1. ഞാന് സാക്ഷാല് മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയും എന്റെ പിതാവു തോട്ടക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു.

1. I am a true vyne, and my father is an hussbande man.

2. എന്നില് കായ്ക്കാത്ത കൊമ്പു ഒക്കെയും അവന് നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; കായക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും അധികം ഫലം കായ്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ചെത്തി വെടിപ്പാക്കുന്നു.

2. Euery braunch that bringeth not forth frute in me, shal he cut of: and euery one that bryngeth forth frute, shal he pourge, yt it maye bringe forth more frute.

3. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ച വചനം നിമിത്തം നിങ്ങള് ഇപ്പോള് ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരാകുന്നു.

3. Now are ye cleane, because of the worde, that I haue spoke vnto you.

4. എന്നില് വസിപ്പിന് ; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളിലും വസിക്കും; കൊമ്പിന്നു മുന്തിരവള്ളിയില് വസിച്ചിട്ടല്ലാതെ സ്വയമായി കായ്പാന് കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ എന്നില് വസിച്ചിട്ടല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴികയില്ല.

4. Byde ye in me, and I in you. Like as ye braunch can not brynge forth frute of it self excepte it byde in the vyne, Euen so nether ye also, excepte ye abyde in me.

5. ഞാന് മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയും നിങ്ങള് കൊമ്പുകളും ആകുന്നു; ഒരുത്തന് എന്നിലും ഞാന് അവനിലും വസിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അവന് വളരെ ഫലം കായക്കും; എന്നെ പിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഒന്നും ചെയ്വാന് കഴികയില്ല.

5. I am the vyne, ye are the braunches. He that abydeth in me, and I in him, the same bryngeth forth moch frute: for without me can ye do nothinge.

6. എന്നില് വസിക്കാത്തവനെ ഒരു കൊമ്പുപോലെ പുറത്തു കളഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; ആ വക ചേര്ത്തു തീയില് ഇടുന്നു;

6. He that abydeth not in me, is cast out as a vyne braunche, and it wythereth, and men gather it vp, and cast it in to the fyre, and it burneth.

7. അതു വെന്തുപോകും. നിങ്ങള് എന്നിലും എന്റെ വചനം നിങ്ങളിലും വസിച്ചാല് നിങ്ങള് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു എന്തെങ്കിലും അപേക്ഷിപ്പിന് ; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കിട്ടും.

7. Yf ye abyde in me, and my wordes abyde in you, ye shal axe what ye wyl, & it shal be done vnto you.

8. നിങ്ങള് വളരെ ഫലം കായക്കുന്നതിനാല് എന്റെ പിതാവു മഹത്വപ്പെടുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ആകും.

8. Herin is my father praysed, that ye brynge forth moch frute, and become my disciples.

9. പിതാവു എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാനും നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തില് വസിപ്പിന് .

9. Like as my father hath loued me, eue so haue I loued you. Cotynue ye i my loue.

10. ഞാന് എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തില് വസിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിച്ചാല് എന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തില് വസിക്കും.

10. Yf ye kepe my comaundementes, ye shal cotynue in my loue: like as I haue kepte my fathers comaundementes, and cotynue in his loue.

11. എന്റെ സന്തോഷം നിങ്ങളില് ഇരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തോഷം പൂര്ണ്ണമാകുവാനും ഞാന് ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. These thinges haue I spoken vnto you, that my ioye might remayne in you, and yt youre ioye might be perfecte.

12. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളും തമ്മില് തമ്മില് സ്നേഹിക്കേണം എന്നാകുന്നു എന്റെ കല്പന.

12. This is my comaundement, that ye loue together, as I haue loued you.

13. സ്നേഹിതന്മാര്ക്കുംവേണ്ടി ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതിലും അധികമുള്ള സ്നേഹം ആര്ക്കും ഇല്ല.

13. No man hath greater loue, then to set his life for his frende.

14. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതു ചെയ്താല് നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാര് തന്നേ

14. Ye are my frendes, yf ye do that I commaunde you.

15. യജമാനന് ചെയ്യുന്നതു ദാസന് അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ദാസന്മാര് എന്നു ഇനി പറയുന്നില്ല; ഞാന് എന്റെ പിതാവിനോടു കേട്ടതു എല്ലാം നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാര് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. Hence forth call I you not seruauntes, for a seruaunt knoweth not what his lorde doeth. But I haue sayde that ye are frendes: For all that I haue herde of my father, haue I shewed vnto you.

16. നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു എന്നല്ല, ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, നിങ്ങള് പോയി ഫലം കായ്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം നിലനില്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങളേ ആക്കിവെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ നാമത്തില് പിതാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും അവന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തരുവാനായിട്ടു തന്നേ.

16. Ye haue not chosen me, but I haue chosen you, and ordeyned you, that ye go, and bringe forth frute, and that youre frute contynne, that what soeuer ye axe the father in my name, he shulde geue it you.

17. നിങ്ങള് തമ്മില് തമ്മില് സ്നേഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

17. This I commaunde you, that ye loue one another.

18. ലോകം നിങ്ങളെ പകെക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മുമ്പെ എന്നെ പകെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിവിന് .

18. Yf the worlde hate you, then knowe, that it hath hated me before you.

19. നിങ്ങള് ലോകക്കാര് ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കില് ലോകം തനിക്കു സ്വന്തമായതിനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് ലോകക്കാരായിരിക്കാതെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ലോകത്തില് നിന്നു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു ലോകം നിങ്ങളെ പകെക്കുന്നു.

19. Yf ye were of the worlde, the worlde wolde loue his awne. Howbeit because ye are not of the worlde, but I haue chosen you from the worlde, therfore the worlde hateth you.

20. ദാസന് യജമാനനെക്കാള് വലിയവനല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു ഔര്പ്പിന് . അവര് എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങളെയും ഉപദ്രവിക്കും; എന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിച്ചു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങളുടേതും പ്രമാണിക്കും.

20. Remembre my worde, that I sayde vnto you: The seruaunt is not greater then his lorde. Yf they haue persecuted me, they shal persecute you also: Yf they haue kepte my worde, they shal kepe yours also.

21. എങ്കിലും എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ അവര് അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ നാമം നിമിത്തം ഇതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യും.

21. But all this shal they do vnto you for my names sake, because they knowe not him yt sent me.

22. ഞാന് വന്നു അവരോടു സംസാരിക്കാതിരുന്നെങ്കില് അവര്ക്കും പാപം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ അവരുടെ പാപത്തിന്നു ഒഴികഴിവില്ല.

22. Yf I had not come & spoke vnto the, the shulde they haue no synne But now haue they nothinge to cloake their synne withall.

23. എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവന് എന്റെ പിതാവിനെയും പകെക്കുന്നു.

23. He yt hateth me, hateth my father also.

24. മറ്റാരും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലാത്ത പ്രവൃത്തികളെ ഞാന് അവരുടെ ഇടയില് ചെയ്തിരുന്നില്ല എങ്കില് അവര്ക്കും പാപം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ അവര് എന്നെയും എന്റെ പിതാവിനെയും കാണ്കയും പകെക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. Yf I had not done amoge the the workes which no other ma dyd, they shulde haue no synne. But now haue they sene it, and yet haue they hated both me & my father.

25. “അവര് വെറുതെ എന്നെ പകെച്ചു” എന്നു അവരുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന വചനം നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

25. Neuertheles that the sayenge might be fulfilled, which is wrytten in their lawe: They haue hated me without a cause.

26. ഞാന് പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അയപ്പാനുള്ള കാര്യസ്ഥനായി പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന സത്യാത്മാവു വരുമ്പോള് അവന് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയും.

26. But wha the comforter commeth, who I shal sende you from the father eue the sprete of trueth which proceadeth of the father, he shal testifie of me

27. നിങ്ങളും ആദിമുതല് എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കകൊണ്ടു സാക്ഷ്യം പറവിന് .

27. and ye shal beare wytnesse also: for ye haue bene with me from the begynnynge.
