1. പിന്നെ അവന് അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം ശക്തിയോടെ വരുന്നതു കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവര് ചിലര് ഈ നിലക്കുന്നവരില് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

1. And he saide vnto them, Verely I say vnto you, that there be some of them that stande here, which shall not taste of death till they haue seene the kingdome of God come with power.

2. ആറു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി ഒരു ഉയര്ന്ന മലയിലേക്കു തനിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു.

2. And sixe dayes after, Iesus taketh vnto him Peter, and Iames, and Iohn, and carieth them vp into an hie mountaine out of the way alone, and his shape was changed before them.

3. ഭൂമിയില് ഒരു അലക്കുകാരന്നും വെളുപ്പിപ്പാന് കഴിയാതെവണ്ണം അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അത്യന്തം വെളുപ്പായി തിളങ്ങി.

3. And his rayment did shine, and was very white, as snowe, so white as no fuller can make vpon the earth.

4. അപ്പോള് ഏലീയാവും മോശെയും അവര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി യേശുവിനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

4. And there appeared vnto them Elias with Moses, and they were talking with Iesus.

5. പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടുറബ്ബീ നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു; ഞങ്ങള് മൂന്നു കുടില് ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ; ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. Then Peter answered, and said to Iesus, Master, it is good for vs to be here: let vs make also three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

6. താന് എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു എന്നു അവന് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അവര് ഭയപരവശരായിരുന്നു.

6. Yet hee knewe not what he saide: for they were afraide.

7. പിന്നെ ഒരു മേഘം വന്നു അവരുടെ മേല് നിഴലിട്ടുഇവന് എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രന് ; ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിന് എന്നു മേഘത്തില് നിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.

7. And there was a cloude that shadowed them, and a voyce came out of the cloude, saying, This is my beloued Sonne: heare him.

8. പെട്ടെന്നു അവര് ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയാറെ തങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ യേശുവിനെ മാത്രം അല്ലാതെ ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല.

8. And suddenly they looked roud about, and sawe no more any man saue Iesus only with them.

9. അവര് മലയില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോള്മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഈ കണ്ടതു ആരോടും അറിയിക്കരുതു എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

9. And as they came downe from the mountaine, he charged them, that they should tell no man what they had seene, saue when the Sonne of man were risen from the dead againe.

10. മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മില് തര്ക്കിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവര് ആ വാക്കു ഉള്ളില് സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു;

10. So they kept that matter to themselues, and demaunded one of another, what the rising from the dead againe should meane?

11. ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് വാദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവര് ചോദിച്ചു.

11. Also they asked him, saying, Why say the Scribes, that Elias must first come?

12. അതിന്നു യേശുഏന്നഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കുന്നു സത്യം; എന്നാല് മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുഅവന് വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ധിക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

12. And he answered, and said vnto them, Elias verely shall first come, and restore all things: and as it is written of the Sonne of man, hee must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

13. ഏലീയാവു വന്നു; അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് തങ്ങള്ക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

13. But I say vnto you, that Elias is come, (and they haue done vnto him whatsoeuer they would) as it is written of him.

14. അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കെ വന്നാറെ വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ചുറ്റി നിലക്കുന്നതും ശാസ്ത്രിമാര് അവരോടു തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

14. And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the Scribes disputing with them.

15. പുരുഷാരം അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ഭ്രമിച്ചു ഔടിവന്നു അവനെ വന്ദിച്ചു.

15. And straightway all the people, when they behelde him, were amased, and ranne to him, and saluted him.

16. അവന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് അവരുമായി തര്ക്കിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

16. Then hee asked the Scribes, What dispute you among your selues?

17. അതിന്നു പുരുഷാരത്തില് ഒരുത്തന് ഗുരോ, ഊമനായ ആത്മാവുള്ള എന്റെ മകനെ ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

17. And one of the companie answered, and said, Master, I haue brought my sonne vnto thee, which hath a dumme spirit:

18. അതു അവനെ എവിടെവെച്ചു പിടിച്ചാലും അവനെ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന് നുരെച്ചു പല്ലുകടിച്ചു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

18. And wheresoeuer he taketh him, he teareth him, and he fometh, and gnasheth his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples, that they should cast him out, and they could not.

19. അവന് അവരോടുഅവിശ്വാസമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ പൊറുക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

19. Then he answered him, and said, O faithlesse generation, how long now shall I be with you! how long now shall I suffer you! Bring him vnto me.

20. അവര് അവനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ആത്മാവു അവനെ ഇഴെച്ചു; അവന് നിലത്തു വീണു നുരെച്ചുരുണ്ടു.

20. So they brought him vnto him: and assoone as the spirit sawe him, hee tare him, and hee fell downe on the ground walowing and foming.

21. ഇതു അവന്നു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു എത്ര കാലമായി എന്നു അവന്റെ അപ്പനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന് ചെറുപ്പംമുതല് തന്നേ.

21. Then he asked his father, How long time is it since he hath bin thus? And he said, Of a childe.

22. അതു അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും വെള്ളത്തിലും തള്ളിയിട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നാല് വല്ലതും കഴിയും എങ്കില് മനസ്സല്ലിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല് കഴിയും എങ്കില് എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. And oft times he casteth him into the fire, and into the water to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, helpe vs, and haue compassion vpon vs.

23. യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല് കഴിയും എങ്കില് എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

23. And Iesus said vnto him, If thou canst beleeue it, al things are possible to him that beleeueth.

24. ബാലന്റെ അപ്പന് ഉടനെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അവിശ്വാസത്തിനു സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. And straightway the father of the childe crying with teares, saide, Lord, I beleeue: helpe my vnbeliefe.

25. എന്നാറെ പുരുഷാരം ഔടിക്കൂടുന്നതു യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചുഊമനും ചെകിടനുമായ ആത്മാവേ, ഇവനെ വിട്ടു പോ; ഇനി അവനില് കടക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. When Iesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the vncleane spirit, saying vnto him, Thou domme and deafe spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

26. അപ്പോള് അതു നിലവിളിച്ചു അവനെ വളരെ ഇഴെച്ചു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പലരും പറവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് മരിച്ച പോലെ ആയി.

26. Then the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out, and he was as one dead, in so much that many said, He is dead.

27. യേശു അവനെ കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചു നിവര്ത്തി, അവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

27. But Iesus tooke his hande, and lift him vp, and he arose.

28. വീട്ടില് വന്നശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാര് സ്വകാര്യമായി അവനോടുഞങ്ങള്ക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാന് കഴിയാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. And when hee was come into the house, his disciples asked him secretly, Why could not we cast him out?

29. പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാല് അല്ലാതെ ഈ ജാതി ഒന്നിനാലും പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകയില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

29. And he saide vnto them, This kinde can by no other meanes come foorth, but by prayer and fasting.

30. അവിടെ നിന്നു അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഗലീലയില് കൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അതു ആരും അറിയരുതെന്നു അവന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചു.

30. And they departed thence, and went together through Galile, and hee would not that any should haue knowen it.

31. അവന് തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രന് മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവര് അവനെ കൊല്ലും; കൊന്നിട്ടു മൂന്നു നാള് കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം അവന് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

31. For he taught his disciples, and saide vnto them, The Sonne of man shalbe deliuered into the handes of men, and they shall kill him, but after that he is killed, he shall rise againe the third day.

32. ആ വാക്കു അവര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാനോ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

32. But they vnderstoode not that saying, and were afraide to aske him.

33. അവന് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് വന്നു വീട്ടില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്നിങ്ങള് വഴിയില്വെച്ചു തമ്മില് വാദിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

33. After, he came to Capernaum: and when he was in the house, he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among you by the way?

34. അവരോ തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് വലിയവന് ആര് എന്നു വഴിയില്വെച്ചു വാദിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

34. And they helde their peace: for by the way they reasoned among themselues, who should bee the chiefest.

35. അവന് ഇരുന്നു പന്തിരുവരെയും വിളിച്ചുഒരുവന് മുമ്പന് ആകുവാന് ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല് അവന് എല്ലാവരിലും ഒടുക്കത്തവനും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷകനും ആകേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

35. And he sate downe, and called the twelue, and said to them, If any man desire to be first, the same shalbe last of all, and seruant vnto all.

36. ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തു അവരുടെ നടുവില് നിറുത്തി അണെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു അവരോടു

36. And he tooke a litle childe, and set him in the middes of them, and tooke him in his armes, and sayd vnto them,

37. ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ശിശുക്കളില് ഒന്നിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തില് കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന് എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവനോ എന്നെയല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37. Whosoeuer shall receiue one of such litle children in my Name, receiueth me: and whosoeuer receiueth mee, receiueth not me, but him that sent me.

38. യോഹന്നാന് അവനോടുഗുരോ, ഒരുവന് നിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നതു ഞങ്ങള് കണ്ടു; അവന് നമ്മെ അനുഗമിക്കായ്കയാല് ഞങ്ങള് അവനെ വിരോധിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

38. Then Iohn answered him, saying, Master, we sawe one casting out deuils by thy Name, which followeth not vs, and we forbade him, because he followeth vs not.

39. അതിന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതുഅവനെ വിരോധിക്കരുതു; എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഒരു വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തിട്ടു വേഗത്തില് എന്നെ ദുഷിച്ചുപറവാന് കഴിയുന്നവന് ആരും ഇല്ല.

39. But Iesus sayd, Forbid him not: for there is no man that can doe a miracle by my Name, that can lightly speake euill of me.

40. നമുക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലമല്ലാത്തവന് നമുക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലോ.

40. For whosoeuer is not against vs, is on our part.

41. നിങ്ങള് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര് എന്നീ നാമത്തില് ആരെങ്കിലും ഒരു പാനപാത്രം വെള്ളം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കുടിപ്പാന് തന്നാല് അവന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

41. And whosoeuer shall giue you a cup of water to drinke for my Names sake, because ye belong to Christ, verely I say vnto you, he shall not lose his rewarde.

42. എങ്കല് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചെറിയവരില് ഒരുത്തന്നു ഇടര്ച്ചവരുത്തുന്നവന്റെ കഴുത്തില് വലിയോരു തിരികല്ലു കെട്ടി അവനെ കടലില് ഇട്ടുകളയുന്നതു അവന്നു ഏറെ നല്ലു.

42. And whosoeuer shall offend one of these litle ones, that beleeue in me, it were better for him rather, that a milstone were hanged about his necke, and that he were cast into the sea.

43. നിന്റെ കൈ നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക

43. Wherefore, if thine hand cause thee to offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life, maimed, then hauing two hands, to goe into hell, into the fire that neuer shalbe quenched,

44. മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കയ്യുമുള്ളവന് ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില് പോകുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

44. Where their worme dyeth not, and the fire neuer goeth out.

45. നിന്റെ കാല് നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക

45. Likewise, if thy foote cause thee to offend, cut it off: it is better for thee to go halt into life, then hauing two feete, to be cast into hell, into the fire that neuer shalbe quenched,

46. മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കാലുമുള്ളവന് ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില് വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

46. Where their worme dyeth not, and the fire neuer goeth out.

47. നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിനക്കു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല് അതിനെ ചൂന്നുകളക; ഒറ്റക്കണ്ണനായി ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടുകണ്ണുള്ളവനായി അഗ്നിനരകത്തില് വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള് നിനക്കു നല്ലു.

47. And if thine eye cause thee to offende, plucke it out: it is better for thee to goe into the kingdome of God with one eye, then hauing two eyes, to be cast into hell fire,

48. അവിടെ അവരുടെ പുഴു ചാകുന്നില്ല. തീ കെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

48. Where their worme dyeth not, and the fire neuer goeth out.

49. എല്ലാവന്നും തീകൊണ്ടു ഉപ്പിടും.

49. For euery man shalbe salted with fire: and euery sacrifice shalbe salted with salt.

50. ഉപ്പു നല്ലതു തന്നേ; ഉപ്പു കാരമില്ലാതെ പോയാലോ എന്തൊന്നിനാല് അതിന്നു രസം വരുത്തും? നിങ്ങളില് തന്നേ ഉപ്പുള്ളവരും അന്യോന്യം സമാധാനമുള്ളവരും ആയിരിപ്പിന് .

50. Salt is good: but if the salt be vnsauerie, wherewith shall it be seasoned? haue salt in your selues, and haue peace one with another.
