1. അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ പ്രിയരും വാഞ്ഛിതരുമായ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എന്റെ സന്തോഷവും കിരീടവുമായുള്ളോരേ, ഇങ്ങനെ കര്ത്താവില് നിലനില്പിന് , പ്രിയമുള്ളവരേ.

1. THEREFORE, MY brethren, whom I love and yearn to see, my delight and crown (wreath of victory), thus stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

2. കര്ത്താവില് ഏകചിന്തയോടിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് യുവൊദ്യയെയും സുന്തുകയെയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

2. I entreat and advise Euodia and I entreat and advise Syntyche to agree and to work in harmony in the Lord.

3. സാക്ഷാല് ഇണയാളിയായുള്ളോവേ, അവര്ക്കും തുണനില്ക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടും അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; ജീവപുസ്തകത്തില് പേരുള്ള ക്ളേമന്ത് മുതലായ എന്റെ കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാരുമായി ആ സ്ത്രീകള് എന്നോടുകൂടെ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തില് പോരാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

3. And I exhort you too, [my] genuine yokefellow, help these [two women to keep on cooperating], for they have toiled along with me in [the spreading of] the good news (the Gospel), as have Clement and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the Book of Life.

4. കര്ത്താവില് എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷിപ്പിന് ; സന്തോഷിപ്പിന് എന്നു ഞാന് പിന്നെയും പറയുന്നു.

4. Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! [Ps. 37:4.]

5. Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon].

6. ഒന്നിനെക്കുറിച്ചും വിചാരപ്പെടരുതു; എല്ലാറ്റിലും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയാലും അപേക്ഷയാലും നിങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങള് സ്തോത്രത്തോടുകൂടെ ദൈവത്തോടു അറിയിക്കയത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

6. Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

7. എന്നാല് സകലബുദ്ധിയേയും കവിയുന്ന ദൈവ സമാധാനം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും നിനവുകളെയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കല് കാക്കും.

7. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

8. ഒടുവില് സഹോദരന്മാരേ, സത്യമായതു ഒക്കെയും ഘനമായതു ഒക്കെയും നീതിയായതു ഒക്കെയും നിര്മ്മലമായതു ഒക്കെയും രമ്യമായതു ഒക്കെയും സല്കീര്ത്തിയായതു ഒക്കെയും സല്ഗുണമോ പുകഴ്ചയോ അതു ഒക്കെയും ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

8. For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

9. എന്നോടു പഠിച്ചും ഗ്രഹിച്ചും കേട്ടും കണ്ടുമുള്ളതു പ്രവര്ത്തിപ്പിന് ; എന്നാല് സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും.

9. Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.

10. നിങ്ങള് പിന്നെയും എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി വിചാരിപ്പാന് തുടങ്ങിയതിനാല് ഞാന് കര്ത്താവില് വളരെ സന്തോഷിച്ചു; മുമ്പെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിചാരമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എങ്കിലും അവസരം കിട്ടിയില്ല.

10. I was made very happy in the Lord that now you have revived your interest in my welfare after so long a time; you were indeed thinking of me, but you had no opportunity to show it.

11. ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു നിമിത്തമല്ല ഞാന് പറയുന്നതു; ഉള്ള അവസ്ഥയില് അലംഭാവത്തോടിരിപ്പാന് ഞാന് പഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു.

11. Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.

12. താഴ്ചയില് ഇരിപ്പാനും സമൃദ്ധിയില് ഇരിപ്പാനും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു അനുഭവിപ്പാനും എല്ലാം ഞാന് ശീലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.

13. എന്നെ ശക്തനാക്കുന്നവന് മുഖാന്തരം ഞാന് സകലത്തിന്നും മതിയാകുന്നു.

13. I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

14. എങ്കിലും എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയില് നിങ്ങള് കൂട്ടായ്മ കാണിച്ചതു നന്നായി.

14. But it was right and commendable and noble of you to contribute for my needs and to share my difficulties with me.

15. ഫിലിപ്പിയരേ, സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തിന്റെ ആരംഭത്തില് ഞാന് മക്കദോന്യയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടാറെ നിങ്ങള് മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ഒരു സഭയും വരവുചിലവുകാര്യത്തില് എന്നോടു കൂട്ടായ്മ കാണിച്ചില്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങളും അറിയുന്നു.

15. And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up [a debit and credit] account in giving and receiving except you only.

16. തെസ്സലൊനീക്യയിലും എന്റെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു തീര്പ്പാന് നിങ്ങള് ഒന്നുരണ്ടുവട്ടം അയച്ചു തന്നുവല്ലോ.

16. For even in Thessalonica you sent [me contributions] for my needs, not only once but a second time.

17. ഞാന് ദാനം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നല്ല, നിങ്ങളുടെ കണക്കിലേക്കു ഏറുന്ന ഫലം അത്രേ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു.

17. Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account].

18. ഇപ്പോള് എനിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്നതു എല്ലാം ഉണ്ടു; സമൃദ്ധിയായുമിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങള് അയച്ചുതന്നതു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായി ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദവും സുഗ്രാഹ്യവുമായ യാഗമായി എപ്പഫ്രൊദിത്തോസിന്റെ കയ്യാല് ഞാന് പ്രതിഗ്രഹിച്ചു തൃപ്തനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights.

19. എന്റെ ദൈവമോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു ഒക്കെയും മഹത്വത്തോടെ തന്റെ ധനത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് പൂര്ണ്ണമായി തീര്ത്തുതരും.

19. And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

20. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്നു എന്നെന്നേക്കും മഹത്വം. ആമേന് .

20. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever (through the endless eternities of the eternities). Amen (so be it).

21. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ഔരോ വിശുദ്ധനെയും വന്ദനം ചെയ്വിന് . എന്നോടുകൂടെയുള്ള സഹോദരന്മാര് നിങ്ങളെ വന്ദനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

21. Remember me to every saint (every born-again believer) in Christ Jesus. The brethren (my associates) who are with me greet you.

22. വിശുദ്ധന്മാര് എല്ലാവരും വിശേഷാല് കൈസരുടെ അരമനയിലുള്ളവരും നിങ്ങളെ വന്ദനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

22. All the saints (God's consecrated ones here) wish to be remembered to you, especially those of Caesar's household.

23. കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കൃപ നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാവിനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

23. The grace (spiritual favor and blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Anointed One) be with your spirit. Amen (so be it).
