1. ഞാനും, സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നപ്പോള് വചനത്തിന്റെയോ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയോ വൈഭവം കൂടാതെയത്രേ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് വന്നതു.

1. And I brethren when I came to you, came not in gloriousness of(in hye words) words or of wisdom, shewing unto you the testimony of God.(preaching of Christ)

2. ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും അറിയാത്തവനായി നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാന് നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചു.

2. Neither shewed I myself that I knew any thing among you save(save onely) Jesus Christ, even the same that was crucified.

3. ഞാന് ബലഹീനതയോടും ഭയത്തോടും വളരെ നടുക്കത്തോടുംകൂടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഇരുന്നു.

3. And I was among you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4. നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ജ്ഞാനമല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശക്തി തന്നേ ആധാരമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

4. And my words, and my preaching were not with enticing words of man's wisdom: but in shewing of the spirit and of power,

5. എന്റെ വചനവും എന്റെ പ്രസംഗവും ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വശീകരണവാക്കുകളാല് അല്ല, ആത്മാവിന്റെയും ശക്തിയുടെയും പ്രദര്ശനത്താലത്രേ ആയിരുന്നതു.

5. that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men: but in the power of God.

6. എന്നാല് തികഞ്ഞവരുടെ ഇടയില് ഞങ്ങള് ജ്ഞാനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനമല്ല നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നവരായ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ ജ്ഞാനവുമല്ല;

6. We speak that which(That we speak of) is wisdom among them that are perfect: not the wisdom of this world neither of the rulers of this world (which goeth to nought,)

7. ദൈവം ലോകസൃഷ്ടിക്കു മുമ്പെ നമ്മുടെ തേജസ്സിന്നായി മുന്നിയമിച്ചതും മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുമായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനമത്രേ മര്മ്മമായി ഞങ്ങള് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.

7. but we speak the wisdom of God, which is in secret and lieth hid, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8. അതു ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ആരും അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കില് അവര് തേജസ്സിന്റെ കര്ത്താവിനെ ക്രൂശിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു.

8. which wisdom none of the rulers of the world knew. For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:

9. “ദൈവം തന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ഒരുക്കീട്ടുള്ളതു കണ്ണു കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല ചെവി കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല, ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെയും ഹൃദയത്തില് തോന്നീട്ടുമില്ല.” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

9. but as it is written: The eye hath not seen, and the ear hath not heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10. നമുക്കോ ദൈവം തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനാല് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ആത്മാവു സകലത്തെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആഴങ്ങളെയും ആരായുന്നു.

10. But God hath opened them unto us by his spirit. For the spirit searcheth all things, yea the bottom of God's(Goddes) secrets.(even the deepness of the God head)

11. മനുഷ്യനിലുള്ളതു അവനിലെ മാനുഷാത്മാവല്ലാതെ മനുഷ്യരില് ആര് അറിയും? അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ ദൈവത്തിലുള്ളതു ദൈവാത്മാവല്ലാതെ ആരും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.
സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങൾ 20:27

11. For what man knoweth the things of a man: save the spirit of a man which is within him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God.

12. നാമോ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അല്ല, ദൈവം നമുക്കു നല്കിയതു അറിവാനായി ദൈവത്തില്നിന്നുള്ള ആത്മാവിനെ അത്രേ പ്രാപിച്ചതു.

12. And we have not received the spirit of the world: but the spirit which cometh of God, for to know the things that are given to us of God,

13. അതു ഞങ്ങള് മാനുഷജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളാല് അല്ല, ആത്മാവു ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളാല് തന്നേ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ആത്മികന്മാര്ക്കും ആത്മികമായതു തെളിയിക്കുന്നു.

13. which things also we speak, not in the cunning words of man's wisdom, but with the cunning words of the holy ghost, making spiritual comparisons of spiritual things.(and judge spiritual matters spiritually)

14. എന്നാല് പ്രാകൃത മനുഷ്യന് ദൈവാത്മാവിന്റെ ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ല; അതു അവന്നു ഭോഷത്വം ആകുന്നു. ആത്മികമായി വിവേചിക്കേണ്ടതാകയാല് അതു അവന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്നതുമല്ല.

14. For the natural man perceiveth not the things of the spirit of God: For they are but foolishness unto him. Neither can he perceive them because he is spiritually examined:(can not perceive it: for it must be spiritually discerned)

15. ആത്മികനോ സകലത്തെയും വിവേചിക്കുന്നു; താന് ആരാലും വിവേചിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

15. but he that is spiritual discusseth all things: yet he himself is judged of no man.

16. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ മനസ്സു അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കാകുന്നവന് ആര്? നാമോ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മനസ്സുള്ളവര് ആകുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 40:13

16. For who knoweth the mind of the Lord, other who shall inform him? but we understand the mind of Christ.
