1. “സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം മണവാളനെ എതിരേല്പാന് വിളകൂ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ട പത്തു കന്യകമാരോടു സദൃശം ആകും.

1. Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went to meet the bridegroom: (and the bride)

2. അവരില് അഞ്ചുപേര് ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്തവരും അഞ്ചുപേര് ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരും ആയിരുന്നു.

2. five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

3. ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്തവര് വിളകൂ എടുത്തപ്പോള് എണ്ണ എടുത്തില്ല.

3. The foolish took their lamps, but took none oil with them.

4. ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരോ വിളക്കോടുകൂടെ പാത്രത്തില് എണ്ണയും എടുത്തു.

4. But the wise took oil with them in their vessels with their lamps also.

5. പിന്നെ മണവാളന് താമസിക്കുമ്പോള് എല്ലാവരും മയക്കംപിടിച്ചു ഉറങ്ങി.

5. While the bridegroom tarried, all slumbered and slept.

6. അര്ദ്ധരാത്രിക്കോ മണവാളന് വരുന്നു; അവനെ എതിരേല്പാന് പുറപ്പെടുവിന് എന്നു ആര്പ്പുവിളി ഉണ്ടായി.

6. And even at midnight, there was a cry made: behold, the bridegroom cometh, go and meet(go out against) him.

7. അപ്പോള് കന്യകമാര് എല്ലാവരും എഴന്നേറ്റു വിളകൂ തെളിയിച്ചു.

7. Then all those virgins arose, and prepared their lamps.

8. എന്നാല് ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്തവര് ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരോടുഞങ്ങളുടെ വിളകൂ കെട്ടുപോകുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണയില് കുറെ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. And the foolish said to the wise: give us of your oil, for our lamps go out?

9. ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവര്ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും നിങ്ങള്ക്കും പോരാ എന്നു വരാതിരിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള് വിലക്കുന്നവരുടെ അടുക്കല് പോയി വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്വിന് എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

9. But the wise answered, saying: not so, lest there be not enough for us and you, but go rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

10. അവര് വാങ്ങുവാന് പോയപ്പോള് മണവാളന് വന്നു; ഒരുങ്ങിയിരുന്നവര് അവനോടുകൂടെ കല്യാണസദ്യെക്കു ചെന്നു; വാതില് അടെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

10. In conclusion(And) while they went to buy, the bridegroom came: and they that were ready, went in with him to the wedding, and the gate was shut up.

11. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം മറ്റെ കന്യകമാരും വന്നുകര്ത്താവേ, കര്ത്താവേ ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു തുറക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

11. Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying: master, master open to us.

12. അതിന്നു അവന് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. But he answered, and said: verily I say unto you: I know you not:

13. ആകയാല് നാളും നാഴികയും നിങ്ങള് അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഉണര്ന്നിരിപ്പിന് .

13. look that ye watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor yet the hour, when the son of man shall come.

14. ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് പരദേശത്തു പോകുമ്പോള് ദാസന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു തന്റെ സമ്പത്തു അവരെ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

14. Likewise as a certain man ready to take his journey to a strange country, called his servants to him, and delivered to them his goods.

15. ഒരുവന്നു അഞ്ചു താലന്തു, ഒരുവന്നു രണ്ടു, ഒരുവന്നു ഒന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ പ്രാപ്തിപോലെ കൊടുത്തു യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു.

15. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two and to another one: to every man after his ability, and straight way departed.

16. അഞ്ചു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവന് ഉടനെ ചെന്നു വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തു വേറെ അഞ്ചു താലന്തു സമ്പാദിച്ചു.

16. Then he that had received the five talents, went and bestowed them,(occupied with the same,) and won other five. (talents)

17. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ രണ്ടു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവന് വേറെ രണ്ടു നേടി.

17. Likewise he that received two gained other two.

18. ഒന്നു ലഭിച്ചവനോ പോയി നിലത്തു ഒരു കുഴി കുഴിച്ചു യജമാനന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം മറെച്ചുവെച്ചു.

18. But he that received (the) one, went and digged a pit in the earth and hid his master's money.

19. വളരെ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ആ ദാസന്മാരുടെ യജമാനന് വന്നു അവരുമായി കണകൂ തീര്ത്തു.

19. After a long season the lord of those servants came, and reckoned with them.

20. അഞ്ചു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവന് അടുക്കെ വന്നു വേറെ അഞ്ചു കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നുയജമാനനേ, അഞ്ചു താലന്തല്ലോ എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചതു; ഞാന് അഞ്ചു താലന്തുകൂടെ നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. Then came he that had received five talents, and brought other five (talents) saying: master, thou deliveredst unto me five talents, lo(behold) I have gained with them five (talents) more.

21. അതിന്നു യജമാനന് നന്നു, നല്ലവനും വിശ്വസ്തനുമായ ദാസനേ, നീ അല്പത്തില് വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്നെ അധികത്തിന്നു വിചാരകനാക്കും; നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്ക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. (Then) His master said unto him: well good servant and faithful; Thou hast been faithful in little, I will make thee ruler over much: enter in into thy master's joy.

22. രണ്ടു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവനും അടുക്കെ വന്നുയജമാനനേ, രണ്ടു താലന്തല്ലോ എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചതു; ഞാന് രണ്ടു താലന്തുകൂടെ നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. Also he that received two talents came, and said: master, thou deliveredest unto me two talents: lo(behold) I have won two other talents with them.

23. അതിന്നു യജമാനന് നന്നു, നല്ലവനും വിശ്വസ്തനുമായ ദാസനേ, നീ അല്പത്തില് വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്നെ അധികത്തിന്നു വിചാരകനാക്കും; നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്ക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. (And) His master said unto him, well good servant and faithful thou hast been faithful in little, I will make thee ruler over much, go in into thy master's joy.

24. ഒരു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവനും അടുക്കെ വന്നുയജമാനനേ, നീ വിതെക്കാത്തേടുത്തു നിന്നു കൊയ്യുകയും വിതറാത്തേടുത്തു നിന്നു ചേര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കഠിനമനുഷ്യന് എന്നു ഞാന് അറിഞ്ഞു

24. (Then) He which had received the one talent came also, and said: master, I considered that thou wast an hard man, which reapest where thou sowedst not, and gatherest where thou strawedst not,

25. ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ചെന്നു നിന്റെ താലന്തു നിലത്തു മറെച്ചുവെച്ചു; നിന്റേതു ഇതാ, എടുത്തുകൊള്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. and was (therefore) afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo,(Behold) thou hast thine own.

26. അതിന്നു യജമാനന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുദുഷ്ടനും മടിയനും ആയ ദാസനേ, ഞാന് വിതെക്കാത്തേടത്തു നിന്നു കൊയ്യുകയും വിതറാത്തേടത്തുനിന്നു ചേര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്നു നീ അറിഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

26. His master answered, and said unto him: (thou) evil servant and slothful, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I strawed not:

27. നീ എന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം പൊന് വാണിഭക്കാരെ ഏല്പിക്കേണ്ടിയിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് ഞാന് വന്നു എന്റേതു പലിശയോടുകൂടെ വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളുമായിരുന്നു.

27. thou oughtest(shouldest) therefore to have had my money to the changers, and then at my coming should I have received my money(mine own) with vantage.

28. ആ താലന്തു അവന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു എടുത്തു പത്തു താലന്തു ഉള്ളവന്നു കൊടുപ്പിന് .

28. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29. അങ്ങനെ ഉള്ളവന്നു ഏവന്നും ലഭിക്കും; അവന്നു സമൃദ്ധിയും ഉണ്ടാകും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടോ ഉള്ളതും കൂടെ എടുത്തുകളയും.

29. For unto every man that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance. And from him that hath not, shall be taken away, even that he hath.

30. എന്നാല് കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത ദാസനെ ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുട്ടിലേക്കു തള്ളിക്കളവിന് ; അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.

30. And cast that unprofitable servant into utter darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

31. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തന്റെ തേജസ്സോടെ സകലവിശുദ്ധദൂതന്മാരുമായി വരുമ്പോള് അവന് തന്റെ തേജസ്സിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കും.

31. When the son of man shall come(cometh) in his majesty,(glory) and all his(the) holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the seat of his majesty,(glory)

32. സകല ജാതികളെയും അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് കൂട്ടും; അവന് അവരെ ഇടയന് ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളെയും കോലാടുകളെയും തമ്മില് വേര്തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ വേര്തിരിച്ചു,

32. and before him shall be gathered all nations.(people) And he shall sever(separate) them one from another, as a shepherd putteth asunder(divideth) the sheep from the goats.

33. ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളെ തന്റെ വലത്തും കോലാടുകളെ ഇടത്തും നിറുത്തും.

33. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, and the goats on the left hand.

34. രാജാവു തന്റെ വലത്തുള്ളവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുംഎന്റെ പിതാവിനാല് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരേ, വരുവിന് ; ലോകസ്ഥാപനംമുതല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കായി ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യം അവകാശമാക്കിക്കൊള്വിന് .

34. Then shall the King say to them on his right hand: Come ye blessed children of my father, inherit ye the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world.

35. എനിക്കു വിശന്നു, നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് തന്നു, ദാഹിച്ചു നിങ്ങള് കുടിപ്പാന് തന്നു; ഞാന് അതിഥിയായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊണ്ടു;

35. For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat. I thirsted, and ye gave me drink. I was harborless, and ye lodged me. I was naked and ye clothed me:

36. നഗ്നനായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ ഉടുപ്പിച്ചു; രോഗിയായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കാണ്മാന് വന്നു; തടവില് ആയിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു.

36. I was sick and ye visited me. I was in prison and ye came unto me.

37. അതിന്നു നീതിമാന്മാര് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് എപ്പോള് നിന്നെ വിശന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് തരികയോ ദാഹിച്ചു കണ്ടിട്ടു കുടിപ്പാന് തരികയോ ചെയ്തു?

37. Then shall the just(righteous) answer him saying: master, when, saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or a thirst, and gave thee drink?

38. ഞങ്ങള് എപ്പോള് നിന്നെ അതിഥിയായി കണ്ടിട്ടു ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്കയോ നഗ്നനായി കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉടപ്പിക്കയോ ചെയ്തു?

38. when saw we thee harborless, and lodged thee? or naked and clothed thee?

39. നിന്നെ രോഗിയായിട്ടോ തടവിലോ എപ്പോള് കണ്ടിട്ടു ഞങ്ങള് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.

39. or when saw we thee sick, or in prison and came unto thee?

40. രാജാവു അവരോടുഎന്റെ ഈ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ സഹോദരന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്തേടത്തോളം എല്ലാം എനിക്കു ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും.

40. And the King shall answer and say unto them: verily I say unto you: inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren: ye have done it to me.

41. പിന്നെ അവന് ഇടത്തുള്ളവരോടുശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരെ, എന്നെ വിട്ടു പിശാചിന്നും അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാര്ക്കും ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിത്യാഗ്നിയിലേക്കു പോകുവിന് .

41. Then shall the King say unto them that shall be on the left hand: depart from me ye cursed, into everlasting fire, which is prepared for the devil and his angels.

42. എനിക്കു വിശന്നു, നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് തന്നില്ല; ദാഹിച്ചു, നിങ്ങള് കുടിപ്പാന് തന്നില്ല.

42. For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat. I thirsted, and ye gave me no drink. I was harborless, and ye lodged me not.

43. അതിഥിയായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊണ്ടില്ല; നഗ്നനായിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ ഉടുപ്പിച്ചില്ല; രോഗിയും തടവിലും ആയിരുന്നു, നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കാണ്മാന് വന്നില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും.

43. I was naked, and ye clothed me not. I was sick and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44. അതിന്നു അവര്കര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നെ വിശക്കുന്നവനോ ദാഹിക്കുന്നവനോ അതിഥിയോ നഗ്നനോ രോഗിയോ തടവിലോ ആയി എപ്പോള് കണ്ടു നിനക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും. അവന് അവരോടു

44. Then shall they also answer him saying: master, when saw we thee an hungered, or a thirst, or harborless, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and have not ministered unto thee?

45. ഈ ഏറ്റവും ചെറിവരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു നിങ്ങള് ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞേടത്തോളമെല്ലാം എനിക്കു ആകുന്നു ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞതു എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം അരുളും.

45. then shall he answer them, and say: Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46. ഇവര് നിത്യദണ്ഡനത്തിലേക്കും നീതിമാന്മാര് നിത്യജീവങ്കലേക്കും പോകും.”

46. And these shall go into everlasting pain: And the righteous into life eternal.
