1. എന്നാല് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളോടു എനിക്കു ആത്മികന്മാരോടു എന്നപോലെ അല്ല, ജഡികന്മാരോടു എന്നപോലെ, ക്രിസ്തുവില് ശിശുക്കളായവരോടു എന്നപോലെ അത്രേ സംസാരിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ളു.

1. Brothers and sisters, I couldn't speak to you as if you were guided by the Holy Spirit. I had to speak to you as if you were following the ways of the world. You aren't growing as Christ wants you to. You are still like babies.

2. ഭക്ഷണമല്ല, പാല് അത്രേ ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നതു; ഭക്ഷിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴിവില്ലായിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴും കഴിവായിട്ടില്ല; ഇന്നും നിങ്ങള് ജഡികന്മാരല്ലോ.

2. The words I spoke to you were like milk, not like solid food. You weren't ready for solid food yet. And you still aren't ready for it.

3. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഈര്ഷ്യയും പിണക്കവും ഇരിക്കെ, നിങ്ങള് ജഡികന്മാരും ശേഷം മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ നടക്കുന്നവരുമല്ലയോ?

3. You are still following the ways of the world. Some of you are jealous. Some of you argue. So aren't you following the ways of the world? Aren't you acting like ordinary human beings?

4. ഒരുത്തന് ഞാന് പൌലൊസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് എന്നും മറ്റൊരുത്തന് ഞാന് അപ്പൊല്ലോസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് എന്നും പറയുമ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് സാധാരണമനുഷ്യരല്ലയോ?

4. One of you says, 'I follow Paul.' Another says, 'I follow Apollos.' Aren't you acting like ordinary human beings?

5. അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് ആര്? പൌലൊസ് ആര്? തങ്ങള്ക്കു കര്ത്താവു നല്കിയതുപോലെ നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് കാരണമായിത്തീര്ന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരത്രേ.

5. After all, what is Apollos? And what is Paul? We are only people who serve. We helped you to believe. The Lord has given each of us our own work to do.

6. ഞാന് നട്ടു, അപ്പൊല്ലോസ് നനെച്ചു, ദൈവമത്രേ വളരുമാറാക്കിയതു.

6. I planted the seed. Apollos watered it. But God made it grow.

7. ആകയാല് വളരുമാറാക്കുന്ന ദൈവമല്ലാതെ നടുന്നവനും നനെക്കുന്നവനും ഏതുമില്ല.

7. So the one who plants is not important. The one who waters is not important. It is God who makes things grow. He is the One who is important.

8. നടുന്നവനും നനെക്കുന്നവനും ഒരുപോലെ; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു താന്താന്റെ അദ്ധ്വാനത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കൂലി കിട്ടും.

8. The one who plants and the one who waters have the same purpose. The Lord will give each of us a reward for our work.

9. ഞങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാര്; നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൃഷി, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഗൃഹനിര്മ്മാണം.

9. We work together with God. You are like God's field. You are like his building.

10. എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ച ദൈവകൃപെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഞാന് ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളോരു പ്രധാനശില്പിയായി അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മറ്റൊരുത്തന് മീതെ പണിയുന്നു; താന് എങ്ങനെ പണിയുന്നു എന്നു ഔരോരുത്തനും നോക്കിക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ.

10. God has given me the grace to lay a foundation as a master builder. Now someone else is building on it. But each one should build carefully.

11. യേശുക്രിസ്തു എന്ന ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനമല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നു ഇടുവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴികയില്ല.

11. No one can lay any other foundation than the one that has already been laid. That foundation is Jesus Christ.

12. ആ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേല് ആരെങ്കിലും പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, വിലയേറിയ കല്ലു, മരം, പുല്ലു, വൈക്കോല് എന്നിവ പണിയുന്നു എങ്കില് അവനവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും;

12. A person may build on it using gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw.

13. ആ ദിവസം അതിനെ തെളിവാക്കും; അതു തീയോടെ വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും; ഔരോരുത്തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ഇന്നവിധം എന്നു തീ തന്നേ ശോധന ചെയ്യും.

13. But each person's work will be shown for what it is. On judgment day it will be brought to light. It will be put through fire. The fire will test how good everyone's work is.

14. ഒരുത്തന് പണിത പ്രവൃത്തി നിലനിലക്കും എങ്കില് അവന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടും.

14. If the building doesn't burn up, God will give the builder a reward for his work.

15. ഒരുത്തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി വെന്തുപോയെങ്കില് അവന്നു ചേതം വരും; താനോ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; എന്നാല് തീയില്കൂടി എന്നപോലെ അത്രേ.

15. If the building burns up, the builder will lose everything. The builder will be saved, but only like one escaping through the flames.

16. നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരം എന്നും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളില് വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?

16. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple? God's Spirit lives in you.

17. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരം നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ ദൈവം നശിപ്പിക്കും; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ദിരം വിശുദ്ധമല്ലോ; നിങ്ങളും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

17. If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. God's temple is holy. And you are that temple.

18. ആരും തന്നെത്താന് വഞ്ചിക്കരുതു; താന് ഈ ലോകത്തില് ജ്ഞാനി എന്നു നിങ്ങളില് ആര്ക്കെങ്കിലും തോന്നിയാല് അവന് ജ്ഞാനിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഭോഷനായിത്തീരട്ടെ.

18. Don't fool yourselves. Suppose some of you think you are wise by the standards of the world. Then you should become a 'fool' so that you can become wise.

19. ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ഭോഷത്വമത്രേ. “അവന് ജ്ഞാനികളെ അവരുടെ കൌശലത്തില് പിടിക്കുന്നു” എന്നും

19. The wisdom of this world is foolish in God's eyes. It is written, 'God catches wise people in their own tricks.'--(Job 5:13)

20. “കര്ത്താവു ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ വിചാരം വ്യര്ത്ഥം എന്നറിയുന്നു” എന്നും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

20. It is also written, 'The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise don't amount to anything.'--(Psalm 94:11)

21. ആകയാല് ആരും മനുഷ്യരില് പ്രശംസിക്കരുതു; സകലവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ.

21. So no more bragging about human beings! All things are yours.

22. പൌലൊസോ, അപ്പൊല്ലൊസോ, കേഫാവോ, ലോകമോ, ജീവനോ, മരണമോ, ഇപ്പോഴുള്ളതോ, വരുവാനുള്ളതോ സകലവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതു.

22. That means Paul or Apollos or Peter or the world or life or death or the present or the future. All are yours.

23. നിങ്ങളോ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര്; ക്രിസ്തു ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ളവന് .

23. You are joined to Christ and belong to him. And Christ is joined to God.
