികാട്ടികള് അത്രേ; കുരുടന് കുരുടനെ വഴിനടത്തിയാല് ഇരുവരും കുഴിയില് വീഴും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

14. Let them alone, they be the blynde leaders of the blynde. If the blynde leade the blynde, both shall fall into the dytche.

15. പത്രൊസ് അവനോടുആ ഉപമ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. Then aunswered Peter, and sayde vnto hym: Declare vnto vs this parable.

16. അതിന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞതു“നിങ്ങളും ഇന്നുവരെ ബോധമില്ലാത്തവരോ?

16. Iesus sayde: Are ye also without vnderstandyng?

17. വായിക്കകത്തു കടക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വയറ്റില് ചെന്നിട്ടു മറപ്പുരയില് പോകുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

17. Do not ye yet vnderstande, that whatsoeuer entreth in at the mouth, goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

18. വായില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതോ ഹൃദയത്തില്നിന്നു വരുന്നു; അതു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.

18. But those thynges which proceade out of the mouth, come foorth from the heart, and they defyle the man.

19. എങ്ങനെയെന്നാല് ദുശ്ചിന്ത, കുലപാതകം, വ്യഭിചാരം, പരസംഗം, മോഷണം, കള്ളസാക്ഷ്യം, ദൂഷണം എന്നിവ ഹൃദയത്തില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു.

19. For out of the heart, proceade euyll thoughtes, murders, adulteries, whordomes, theftes, false witnesse, blasphemyes.

20. മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നതു ഇതത്രേ; കഴുകാത്ത കൈകൊണ്ടു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതോ മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നില്ല.”

20. These are the thynges, which defyle a man: But to eate with vnwasshen handes, defyleth not a man.

21. യേശു അവിടം വിട്ടു, സോര് സീദോന് എന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

21. And Iesus went thence, and departed into the coastes of Tyre and Sidon.

22. ആ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു കനാന്യ സ്ത്രീ വന്നു, അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ; എന്റെ മകള്ക്കു ഭൂതോപദ്രവം കഠിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. And beholde, a woman of the Chananites, which came out of the same coastes, cryed vnto hym, saying: Haue mercie on me O Lorde, thou sonne of Dauid: My daughter is greeuously vexed with a deuyll.

23. അവന് അവളോടു ഒരു വാക്കും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അടുക്കെ, വന്നുഅവള് നമ്മുടെ പിന്നാലെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു; അവളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണമേ എന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

23. But he aunswered her not a worde: and his disciples came, and besought hym, saying: sende her away, for she cryeth after vs.

24. അതിന്നു അവന് “യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തിലെ കാണാതെപോയ ആടുകളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കല്ലാതെ എന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

24. But he aunswered, and sayde: I am not sent but vnto the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.

25. എന്നാല് അവള് വന്നുകര്ത്താവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
യോശുവ 5:14-15

25. Then came she, and worshipped him, saying: Lorde, helpe me.

26. അവനോ“മക്കളുടെ അപ്പം എടുത്തു നായകൂട്ടികള്ക്കു ഇട്ടുകൊടുക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

26. He aunswered, and sayde: it is not meete to take the chyldrens bread, and to cast it to litle dogges.

27. അതിന്നു അവള്അതേ, കര്ത്താവേ, നായക്കുട്ടികളും ഉടയവരുടെ മേശയില് നിന്നു വീഴുന്ന നുറുക്കുകള് തിന്നുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. She aunswered and sayde, trueth Lorde: and yet litle dogges eate of the crummes, which fall fro their maisters table.

28. യേശു അവളോടു“സ്ത്രീയേ, നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം വലിയതു; നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. ആ നാഴികമുതല് അവളുടെ മകള്ക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

28. Then Iesus aunswered, and sayde vnto her: O woman, great is thy fayth, be it vnto thee, euen as thou wylt. And her daughter was made whole, euen from that same tyme.

29. യേശു അവിടെ നിന്നു യാത്രയായി ഗലീലക്കടലരികെ ചെന്നു മലയില് കയറി അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു.

29. And Iesus went from thence, and came nye vnto the sea of Galilee, and went vp into a mountayne, and sate downe there.

30. വളരെ പുരുഷാരം മുടന്തര്, കുരുടര്, ഊമര്, കൂനര് മുതലായ പലരെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കല് വെച്ചു; അവന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി;

30. And great multitudes came vnto him, hauyng with them those that were lame, blynde, dumbe, maymed, & other many, and cast them downe at Iesus feete: And he healed them.

31. ഊമര് സംസാരിക്കുന്നതും കൂനര് സൌഖ്യമാകുന്നതും മുടന്തര് നടക്കുന്നതും കുരുടര് കാണുന്നതും പുരുഷാരം കണ്ടിട്ടു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.
യെശയ്യാ 52:14

31. In so much that the people wondred, when they sawe the dumbe speake, the maymed to be whole, the lame to walke, and the blynde to see: And they glorified the God of Israel.

32. എന്നാല് യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കെവിളിച്ചു“ഈ പുരുഷാരം ഇപ്പോള് മൂന്നു നാളായി എന്നോടുകൂടെ പാര്ക്കുംന്നു; അവര്ക്കും ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്കു മനസ്സലിവു തോന്നുന്നു; അവരെ പട്ടിണിയായി വിട്ടയപ്പാന് മനസ്സുമില്ല; അവര് വഴിയില്വെച്ചു തളര്ന്നുപോയേക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

32. Then Iesus called his disciples vnto hym, and sayde: I haue compassion on the people, because they continue with me nowe three dayes, and haue nothing to eate: and I wyll not let them depart fastyng, lest they faynt in the way.

33. ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുഇത്ര വലിയ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുവാന് മതിയായ അപ്പം ഈ കാട്ടില് നമുക്കു എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. And his disciples say vnto hym: whence [shoulde we get] so much bread in the wyldernesse, as to suffise so great a multitude?

34. “നിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കല് എത്ര അപ്പം ഉണ്ടു” എന്നു യേശു ചോദിച്ചു; ഏഴു; കുറെ ചെറുമീനും ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

34. And Iesus sayeth vnto them: howe many loaues haue ye? And they say, seuen, and a fewe litle fisshes.

35. അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തോടു നിലത്തു ഇരിപ്പാന് കല്പിച്ചു,

35. And he commaunded the people to sit downe on the grounde:

36. ആ ഏഴു അപ്പവും മീനും എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ പക്കലും ശിഷ്യന്മാര് പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നും കൊടുത്തു.

36. And toke the seuen loaues, and the fisshes: and after that he had geuen thankes, he brake them, and gaue to his disciples, and the disciples gaue them to the people.

37. എല്ലാവരും തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി; ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം അവര് ഏഴു വട്ടി നിറെച്ചെടുത്തു.

37. And they dyd all eate, and were suffised: And they toke vp, of the broken meate that was left, seuen baskets full.

38. തിന്നവരോ സ്ത്രീകളെയും പൈതങ്ങളെയും കൂടാതെ നാലായിരം പുരുഷന്മാര് ആയിരുന്നു.

38. And yet they that did eate, were foure thousande men, besyde women and chyldren.

39. പിന്നെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു പടകില് കയറി മഗദാദേശത്തു എത്തി.

39. And he sent away the people, and toke shippe, and came into the parties of Magdala.
