1. ശബ്ബത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞു ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ദിവസം വെളുക്കുമ്പോള് മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയയും മറ്റെ മറിയയും കല്ലറ കാണ്മാന് ചെന്നു.

1. In the later ende of the Sabboth day, whiche dawneth the first daye of the weke, came Marie Magdalen, and the other Marie, to see the sepulchre.

2. പെട്ടെന്നു വലിയോരു ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടായി; കര്ത്താവിന്റെ ദൂതന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു, കല്ലു ഉരുട്ടിനീക്കി അതിന്മേല് ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.

2. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for the Angell of the Lorde descended from heauen, and came & roulled backe the stone from the doore, and sate vpon it.

3. അവന്റെ രൂപം മിന്നലിന്നു ഒത്തതും അവന്റെ ഉടുപ്പു ഹിമം പോലെ വെളുത്തതും ആയിരുന്നു.

3. His countenaunce was lyke lyghtnyng, and his rayment white as snowe.

4. കാവല്ക്കാര് അവനെ കണ്ടു പേടിച്ചു വിറെച്ചു മരിച്ചവരെപ്പോലെ ആയി.

4. And for feare of him, the kepers were astonyed, and became as dead men.

5. ദൂതന് സ്ത്രീകളോടുഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട യേശുവിനെ നിങ്ങള് അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു;

5. The Angell aunswered, and sayde vnto the women, feare ye not: For I knowe that ye seke Iesus whiche was crucified.

6. അവന് ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല; താന് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു; അവന് കിടന്ന സ്ഥലം വന്നുകാണ്മിന്

6. He is not here, he is rysen, as he saide. Come, se the place where that the Lord was layde.

7. അവന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്നു വേഗം ചെന്നു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറവിന് ; അവന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മുമ്പെ ഗലീലെക്കു പോകുന്നു; അവിടെ നിങ്ങള് അവനെ കാണും; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

7. And go quickly, & tell his disciples that he is rysen agayne from the dead. And beholde, he goeth before you into Galilee, there shall ye see hym. Loe, I haue tolde you.

8. അങ്ങനെ അവര് വേഗത്തില് ഭയത്തോടും മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടും കൂടി കല്ലറ വിട്ടു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു അറിയിപ്പാന് ഔടിപ്പോയി. എന്നാല് യേശു അവരെ എതിരെറ്റു

8. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with feare, and great ioy, and dyd runne, to bryng his disciples worde.

9. “നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വന്ദനം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് അടുത്തുചെന്നു അവന്റെ കാല് പിടിച്ചു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

9. And as they went to tell his disciples, beholde, Iesus met them, saying: All hayle. And they came and helde him by the feete, and worshypped hym.

10. യേശു അവരോടു“ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട; നിങ്ങള് പോയി എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു ഗലീലെക്കു പോകുവാന് പറവിന് ; അവിടെ അവര് എന്നെ കാണും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. Then sayde Iesus vnto them: be not afrayde. Go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, & there shal they see me.

11. അവര് പോകുമ്പോള് കാവല്ക്കൂട്ടത്തില് ചിലര് നഗരത്തില് ചെന്നു സംഭവിച്ചതു എല്ലാം മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

11. When they were gone, beholde, some of the watche came into the citie, and shewed vnto the hye priestes all the thynges that were done.

12. അവര് ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി മൂപ്പന്മാരുമായി ആലോചനകഴിച്ചിട്ടു പടയാളികള്ക്കു വേണ്ടുവോളം പണം കൊടുത്തു;

12. And they gathered the together, with the elders, and toke councell, and gaue large money vnto the souldiers,

13. അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് രാത്രിയില് വന്നു ഞങ്ങള് ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോള് അവനെ കട്ടുകൊണ്ടുപോയി എന്നു പറവിന് .

13. Saying. Saye ye, that his disciples came by nyght, & stole hym away while ye slept.

14. വസ്തുത നാടുവാഴിയുടെ സന്നിധാനത്തില് എത്തി എങ്കിലോ ഞങ്ങള് അവനെ സമ്മതിപ്പിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ നിര്ഭയരാക്കിക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14. And yf this come to the deputies [eares] we wyll perswade hym, and saue you harmelesse.

15. അവര് പണം വാങ്ങി ഉപദേശപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തു; ഈ കഥ ഇന്നുവരെ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് പരക്കെ നടപ്പായിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. So they toke the money, & dyd as they were taught. And this saying is noysed among the Iewes, vntyl this day.

16. എന്നാല് പതിനൊന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ഗലീലയില് യേശു അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന മലെക്കു പോയി.

16. Then the eleuen disciples went awaye into Galilee, into a mountayne, where Iesus had appoynted them.

17. അവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോള് അവര് നമസ്കരിച്ചു; ചിലരോ സംശയിച്ചു.

17. And when they sawe hym, they worshypped hym: But some doubted.

18. യേശു അടുത്തുചെന്നു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും സകല അധികാരവും എനിക്കു നല്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
ദാനീയേൽ 7:14

18. And Iesus came, and spake vnto the, saying: All power is geuen vnto me in heauen and in earth.

19. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് പുറപ്പെട്ടു, പിതാവിന്റെയും പുത്രന്റെയും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെയും നാമത്തില് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചും ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും പ്രമാണിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഉപദേശിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു” സകലജാതികളെയും ശിഷ്യരാക്കിക്കൊള്വിന് ; ഞാനോ ലോകാവസാനത്തോളം എല്ലാനാളും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

19. Go ye therfore, & teache all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the sonne, and of the holye ghost:
