1. ജനം കേള്ക്കെ തന്റെ വചനം ഒക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞുതീര്ന്ന ശേഷം അവന് കഫര്ന്നഹൂമില് ചെന്നു.

1. Whan he had ended his talkynge vnto the people, he wente in to Capernaum:

2. അവിടെ ഒരു ശതാധിപന്നു പ്രിയനായ ദാസന് ദീനം പിടിച്ചു മരിപ്പാറായിരുന്നു.

2. and a captaynes seruaunt laye deed sicke, whom he loued.

3. അവന് യേശുവിന്റെ വസ്തുത കേട്ടിട്ടു, അവന് വന്നു തന്റെ ദാസനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടിതിന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാന് യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചു.

3. Wha he herde of Iesus, he sent the elders of the Iewes vnto him, and prayed him, that he wolde come, and make his seruaunt whole.

4. അവന് യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു അവനോടു താല്പര്യമായി അപേക്ഷിച്ചുനീ അതു ചെയ്തുകൊടുപ്പാന് അവന് യോഗ്യന് ;

4. But wha they came to Iesus, they besought him instantly, & sayde: He is worthy yt thou shuldest shewe this for him,

5. അവന് നമ്മുടെ ജനത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒരു പള്ളിയും തീര്പ്പിച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. for he loueth oure people, & hath buylded vs ye synagoge.

6. യേശു അവരോടുകൂടെ പോയി, വീട്ടിനോടു അടുപ്പാറായപ്പോള് ശതാധിപന് സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചുകര്ത്താവേ, പ്രയാസപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നി എന്റെ പുരെക്കകത്തു വരുവാന് ഞാന് പോരാത്തവന് .

6. And Iesus wente wt them.Now whan they were not farre from ye house, ye captaine sent fredes vnto hi, saiege vnto him: Oh LORDE, trouble not thy self, I am not worthy, yt thou shuldest enter vnder my rofe,

7. അതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുവാന് ഞാന് യോഗ്യന് എന്നു എനിക്കു തോന്നിട്ടില്ല. ഒരു വാക്കു കല്പിച്ചാല് എന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരന്നു സൌഖ്യംവരും.

7. and therfore I thought not my self worthy to come to ye: but speake ye worde, & my seruaut shalbe whole.

8. ഞാനും അധികാരത്തിന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ട മനുഷ്യന് ; എന്റെ കീഴില് പടയാളികള് ഉണ്ടു; ഒരുവനോടു പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് പോകുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുവനോടു വരിക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് വരുന്നു; എന്റെ ദാസനോടുഇതു ചെയ്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

8. For I my self also am a ma, subiecte to the hygher auctorite, & haue soudyers vnder me. And I saye vnto one: Go, & he goeth. And to another: Come, & he cometh. And to my seruaut: Do this, & he doeth it.

9. യേശു അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവങ്കല് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി, അനുഗമിക്കുന്നക്കുട്ടത്തോടുയിസ്രായേലില്കൂടെ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള വിശ്വാസം ഞാന് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു;

9. Whan Iesus herde yt, he marueyled at hi, & turned him aboute, & sayde vnto ye people yt folowed hi: I saye vnto you: So greate faith haue I not founde, no not in Israel.

10. ശതാധിപന് പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിരുന്നവര് വീട്ടില് മടങ്ങി വന്നപ്പോള് ദാസനെ സൌഖ്യത്തോടെ കണ്ടു.

10. And wha they that were sent, came home agayne, they founde the seruaut that was sicke, whole.

11. പിറ്റെന്നാള് അവന് നയിന് എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോള് അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരും വളരെ പുരുഷാരവും കൂടെ പോയി.

11. And it fortuned afterwarde, that he wete in to a cite called Naim, and many of his disciples wente with him, and moch people.

12. അവന് പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ വാതിലോടു അടുത്തപ്പോള് മരിച്ചുപോയ ഒരുത്തനെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു; അവന് അമ്മകൂ ഏകജാതനായ മകന് ; അവളോ വിധവ ആയിരുന്നു. പട്ടണത്തിലെ ഒരു വലിയ പുരുഷാരവും അവളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

12. Whan he came nye to the gate of the cite, beholde, there was caried out one deed, which was the onely sonne of his mother, and she was a wyddowe, and moch people of the cite wente with her.

13. അവളെ കണ്ടിട്ടു കര്ത്താവു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അവളോടുകരയേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവന് അടുത്തു ചെന്നു മഞ്ചം തൊട്ടു ചുമക്കുന്നവര് നിന്നു.

13. And whan the LORDE sawe her, he had copassion on her, and sayde vnto her: Wepe not.

14. ബാല്യക്കാരാ എഴുന്നേല്ക്ക എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

14. And he came nye, and touched the Coffyn. And they that bare him, stode styll. And he sayde: Yonge man, I saye vnto the: Aryse.

15. മരിച്ചവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഇരുന്നു സംസാരിപ്പാന് തുടങ്ങി; അവന് അവനെ അമ്മെക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

15. And the deed sat vp, and beganne to speake. And he delyuered him vnto his mother.

16. എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ഭയംപിടിച്ചുഒരു വലിയ പ്രവാചകന് നമ്മുടെ ഇടയില് എഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം തന്റെ ജനത്തെ സന്ദര്ശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചു.

16. And there came a feare on them all, and they praysed God, and sayde: A greate prophet is rysen amonge vs, and God hath vysited his people.

17. അവനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഈ ശ്രുതി യെഹൂദ്യയില് ഒക്കെയും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള നാടെങ്ങും പരന്നു.

17. And this fame of him was noysed in all Iewry, and in all ye regions that laye rounde aboute.

18. ഇതു ഒക്കെയും യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

18. And the disciples of Iho shewed him of all these thinges.

19. എന്നാറെ യോഹന്നാന് തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് രണ്ടുപേരെ വിളിച്ചു, കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചുവരുവാനുള്ളവന് നീയോ? അല്ല, ഞങ്ങള് മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

19. And Ihon called vnto him two of his disciples, and sent the vnto Iesus sayenge: Art thou he that shal come, or shal we loke for another?

20. ആ പുരുഷന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുവരുവാനുള്ളവന് നീയോ? അല്ല, ഞങ്ങള് മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ എന്നു ചോദിപ്പാന് യോഹന്നാന് സ്നാപകന് ഞങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. Whan the men came to him, they sayde: Ihon ye baptist hath sent vs vnto the, sayenge: Art thou he that shal come, or shal we loke for another?

21. ആ നാഴികയില് അവന് വ്യാധികളും ദണ്ഡങ്ങളും ദുരാത്മാക്കളും പിടിച്ച പലരെയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും പല കുരുടന്മാര്ക്കും കാഴ്ച നലകുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ടു അവരോടു

21. At the same houre healed he many from sicknesses & plages, and fro euell spretes, and vnto many that were blynde, he gaue sight.

22. കുരുടര് കാണുന്നു; മുടന്തര് നടക്കുന്നു; കുഷ്ഠരോഗികള് ശുദ്ധരായിത്തീരുന്നു; ചെകിടര് കേള്ക്കുന്നു; മരിച്ചവര് ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നു; ദിരദ്രന്മാരോടു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് കാണുകയും കേള്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു യോഹന്നാനെ ചെന്നു അറിയിപ്പിന് .
യെശയ്യാ 35:5-6, യെശയ്യാ 61:1

22. And Iesus answered, & sayde vnto the: Go yor waye, shewe Ihon, what ye haue sene & herde. The blynde se, the halt go, the lepers are clensed, the deaf heare, the deed aryse, the Gospell is preached vnto ye poore,

23. എന്നാല് എങ്കല് ഇടറിപ്പോകാത്തവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

23. and blessed is he, that is not offended at me.

24. യോഹന്നാന്റെ ദൂതന്മാര് പോയശേഷം അവന് പുരുഷാരത്തോടു യോഹന്നാനെക്കുറിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങിയതുനിങ്ങള് എന്തു കാണ്മാന് മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പോയി? കാറ്റിനാല് ഉലയുന്ന ഔടയോ?

24. Whan the messaungers of Iho were departed, Iesus begane to speake vnto ye people cocernynge Iho: What are ye gone out for to se in ye wyldernesse? Wolde ye se a rede, that is shake wt the wynde?

25. അല്ല, എന്തു കാണ്മാന് പോയി? മാര്ദ്ദവവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച മനുഷ്യനെയോ? മോടിയുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു സുഖഭോഗികളായി നടക്കുന്നവര് രാജധാനികളില് അത്രേ.

25. Or what are ye gone out for to se? Wolde ye se a ma clothed in soft rayment? Beholde, they that are gorgiously arayed, & lyue delycately, are in kynges courtes.

26. അല്ല, എന്തു കാണ്മാന് പോയി? ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെയൊ? അതേ, പ്രവാചകനിലും മികച്ചവനെ തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു

26. Or what are ye gone out for to se? Wolde ye se a prophet? Yee I saye vnto you: one that is more the a prophet.

27. “ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൂതനെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി അയയക്കുന്നു; അവന് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിനക്കു വഴി ഒരുക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു അവനെക്കുറിച്ചാകുന്നു.

27. This is he, of whom it is wrytten: Beholde, I sende my messaunger before yi face, which shal prepare thy waye before the.

28. സ്ത്രീകളില് നിന്നു ജനിച്ചവരില് യോഹന്നാനെക്കാള് വലിയവന് ആരുമില്ല; ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില് ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയവനോ അവനിലും വലിയവന് എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.--

28. For I saye vnto you: Amonge the yt are borne of weme, there is no greater prophet the Ihon the baptist. Notwith stondynge he that is lesse in the kyngdome of God, is greater then he.

29. എന്നാല് ജനം ഒക്കെയും ചുങ്കക്കാരും കേട്ടിട്ടു യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റതിനാല് ദൈവത്തെ നീതീകരിച്ചു.

29. And all the people that herde him, and ye publicans, iustified God, and were baptysed with the baptyme of Ihon.

30. എങ്കിലും പരീശന്മാരും ന്യായശാസ്ത്രിമാരും അവനാല് സ്നാനം ഏല്ക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലോചന തങ്ങള്ക്കു വൃഥാവാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. -

30. But the Pharises and scrybes despysed ye councell of God against theselues, & were not baptised of hi.

31. ഈ തലമുറയിലെ മനുഷ്യരെ ഏതിനോടു ഉപമിക്കേണ്ടു? അവര് ഏതിനോടു തുല്യം?

31. But the LORDE saide: Where vnto shal I licken the men of this generacion? And whom are they like?

32. ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കായി കുഴലൂതി, നിങ്ങള് നൃത്തം ചെയ്തില്ല; ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കായി വിലാപം പാടി, നിങ്ങള് കരഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു ചന്തസ്ഥലത്തു ഇരുന്നു അന്യോന്യം വിളിച്ചു പറയുന്ന കുട്ടികളോടു അവര് തുല്യര്.

32. They are like vnto childre which syt in the market, and crye one to another, and saye: We haue pyped vnto you, and ye haue not daunsed: we haue mourned vnto you, & ye haue not wepte.

33. യോഹന്നാന് സ്നാപകന് അപ്പം തിന്നാതെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കാതെയും വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നു.

33. For Ihon ye baptist came, and ate no bred, and drake no wyne, and ye saye: he hath ye deuell.

34. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തിന്നും കുടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; തിന്നിയും കുടിയനും ആയ മനുഷ്യന് ചുങ്കക്കാരുടെയും പാപികളുടെയും സ്നേഹിതന് എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നു.

34. The sonne of man is come, eateth and drynketh, & ye saye: This man is a glutton and a wyne bebber, a frende of publicans and synners.

35. ജ്ഞാനമോ തന്റെ എല്ലാ മക്കളാലും നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

35. And wyssdome is iustified of all hir children.

36. പരീശന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന് തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാന് അവനെ ക്ഷണിച്ചു; അവന് പരീശന്റെ വീട്ടില് ചെന്നു ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരുന്നു.

36. And one of the Pharises desyred him, yt he wolde eate with him. And he wente in to the Pharises house, and sat him downe at ye table.

37. ആ പട്ടണത്തില് പാപിയായ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ, അവന് പരീശന്റെ വീട്ടില് ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു അറിഞ്ഞു ഒരു വെണ്കല്ഭരണി പരിമളതൈലം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു,

37. And beholde, there was in the cite a woma, which was a synner. Whe she knewe that Iesus sat at the table in the Pharises house, she brought a boxe with oyntment,

38. പുറകില് അവന്റെ കാല്ക്കല് കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നു കണ്ണിനീര്കൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ കാല് നനെച്ചുതുടങ്ങി; തലമുടികൊണ്ടു തുടെച്ചു കാല് ചുംബിച്ചു തൈലം പൂശി.

38. & stode behynde at his fete, and wepte, and beganne to water his fete with teares, and to drye the wt the hayres of hir heade, and kyssed his fete, & anoynted the with oyntmet.

39. അവനെ ക്ഷണിച്ച പരീശന് അതു കണ്ടിട്ടുഇവന് പ്രവാചകന് ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കില്, തന്നെ തൊടുന്ന സ്ത്രീ ആരെന്നും എങ്ങനെയുള്ളവള് എന്നും അറിയുമായിരുന്നു; അവള് പാപിയല്ലോ എന്നു ഉള്ളില് പറഞ്ഞു

39. But whan the Pharise which had called him sawe that, he spake within himself, and sayde: Yf this ma were a prophet, he wolde knowe who, & what maner of woman this is that toucheth him, for she is a synner.

40. ശിമോനേ, നിന്നോടു ഒന്നു പറവാനുണ്ടു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നുഗുരോ, പറഞ്ഞാലും എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

40. And Iesus answered, and saide vnto him: Simo, I haue somewhat to saye vnto the. He sayde: Master saye on.

41. കടം കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരുത്തന്നു രണ്ടു കടക്കാര് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഒരുത്തന് അഞ്ഞൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശും മറ്റവന് അമ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശും കൊടുപ്പാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

41. A certayne lender had two detters, the one ought fyue hundreth pens, the other fiftie:

42. വീട്ടുവാന് അവര്ക്കും വക ഇല്ലായ്കയാല് അവന് ഇരുവര്ക്കും ഇളെച്ചുകൊടുത്തു; എന്നാല് അവരില് ആര് അവനെ അധികം സ്നേഹിക്കും?

42. but whan they had nothinge to paye, he forgaue the both. Tell me which of them wyl loue him most?

43. അധികം ഇളെചചുകിട്ടിയവന് എന്നു ഞാന് ഊഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ശിമോന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവന് അവനോടുനീ വിധിച്ചതു ശരി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. സ്ത്രിയുടെ നേരെ തരിഞ്ഞു ശിമോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുഈ സ്ത്രീയെ കാണുന്നുവോ? ഞാന് നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് വന്നു, നീ എന്റെ കാലിന്നു വെള്ളം തന്നില്ല; ഇവളോ കണ്ണുനീര്കൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കാല് നനെച്ചു തലമുടികൊണ്ടു തുടെച്ചു.

43. Symon answered, and sayde: He, (I suppose) to who he forgaue most. Then sayde he vnto him: Thou hast iudged right.

44. നീ എനിക്കു ചുംബനം തന്നില്ല; ഇവളോ ഞാന് അകത്തു വന്നതു മുതല് ഇടവിടാതെ എന്റെ കാല് ചുംബിച്ചു.

44. And he turned him to the woman, and sayde vnto Symo: Seist thou this woma? I am come in to thine house, thou hast geue me no water vnto my fete, but she hath watred my fete with teares, and dryed the wt the hayres of hir heade:

45. നീ എന്റെ തലയില് തൈലം പൂശിയില്ല; ഇവളോ പരിമള തൈലംകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ കാല് പൂശി.

45. Thou hast geue me no kysse, but she (sens the tyme she came in) hath not ceassed to kysse my fete:

46. ആകയാല് ഇവളുടെ അനേകമായ പാപങ്ങള് മോചിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു; അവള് വളരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചുവല്ലോ; അല്പം മോചിച്ചുകിട്ടിയവന് അല്പം സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 23:5

46. Thou hast not anointed my heade wt oyle, but she hath anoynted my heade with oyntment.

47. പിന്നെ അവന് അവളോടുനിന്റെ പാപങ്ങള് മോചിച്ചു തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

47. Therfore I saye vnto the: Many synnes are forgeuen her, for she hath loued moch. But vnto whom lesse is forgeuen, the same loueth the lesse.

48. അവനോടു കൂടെ പന്തിയില് ഇരുന്നവര്പാപമോചനവും കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഇവന് ആര് എന്നു തമ്മില് പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങി.

48. And he sayde vnto her: Thy synnes are forgeuen the.

49. അവനോ സ്ത്രീയോടുനിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സമാധാനത്തോടെ പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

49. Then they that sat at the table with him, beganne to saye within them selues: What is he this, that forgeueth synnes also?
