1. പെസഹ എന്ന പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ പെരുനാള് അടുത്തു.

1. And the feast of the unleavened bread, which is called a Passover, was drawing near.

2. അപ്പോള് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും ജനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയാല് അവനെ ഒടുക്കുവാന് ഉപായം അന്വേഷിച്ചു.

2. And the High-priests and the Scribes were seeking, how they might get rid of him; for they feared the people.

3. എന്നാല് പന്തിരുവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ഉള്ള ഈസ്കാര്യ്യോത്തായൂദയില് സാത്താന് കടന്നു

3. But Satan entered into Judas, him called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve;

4. അവന് ചെന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും പടനായകന്മാരോടും അവനെ അവര്ക്കും കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന വഴിയെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചു.

4. and, departing, he conversed with the High-priests and Captains, as to how, unto them, he might deliver him up.

5. അവര് സന്തോഷിച്ചു അവന്നു ദ്രവ്യം കൊടുക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞൊത്തു.

5. And they rejoiced, and bargained with him to give him, silver;

6. അവന് വാക്കു കൊടുത്തു, പുരുഷാരം ഇല്ലാത്ത സമയത്തു അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാന് തക്കം അന്വേഷിച്ചുപോന്നു.

6. and he freely consented, and began seeking a good opportunity for delivering him up, in the absence of a multitude, unto them.

7. Now the day of the unleavened bread a came, on which it was needful to be sacrificing the passover.

8. And he sent forth Peter and John, saying Go, and make ready, for us, the passover, that we may eat.

9. And, they, said unto him Where wiliest thou, we should make ready?

10. And, he, said unto them Lo! when ye have entered into the city, there will meet you a man, bearing, an earthen-jar of water: follow him into the house into which he is entering.

11. And ye shall say unto the master of the house The teacher saith unto thee, where is the lodging, where, the passover, with my disciples, I may eat?

12. അവന് വിരിച്ചൊരുക്കിയോരു വന്മാളിക കാണിച്ചുതരും; അവിടെ ഒരുക്കുവിന് എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. And, he, unto you, will shew, a large upper room, spread: there, make ready.

13. അവര് പോയി തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ കണ്ടു പെസഹ ഒരുക്കി.

13. And, departing, they found according as he had said unto them, and made ready the passover.

14. സമയം ആയപ്പോള് അവന് അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുമായി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഇരുന്നു.

14. And, when the hour arrived, he reclined, and the apostles with him.

15. അവന് അവരോടുഞാന് കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കും മുമ്പെ ഈ പെസഹ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ കഴിപ്പാന് വാഞ്ഛയോടെ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

15. And he said unto them I have greatly desired, to eat, this passover, with you before I suffer;

16. അതു ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് നിവൃത്തിയാകുവോളം ഞാന് ഇനി അതു കഴിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു.

16. For, I say unto you In nowise shall I eat it, until it have been fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17. പിന്നെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തിഇതു വാങ്ങി പങ്കിട്ടുകൊള്വിന് .

17. And, accepting a cup, giving thanks, he said Take this, and divide among yourselves;

18. ദൈവരാജ്യം വരുവോളം ഞാന് മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ അനുഭവം ഇന്നു മുതല് കുടിക്കില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

18. For, I say unto you In nowise shall I drink henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until, the kingdom of God, shall come.

19. പിന്നെ അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തുഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി നലകുന്ന എന്റെ ശരീരം; എന്റെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായി ഇതു ചെയ്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. And, taking a loaf, he gave thanks, and brake, and gave unto them, saying This is my body which in your behalf is being given: this, be ye doing, in remembrance, of me.

20. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അത്താഴം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവന് പാനപാത്രവും കൊടുത്തുഈ പാനപാത്രം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ചൊരിയുന്ന എന്റെ രക്തത്തിലെ പുതിയ നിയമം ആകുന്നു.

20. And the cup, in like manner, after the taking of supper, saying This cup, is the new covenant in my blood, which, in your behalf, is to be poured out.

21. Nevertheless, lo! the hand of him who is delivering me up, is with me upon the table.

22. നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് പോകുന്നു സത്യം; എങ്കിലും അവനെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. Because, the Son of Man, indeed, according to what is marked out, goeth his way; nevertheless, alas! for that man through whom he is being delivered up.

23. ഇതു ചെയ്വാന് പോകുന്നവന് തങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ആര് ആയിരിക്കും എന്നു അവര് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് ചോദിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

23. And, they, began to be enquiring together, among themselves, as to which, then, it could be, from among them, who, this thing, was about to perpetrate!

24. തങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ആരെ ആകുന്നു വലിയവനായി എണ്ണേണ്ടതു എന്നതിനെച്ചൊല്ലി ഒരു തര്ക്കവും അവരുടെ ഇടയില് ഉണ്ടായി.

24. And it came to pass that there was, a rivalry also, among them, as to which of them seemed to be greater than the rest .

25. അവനോ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുജാതികളുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാര് അവരില് കര്ത്തൃത്വം നടത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ മേല് അധികാരം നടത്തുന്നവരെ ഉപകാരികള് എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

25. And, he, said unto them The kings of the nations, lord it over them, and, they who wield authority over them, benefactors, are called.

26. നിങ്ങളോ അങ്ങനെയല്ല; നിങ്ങളില് വലിയവന് ഇളയവനെപ്പോലെയും നായകന് ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെയും ആകട്ടെ.

26. But, ye, not so! On the contrary the greater among you, Let him become as, the younger, and, he that governeth, as, he that ministereth,

27. ആരാകുന്നു വലിയവന് ? ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നവനോ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കുന്നവനോ? ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നവനല്ലയോ? ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ ആകുന്നു.

27. For which is greater he that reclineth? or he that ministereth? Is not he that reclineth? But, I, am, in your midst, as he that ministereth,

28. നിങ്ങള് ആകുന്നു എന്റെ പരീക്ഷകളില് എന്നോടുകൂടെ നിലനിന്നവര്.

28. Ye, however, are they who have remained throughout with me in my temptations;

29. എന്റെ പിതാവു എനിക്കു രാജ്യം നിയമിച്ചുതന്നതുപോലെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കും നിയമിച്ചു തരുന്നു.

29. And, I, covenant unto you as my Father hath covenanted unto me a kingdom,

30. നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില് എന്റെ മേശയിങ്കല് തിന്നുകുടിക്കയും സിംഹാസനങ്ങളില് ഇരുന്നു യിസ്രായേല് ഗോത്രം പന്ത്രണ്ടിനെയും ന്യായം വിധിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

30. That ye may eat and drink, at my table, in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging, the twelve tribes of Israel.

31. ശിമോനേ, ശിമോനെ, സാത്താന് നിങ്ങളെ കോതമ്പു പോലെ പാറ്റേണ്ടതിന്നു കല്പന ചോദിച്ചു.

31. Simon! Simon! lo! Satan, hath claimed you, to sift as wheat;

32. ഞാനോ നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം പൊയ്പോകാതിരിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു വേണ്ടി അപേകഷിച്ചു; എന്നാല് നീ ഒരു സമയം തിരിഞ്ഞു വന്നശേഷം നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

32. But, I, have entreated for thee, that thy faith may not fail. And, thou, once thou hast turned, strengthen thy brethren.

33. അവന് അവനോടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ തടവിലാകുവാനും മരിപ്പാനും ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33. But, he, said unto him Lord! with thee, am I, ready, both into prison and unto death, to be going.

34. അതിന്നു അവന് പത്രൊസെ, നീ എന്നെ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു മൂന്നുവട്ടം തള്ളിപ്പറയുംമുമ്പെ ഇന്നു കോഴി ക്കുകുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

34. And, he, said: I tell thee, Peter A cock will not crow this day, until, thrice, thou deny that thou knowest me.

35. പിന്നെ അവന് അവരോടുഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ മടിശ്ശീലയും പൊക്കണവും ചെരിപ്പും കൂടാതെ അയച്ചപ്പോള് വല്ല കുറവുമുണ്ടായോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഒരു കുറവുമുണ്ടായില്ല എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു.

35. And he said unto them When I sent you forth, without purse or satchel or sandals, of anything, came ye short? And, they, said Of nothing!

36. അവന് അവരോടുഎന്നാല് ഇപ്പോള് മടിശ്ശീലയുള്ളവന് അതു എടുക്കട്ടെ; അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ പൊക്കണമുള്ളവനും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോ തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം വിറ്റു വാള് കൊള്ളട്ടെ.

36. And he said unto them But, now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, in like manner also, a satchel; and, he that hath nothing, let him sell his mantle, and buy a sword!

37. അവനെ അധര്മ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് എണ്ണി എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതിന്നു ഇനി എന്നില് നിവൃത്തിവരേണം എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതിന്നു നിവൃത്തി വരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37. For I say unto you This that is written, must needs be completed in me, And, with lawless ones, was he reckoned; for, even that which concerneth me, hath, completion.

38. കര്ത്താവേ, ഇവിടെ രണ്ടു വാള് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞതിന്നുമതി എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

38. And, they, said Lord, lo! two swords, here! And, he, said unto them 'Tis, enough!

39. പിന്നെ അവന് പതിവുപോലെ ഒലീവ് മലെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി; ശിഷ്യന്മാരും അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

39. And going out, he went, according to his custom, unto the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed him.

40. ആ സ്ഥലത്തു എത്തിയപ്പോള് അവന് അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് പരീക്ഷയില് അകപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

40. And, coming up to the place, he said unto them Be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.

41. താന് അവരെ വിട്ടു ഒരു കല്ലേറുദൂരത്തോളം വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി മുട്ടുകുത്തി;

41. And, he, was torn from them about a stone's throw; and, bending his knees, he began to pray,

42. പിതാവേ, നിനക്കു മനസ്സുണ്ടെങ്കില് ഈ പാനപാത്രം എങ്കല് നിന്നു നീക്കേണമേ; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ഇഷ്ടമല്ല നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംതന്നെയാകട്ടെ എന്നു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു.

42. saying Father! if thou please, bear aside this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be accomplished.

43. അവനെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുവാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു ഒരു ദൂതന് അവന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

43. And there appeared unto him a messenger from heaven, strengthening him,

44. പിന്നെ അവന് പ്രാണവേദനയിലായി അതിശ്രദ്ധയോടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചു; അവന്റെ വിയര്പ്പു നിലത്തു വീഴുന്ന വലിയ ചോരത്തുള്ളിപോലെ ആയി.

44. and, coming to be in an agony, more intensely, was he praying; and his perspiration became, as if great drops of blood, falling upon the ground.

45. അവന് പ്രാര്തഥന കഴിഞ്ഞു എഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു, അവര് വിഷാദത്താല് ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു കണ്ടു അവരോടു

45. And, arising from prayer, he came unto his disciples, and found them falling asleep by reason of their grief;

46. നിങ്ങള് ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? പരീക്ഷയില് അകപ്പെടാതിരപ്പാന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

46. and he said unto them Why are ye slumbering? Arise! and be praying, lest ye enter into temptation.

47. അവന് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ ഇതാ, ഒരു പുരുഷാരം; പന്തിരുവരില് ഒരുവനായ യൂദാ അവര്ക്കും മുന്നടന്നു യേശുവിനെ ചുംബിപ്പാന് അടുത്തുവന്നു.

47. While yet he was speaking, lo! a multitude; and, he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them on, and he drew near unto Jesus, to kiss him.

48. യേശു അവനോടുയൂദയേ, മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ ചുംബനംകൊണ്ടോ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

48. But, Jesus, said to him Judas! with a kiss, the Son of Man, dost thou deliver up?

49. സംഭവിപ്പാന് പോകുന്നതു അവന്റെ കൂടെയുള്ളവര് കണ്ടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങള് വാള്കൊണ്ടു വെട്ടേണമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

49. And they who were about him, seeing what would be, said Lord! shall we smite with the sword?

50. അവരില് ഒരുത്തന് മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസനെ വെട്ടി അവന്റെ വലത്തെ കാതു അറുത്തു.

50. And a certain one from among them smote, the High-priest's, servant, and took off his right ear.

51. അപ്പോള് യേശു; ഇത്രെക്കു വിടുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന്റെ കാതു തൊട്ടു സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

51. But Jesus, answering, said Let be as long as this! And, touching the ear, he healed him.

52. യേശു തന്റെ നേരെ വന്ന മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ പടനായകന്മാരോടും മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുംഒരു കള്ളന്റെ നേരെ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങള് വാളും വടിയുമായി പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നുവോ?

52. And Jesus said unto the High-priests, and Captains of the temple, and Elders, who had come against him As against a robber, have ye come out, with swords and clubs?

53. ഞാന് ദിവസേന ദൈവാലയത്തില് നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നിട്ടും എന്റെ നേരെ കൈ ഔങ്ങിയില്ല; എന്നാല് ഇതു നിങ്ങളുടെ നാഴികയും ഇരുളിന്റെ അധികാരവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

53. Daily, was I with you, in the temple, and yet ye stretched not forth your hands against me! But, this, is your hour, and the authority of darkness.

54. അവര് അവനെ പിടിച്ചു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ വീട്ടില് കൊണ്ടുപോയി; പത്രൊസും അകലം വിട്ടു പിന് ചെന്നു.

54. And, having arrested him, they led him away, and took him into the house of the High-priest; and, Peter, was following afar.

55. അവര് നടുമുറ്റത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ തീ കത്തിച്ചു ഒന്നിച്ചിരുന്നപ്പോള് പത്രൊസും അവരുടെ ഇടയില് ഇരുന്നു.

55. And, they having kindled up a fire in the midst of the court, and taken seats together, Peter was for sitting among them.

56. അവന് തീവെട്ടത്തിന്നടുക്കെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു ഒരു ബാല്യക്കാരത്തി കണ്ടു അവനെ ഉറ്റു നോക്കിഇവനും അവനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

56. But, a certain maid-servant, seeing him seating himself towards the light, and looking steadfastly at him, said This one also, was, with him.

57. അവനോ; സ്ത്രിയേ, ഞാന് അവനെ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.

57. But, he, denied, saying I know him not, woman!

58. കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു മറ്റൊരുവന് അവനെ കണ്ടുനീയും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; പത്രൊസോമനുഷ്യാ, ഞാന് അല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

58. And, after a little, another, beholding him, said Thou also, art, from among them. But, Peter, said Man! I am not.

59. ഏകദേശം ഒരു മണി നേരം കഴിഞ്ഞാറെ വേറൊരുവന് ഇവനും അവനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു സത്യം; ഇവന് ഗലീലക്കാരനല്ലോ എന്നു നിഷ്കര്ഷിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

59. And, about one hour having passed, a certain other, began stoutly to insist, saying Of a truth, this one also, was with him; for indeed he is, a Galilaean.

60. മനുഷ്യാ, നീ പറയുന്നതു എനിക്കു തിരിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പത്രൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ പെട്ടെന്നു കോഴി ക്കുകി.

60. But Peter said Man! I know not what thou art saying! And, instantly while yet he was speaking, a cock crew.

61. അപ്പോള് കര്ത്താവു തിരിഞ്ഞു പത്രൊസിനെ ഒന്നു നോക്കിഇന്നു കോഴി ക്കുകുംമുമ്പെ നീ മൂന്നുവട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും എന്നു കര്ത്താവു തന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു പത്രൊസു ഔര്ത്തു

61. And the Lord turned, and looked at Peter; and Peter was put in mind of the declaration of the Lord, how he had said to him Before, a cock, crow this day, thou wilt deny me thrice!

62. പുറത്തിറങ്ങി അതിദുഃഖത്തോട കരഞ്ഞു.

62. And, going forth outside, he wept bitterly.

63. യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചവര് അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു കണ്ണുകെട്ടി തല്ലി

63. And, the men who held him bound, kept mocking him, with blows;

64. പ്രവചിക്ക; നിന്നെ അടിച്ചവന് ആര് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു

64. and, blindfolding him, questioned him, saying Prophesy! which is he that smote thee?

65. മറ്റു പലതും അവനെ ദുഷിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

65. and, many other things, with profane speech, were they saying unto him.

66. നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോള് ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരായ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും വന്നുകൂടി അവനെ ന്യായാധിപസംഘത്തില് വരുത്തിനീ ക്രിസ്തു എങ്കില് ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

66. And, when it became day, the Eldership of the people was gathered together both High-priests and Scribes, and they led him away into their high-council, saying If, thou, art the Christ, tell us!

67. അവന് അവരോടുഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞാല് നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല;

67. But he said unto them If I should tell, you, in nowise would ye believe,

68. ഞാന് ചോദിച്ചാല് ഉത്തരം പറയുകയുമില്ല.

68. And, if I should put questions, in nowise would ye answer;

69. എന്നാല് ഇന്നുമുതല് മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന് ദൈവശക്തിയുടെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

69. But, henceforth, shall the Son of Man be seated on the right hand of the power of God.

70. എന്നാല് നീ ദൈവപുത്രന് തന്നെയോ എന്നു എല്ലാവരും ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുനിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നതു ശരി; ഞാന് ആകുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

70. And they all said Thou, then, art the Son of God? And, he, unto them said Ye, say it , because, I, am.

71. അപ്പോള് അവര് ഇനി സാക്ഷ്യംകൊണ്ടു നമുക്കു എന്തു ആവശ്യം? നാം തന്നേ അവന്റെ വാമൊഴി കേട്ടുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

71. And, they, said What, further, need have we, of witness? We ourselves, have heard it from his mouth.
