1. ന്യായപ്രമാണം വരുവാനുള്ള നന്മകളുടെ നിഴലല്ലാതെ കാര്യങ്ങളുടെ സാക്ഷാല് സ്വരൂപമല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ആണ്ടുതോറും ഇടവിടാതെ കഴിച്ചുവരുന്ന അതേ യാഗങ്ങളാല് അടുത്തുവരുന്നവര്ക്കും സല്ഗുണപൂര്ത്തി വരുത്തുവാന് ഒരുനാളും കഴിവുള്ളതല്ല.

1. For the lawe, hauyng the shadow of good thynges to come, and not the very fashion of the thinges the selues, can neuer with those sacrifices whiche they offer yere by yere continually, make the commers therevnto perfect.

2. അല്ലെങ്കില് ആരാധനക്കാര്ക്കും ഒരിക്കല് ശുദ്ധിവന്നതിന്റെ ശേഷം പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മനോബോധം പിന്നെ ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നതു നിന്നുപോകയില്ലയോ?

2. For woulde not then those [sacrifices] haue ceassed to haue ben offred, because that the offerers once pourged, shoulde haue had no more conscience of sinnes?

3. ഇപ്പോഴോ ആണ്ടുതോറും അവയാല് പാപങ്ങളുടെ ഔര്മ്മ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു.

3. Neuerthelesse, in those (sacrifices) is mention made of sinnes euery yere.

4. കാളകളുടെയും ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയും രക്തത്തിന്നു പാപങ്ങളെ നീക്കുവാന് കഴിയുന്നതല്ല.

4. For it is not possible that the blood of Bulles & of Goates shoulde take away sinnes.

5. ആകയാല് ലോകത്തില് വരുമ്പോള്“ഹനനയാഗവും വഴിപാടും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല; എന്നാല് ഒരു ശരീരം നീ എനിക്കു ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Wherfore when he commeth into the worlde, he saith: Sacrifice and offring thou wouldest not haue, but a body hast thou ordeyned me.

6. സര്വ്വാംഗ ഹോമങ്ങളിലും പാപയാഗങ്ങളിലും നീ പ്രസാദിച്ചില്ല.

6. In burnt sacrifices & sinne (offerynges) thou hast had no pleasure.

7. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞുഇതാ, ഞാന് വരുന്നു; പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളില് എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്വാന് ഞാന് വരുന്നു” എന്നു അവന് പറയുന്നു.

7. Then sayde I, lo I come (In the begynnyng of the booke it is written of me) to do thy wyll O God.

8. ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം കഴിച്ചുവരുന്ന യാഗങ്ങളും വഴിപാടും സര്വ്വാംഗഹോമങ്ങളും പാപയാഗങ്ങളും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല അവയില് പ്രസാദിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞശേഷം

8. Aboue when he saith, that sacrifice, and offeryng, and burnt offeringes, and sinne [offerynges] thou wouldest not, neither haddest pleasure [therein] (which are offered by the lawe:)

9. ഇതാ, ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്വാന് വരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു അവന് രണ്ടാമത്തേതിനെ സ്ഥാപിപ്പാന് ഒന്നാമത്തേതിനെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.

9. Then sayde he, lo I come, to do thy wyll, O God. He taketh away ye first to stablyshe the seconde.

10. ആ ഇഷ്ടത്തില് നാം യേശു ക്രിസ്തു ഒരിക്കലായി കഴിച്ച ശരീരയാഗത്താല് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. In ye which wyll we are made holy, euen by the offeryng of the body of Iesus Christe once for all.

11. ഏതു പുരോഹിതനും ദിവസേന ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചും പാപങ്ങളെ പരിഹരിപ്പാന് ഒരുനാളും കഴിയാത്ത അതേ യാഗങ്ങളെ കൂടക്കൂടെ കഴിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു നിലക്കുന്നു.

11. And euery priest standeth dayly ministryng, & offeryng oftentymes the same sacrifices, whiche can neuer take away sinnes.

12. But this man, after he hath offered one sacrifice for sinnes, is sit downe for euer on the ryght hande of God:

13. From hencefoorth tarying tyl his foes be made his footstoole.

14. ഏകയാഗത്താല് അവന് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവര്ക്കും സദാകാലത്തേക്കും സല്ഗുണപൂര്ത്തി വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. For with one offeryng hath he made perfite for euer them that are sanctified.

15. അതു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവും നമുക്കു സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു.

15. And the holy ghost also beareth vs recorde: For after that he tolde before,

16. “ഈ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഞാന് അവരോടു ചെയ്വാനിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമം ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നുഎന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവരുടെ ഉള്ളിലാക്കി അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് എഴുതും എന്നു കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തശേഷം

16. This is the couenaunt that I wyll make vnto them after those dayes, (sayth the Lorde) geuyng my lawes in their heart, and in their myndes wyl I write them:

17. “അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെയും അകൃത്യങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് ഇനി ഔര്ക്കയുമില്ല” എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

17. And their sinnes and iniquities wyll I remember no more.

18. എന്നാല് ഇവയുടെ മോചനം ഉള്ളേടത്തു ഇനിമേല് പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഒരു യാഗവും ആവശ്യമില്ല.

18. And where remission of these thinges [is] there [is] no more offering for sinne.

19. അതുകൊണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരേ, യേശു തന്റെ ദേഹം എന്ന തിരശ്ശീലയില്കൂടി നമുക്കു പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച ജീവനുള്ള പുതുവഴിയായി,

19. Hauyng therefore brethren, libertie to enter into holy [places] in the blood of Iesus,

20. തന്റെ രക്തത്താല് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കുള്ള പ്രവേശനത്തിന്നു

20. By the new and lyuing way, which he hath prepared for vs through the vayle, that is to say his flesshe:

21. ധൈര്യ്യവും ദൈവാലയത്തിന്മേല് ഒരു മഹാപുരോഹിതനും നമുക്കുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു

21. And [seyng we haue] an hye priest ouer the house of God:

22. നാം ദുര്മ്മനസ്സാക്ഷി നീങ്ങുമാറു ഹൃദയങ്ങളില് തളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും ശുദ്ധവെള്ളത്താല് ശരീരം കഴുകപ്പെട്ടവരുമായി വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പൂര്ണ്ണനിശ്ചയം പൂണ്ടു പരമാര്ത്ഥഹൃദയത്തോടെ അടുത്തു ചെല്ലുക.

22. Let vs drawe nye with a true hearte, in assuraunce of fayth, sprinkeled in our heartes from an euyll conscience, and wasshed in body with pure water.

23. പ്രത്യാശയുടെ സ്വീകാരം നാം മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്ക; വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തവന് വിശ്വസ്തനല്ലോ.

23. Let vs holde the profession of the hope without waueryng, (for he is faythfull that promised:)

24. ചിലര് ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ നമ്മുടെ സഭായോഗങ്ങളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാതെ തമ്മില് പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സ്നേഹത്തിന്നും സല്പ്രവൃത്തികള്ക്കും ഉത്സാഹം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിപ്പാന് അന്യോന്യം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക. നാള് സമീപിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കാണുംതോറും അതു അധികമധികമായി ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

24. And let vs consider one another to prouoke vnto loue and good workes,

25. സത്യത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനം ലഭിച്ചശേഷം നാം മന:പൂര്വ്വം പാപം ചെയ്താല് പാപങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി ഇനി ഒരു യാഗവും ശേഷിക്കാതെ

25. Not forsakyng the assemblyng of our selues together, as the maner of some [is] but exhortyng one (another) and so much the more, as ye see the day approchyng.

26. ന്യായവിധിക്കായി ഭയങ്കരമായോരു പ്രതീക്ഷയും എതിരികളെ ദഹിപ്പിപ്പാനുള്ള ക്രോധാഗ്നിയുമേയുള്ളു.

26. For yf we sinne wyllyngly after that we haue receaued the knowledge of the trueth, there remayneth no more sacrifice for sinnes:

27. മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിക്കാത്തവന്നു കരുണ കൂടാതെ രണ്ടു മൂന്നു സാക്ഷികളുടെ വാമൊഴികേട്ടു മരണശിക്ഷ കല്പിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

27. But a fearefull lokyng for of iudgement, and violent fire, whiche shall deuour the aduersaries.

28. ദൈവപുത്രനെ ചവിട്ടികളകയും തന്നെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച നിയമരക്തത്തെ മലിനം എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കയും കൃപയുടെ ആത്മാവിനെ നിന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്തവന് എത്ര കഠിനമേറിയ ശിക്ഷെക്കു പാത്രമാകും എന്നു വിചാരിപ്പിന് .

28. He that despiseth Moyses lawe, dyeth without mercie vnder two or thre witnesses:

29. “പ്രതികാരം എനിക്കുള്ളതു, ഞാന് പകരം വീട്ടും” എന്നും “കര്ത്താവു തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും” എന്നും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തവനെ നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

29. Of howe muche sorer punyshement (suppose ye) shall he be worthy, whiche treadeth vnder foote the sonne of God? and counteth the blood of the couenaut wherein he was sanctified, an vnholye thyng, and doth despite to the spirite of grace?

30. ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കയ്യില് വീഴുന്നതു ഭയങ്കരം.

30. For we knowe hym that hath sayde, vengeaunce [belongeth] vnto me, I wyl render saith the Lorde: And agayne, the Lorde shall iudge his people.

31. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് പ്രകാശനം ലഭിച്ചശേഷം നിന്ദകളാലും പീഡകളാലും കൂത്തുകാഴ്ചയായി ഭവിച്ചും

31. It is a fearefull thyng to fall into the handes of the lyuyng God.

32. ആ വക അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കൂട്ടാളികളായിത്തീര്ന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടങ്ങളാല് വളരെ പോരാട്ടം കഴിച്ച പൂര്വ്വകാലം ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

32. Call to remebraunce the former dayes, in the which after ye had receaued light ye endured a great fyght of aduersities:

33. തടവുകാരോടു നിങ്ങള് സഹതാപം കാണിച്ചതല്ലാതെ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിലനിലക്കുന്ന ഉത്തമസമ്പത്തു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉണ്ടു എന്നറിഞ്ഞു സമ്പത്തുകളുടെ അപഹാരവും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സഹിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

33. Partly whyle ye were made a gasing stocke, both by reproches & afflictions, and partly whyle ye became companions of them whiche were so tossed to & fro.

34. അതുകൊണ്ടു മഹാ പ്രതിഫലമുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ധൈര്യം തള്ളിക്കളയരുതു.

34. For ye suffred also with my bondes, & toke in woorth the spoylyng of your goodes with gladnesse: knowyng in your selues how that ye haue in heauen a better and an enduryng substaunce.

35. ദൈവേഷ്ടം ചെയ്തു വാഗ്ദത്തം പ്രാപിപ്പാന് സഹിഷ്ണുത നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആവശ്യം.

35. Cast not awaye therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of rewarde.

36. “ഇനി എത്രയും അല്പകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു വരുവാനുള്ളവന് വരും താമസിക്കയുമില്ല;”

36. For ye haue neede of pacience, that after ye haue done the wyll of God, ye myght receaue the promise.

37. എന്നാല് “എന്റെ നീതിമാന് വിശ്വാസത്താല് ജീവിക്കും; പിന് മാറുന്നു എങ്കില് എന്റെ ഉള്ളത്തിന്നു അവനില് പ്രസാദമില്ല”.
ഹബക്കൂക്‍ 2:3-4

37. For yet a very litle whyle, and he that shall come, wyll come, and wyll not tary.

38. നാമോ നാശത്തിലേക്കു പിന്മാറുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലല്ല, വിശ്വസിച്ചു ജീവരക്ഷ പ്രാപിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലത്രേ ആകുന്നു.

38. And the iuste shall lyue by fayth: And yf he withdrawe hym selfe, my soule shall haue no pleasure in hym.
