1. പൌലൊസും സില്വാനൊസും തിമൊഥെയൊസും പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിലും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിലും ഉള്ള തെസ്സലൊനീക്യസഭെക്കു എഴുതുന്നതുനിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

1. Pavl, and Siluanus, and Timotheus, vnto the Church of the Thessalonians, which is in God the Father, and in the Lord Iesus Christ: Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.

2. ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയില് നിങ്ങളെ സ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ വേലയും സ്നേഹപ്രയത്നവും

2. We giue God thankes alwayes for you all, making mention of you in our prayers

3. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശിക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രത്യാശയുടെ സ്ഥിരതയും ഇടവിടാതെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവവും പിതാവുമായവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് ഔര്ത്തു

3. Without ceasing, remembring your effectuall faith, and diligent loue, and the patience of your hope in our Lord Iesus Christ, in the sight of God euen our Father,

4. ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങള്ക്കെല്ലാവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി എപ്പോഴും ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു. ദൈവത്താല് സ്നേഹിക്കപ്പെട്ട സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനെ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

4. Knowing, beloued brethren, that ye are elect of God.

5. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സുവിശേഷം വചനമായി മാത്രമല്ല, ശക്തിയോടും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവോടും ബഹുനിശ്ചയത്തോടും കൂടെ ആയിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് എങ്ങനെ പെരുമാറിയിരുന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

5. For our Gospell was not vnto you in worde only, but also in power, and in the holy Ghost, and in much assurance, as ye know after what maner we were among you for your sakes.

6. ബഹുകഷ്ടം സഹിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങള് പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ വചനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും കര്ത്താവിന്നും അനുകാരികളായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

6. And ye became followers of vs, and of the Lord, and receiued the worde in much affliction, with ioy of the holy Ghost,

7. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് മക്കെദൊന്യയിലും അഖായയിലും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും എല്ലാവര്ക്കും മാതൃകയായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

7. So that ye were as ensamples to all that beleeue in Macedonia and in Achaia.

8. നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നു കര്ത്താവിന്റെ വചനം മുഴങ്ങിച്ചെന്നതു മക്കെദൊന്യയിലും അഖായയിലും മാത്രമല്ല; എല്ലാടവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവത്തിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസം പ്രസിദ്ധമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് ഒന്നും പറവാന് ആവശ്യമില്ല.

8. For from you sounded out the worde of the Lord, not in Macedonia and in Achaia only: but your faith also which is toward God, spred abroad in all quarters, that we neede not to speake any thing.

9. ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് എങ്ങനെയുള്ള പ്രവേശനം സാധിച്ചു എന്നും ജീവനുള്ള സത്യദൈവത്തെ സേവിപ്പാനും അവന് മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്പ്പിച്ച തന്റെ പുത്രനും വരുവാനുള്ള കോപത്തില്നിന്നു നമ്മെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനുമായ യേശു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില്നിന്നു വരുന്നതു കാത്തിരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങള് വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു എങ്ങനെ തിരിഞ്ഞുവന്നു എന്നും അവര് തന്നെ പറയുന്നു.

9. For they themselues shew of vs what maner of entring in we had vnto you, and how ye turned to God from idoles, to serue the liuing and true God,
