1. ജാതികളും ദൈവവചനം കൈകൊണ്ടു എന്നു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും യെഹൂദ്യയിലുള്ള സഹോദരന്മാരും കേട്ടു.

1. And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of YHWH.

2. പത്രൊസ് യെരൂശലേമില് എത്തിയപ്പോള് പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാര് അവനോടു വാദിച്ചു

2. And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

3. നീ അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു അവരോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

4. പത്രൊസ് കാര്യം ആദിമുതല് ക്രമമായി അവരോടു വിവരിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞതു

4. But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

5. ഞാന് യോപ്പാപട്ടണത്തില് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് വിവശതയില് ഒരുദര്ശനം കണ്ടുആകാശത്തില്നിന്നു നാലു കോണും കെട്ടി ഇറക്കിയ വലിയ തുപ്പട്ടിപോലെ ഒരു പാത്രം എന്റെ അടുക്കലോളം വന്നു.

5. I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

6. അതില് ഞാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കിയപ്പോള് ഭൂമിയിലെ നാല്ക്കാലികളെയും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെയും ഇഴജാതികളെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളെയും കണ്ടു

6. Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

7. പത്രൊസേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു അറുത്തു തിന്നുക എന്നു എന്നോടു പറയുന്നോരു ശബ്ദവും കേട്ടു.

7. And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

8. അതിന്നു ഞാന് ഒരിക്കലും പാടില്ല, കര്ത്താവേ; മലിനമോ അശുദ്ധമോ ആയതൊന്നും ഒരിക്കലും എന്റെ വായില് ചെന്നിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. But I said, Not so, Master: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

9. ആ ശബ്ദം പിന്നെയും ആകാശത്തില് നിന്നുദൈവം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതു നീ മലിനം എന്നു വിചാരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

9. But the voice answered me again from heaven, What YHWH hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

10. ഇതു മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ഉണ്ടായി; പിന്നെ എല്ലാം തിരികെ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു വലിച്ചെടുത്തു.

10. And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

11. അപ്പോള് തന്നേ കൈസര്യയില് നിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരുന്ന മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാര് ഞങ്ങള് പാര്ത്ത വീട്ടിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നിരുന്നു;

11. And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

12. ഒന്നും സംശയിക്കാതെ അവരോടുകൂടെ പോകുവാന് ആത്മാവു എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചു. ഈ ആറു സഹോദരന്മാരും എന്നോടുകൂടെ പോന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് ആ പുരുഷന്റെ വീട്ടില് ചെന്നു.

12. And the spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the mans house:

13. അവന് തന്റെ വീട്ടില് ഒരു ദൂതന് നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു എന്നും നീ യോപ്പയിലേക്കു ആളയച്ചു പത്രൊസ് എന്നു മറുപേരുള്ള ശിമോനെ വരുത്തുക;

13. And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

14. നീയും നിന്റെ ഗൃഹം മുഴുവനും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുള്ള വാക്കുകളെ അവന് നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കും എന്നു ദൂതന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നും ഞങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചു.

14. Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

15. ഞാന് സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോഴേക്കു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ആദിയില് നമ്മുടെമേല് എന്നപോലെ അവരുടെ മേലും വന്നു.

15. And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് യോഹന്നാന് വെള്ളംകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു; നിങ്ങള്ക്കോ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം ലഭിക്കും എന്നു കര്ത്താവു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു ഔര്ത്തു.

16. Then remembered I the word of Yahushua, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

17. ആകയാല് കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസിച്ചവരായ നമുക്കു തന്നതുപോലെ അതേ ദാനത്തെ അവര്ക്കും ദൈവം കൊടുത്തു എങ്കില് ദൈവത്തെ തടുപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് ആര്?

17. Forasmuch then as YHWH gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on Yahushua the Messiah; what was I, that I could withstand YHWH?

18. അവര് ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോള് മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നുഅങ്ങനെ ആയാല് ദൈവം ജാതികള്ക്കും ജീവപ്രാപ്തിക്കായി മാനസാന്തരം നല്കിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

18. When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified YHWH, saying, Then hath YHWH also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

19. സ്തെഫാനൊസ് നിമിത്തം ഉണ്ടായ ഉപദ്രവം ഹേതുവാല് ചിതറിപ്പോയവര് യെഹൂദന്മാരോടല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരോടും വചനം സംസാരിക്കാതെ ഫൊയ്നിക്യാ, കുപ്രൊസ്, അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യ എന്നീ പ്രദേശങ്ങളോളം സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

19. Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

20. അവരില് ചിലര് കുപ്രൊസ്കാരും കുറേനക്കാരും ആയിരുന്നു; അവര് അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയില്എത്തിയശേഷം യവനന്മാരോടും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചു.

20. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching Yahushua the Messiah.

21. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ കൈ അവരോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; വലിയൊരു കൂട്ടം വിശ്വസിച്ചു കര്ത്താവിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു.

21. And the hand of YHWH was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto YHWH.

22. അവരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഈ വര്ത്തമാനം യെരൂശലേമിലെ സഭയുടെ ചെവിയില് എത്തിയപ്പോള് അവര് ബര്ന്നബാസിനെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയോളം പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

22. Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the assembly which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

23. അവന് ചെന്നു ദൈവകൃപ കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിച്ചു. എല്ലാവരും ഹൃദയനിര്ണ്ണയത്തോടെ കര്ത്താവിനോടു ചേര്ന്നുനില്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

23. Who, when he came, and had seen the favor of YHWH, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto YHWH.

24. അവന് നല്ല മനുഷ്യനും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാലും വിശ്വാസത്താലും നിറഞ്ഞവനും ആയിരുന്നു; വളരെ പുരുഷന്മാരും കര്ത്താവിനോടു ചേര്ന്നു.

24. For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith: and much people was added unto YHWH.

25. അവന് ശൌലിനെ തിരവാന് തര്സൊസിലേക്കു പോയി, അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയാറെ അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

25. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

26. അവര് ഒരു സംവത്സരം മുഴുവനും സഭായോഗങ്ങളില് കൂടുകയും ബഹുജനത്തെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്തു; ആദ്യം അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയില്വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും ക്രിസ്ത്യാനികള് എന്നു പേര് ഉണ്ടായി.

26. And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the assembly, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

27. ആ കാലത്തു യെരൂശലേമില് നിന്നു പ്രവാചകന്മാര് അന്ത്യൊക്ക്യയിലേക്കു വന്നു.

27. And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

28. അവരില് അഗബൊസ് എന്നു പേരുള്ളൊരുവന് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ലോകത്തില് ഒക്കെയും മഹാക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ആത്മാവിനാല് പ്രവചിച്ചു; അതു ക്ളൌദ്യൊസിന്റെ കാലത്തു സംഭവിച്ചു.

28. And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

29. അപ്പോള് യെഹൂദ്യയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഉതവിക്കായി ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് ഔരോരുത്തന് പ്രാപ്തിപോലെ കൊടുത്തയപ്പാന് നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.

29. Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

30. അവര് അതു നടത്തി, ബര്ന്നബാസിന്റെയും ശൌലിന്റെയും കയ്യില് മൂപ്പന്മാര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തയച്ചു.

30. Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
